Mar 8, 2009
a have a acer aspire 5630 and my dvd driver has a problem this is what it says Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.
My HP Pavilion 15-n230us Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) Product # F5W29UA, is having problems with the DVD player. I went to the Device Manager and found the following error code:
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39){Unable to Load Device Driver}%hs device driver could not be loaded.Error Status was 0x%x..I don't know if I made any changes that may have caused this error, I don't remember whether or not it was working previously.
I have Accer aspire e1-571 i want to know abaut base system device, i have installed all drivers in my laptop but base system device driver pending i want to knw how to install it. os win 7 pro 64 bit
when i turn on my Acer Aspire 3000 i put in my password then it makes me choose a windows xp as i have a dual boot but even if i choose either one it give me the message: "windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt <Windows root>system32hall.dll
I don't have the option D2D listed in the BIOS >> Main - so I can't turn it on :-) and going to F10 while booting has no effect. When I examine the disk (out of the computer) I do see drives C: and RECOVERY(Y
Kingston Memory/4GB 667MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL5 SODIMM (Kit of 2)
but my acer only recognizes 1 module at the time. i tested both modules seperatly but and both work so its not the modules. also the bios sees only 1. what is wrong here? according to the sites and manuals it should recognize both mdules.
I have an acer laptop e1-571 with windows 8. the mb failed ordered a new one installed it. on boot now i get no bootable device. The bios shows the hard drive and its the first in the boot order. If i hit f12 after powering on to access boot options the 3rd choice is efi device windows boot manager. If i select that it boots normally and runs fine. is their a way to boot the machine without having to hit f12 every time and selecting efi device to boot to windows? i tried updating the bios as well.
I have an Acer Aspire 5630 and since 2 weeks i'm having problems with the touchpad and the keyboard. I tried reinstalling Windows Vista which didn't work. Then i tried windows 7 and it also has the same problem( also tried new drivers etc) . With an extern keyboard and mouse it is able to use te laptop.
fn+ f7 doenst work. (because de keyboard doenst work )
The strange part is that when i acces the bios, de keyboard works.
When I use to plug my laptop into the mains you could see the screen got a lot brighter as though it was a power surge. For some reason that no longer happens the display is quite dull and tough to read unless in a dark room!
There was a distinct difference to screen brightness between 'High performance' and 'Power saver' mode. This is no longer the case and the laptop seems stuck in power saver brightness!
my dad has an Aspire 5630 and he wants to know what sort of upgrades he can do on it, would he be able to upgrade the ram to 1GB and put an 7,200rpm HD in it?
I have a new Aspire 5630 with vista installed. The disk drive is very high speed and whistles loudly when installing applications from dvd. I expect this and it is not a problem The trouble is that when i try to play a music DVD the same sound completely swamps the music and so DVD playback is a NO NO.
On my desktop PC I had a similar problem and had to install Nero Drivespeed which allows me to set playback speed to "silent"
This does not seem to work on vista ( neither does any other program that i have tried.)
Surely this must be a problem to a lot of people and I would assume that there would be a setting in the bundled DVD playback software to solve this problem. Or perhaps there is?
I have an Acer Aspire 5630 and the USB ports do not go off when Windows is shutdown, hibernating or when it goes into slleep (standby) mode. They only go off when I disconnect the AC power. I just bought an external USB drive as my internal is almost full, but I don't want to have the external drive on 24/7. Disconnecting the drive is a bit inconvenient as I use the laptop with an external display and keyboard and keep the laptop itself hidden behind my desk. I updated the BIOS to Ver. 3.60, but I don't see settings in the BIOS for USB ports. Can these ports be turn off programatically. Do I need a special Acer Application or drivers to turn off the USB ports? I removed all the Acer Management bloatware that came with the laptop. Are there any jumpers inside the laptop that need to be changed?
I am facing problem relating to PCI Device. Whenever i click on this driver in device manager i get a message that it is not installed. On updation too i am getting this message that windows could not find driver software for this device.

I have an HP Pavilion dv6835nr which is running fine and need to get Windows 7 device drivers for the machine but I have not seen them on HP's website and I get the impression that they will not created device drivers for Win 7.
know if the XP or Vista device drivers will function under Windows 7 32-bit?
5 years ago I purchased an Acer One ZG8 Netbook. I have gotten alot of use although now I am facing a crash with Windows XP not loading. I wanted to do a factory reset and see if there is any hope to keep this older Acer as a back up netbook. After powering up the Acer One,,,Windows XP will not load. I am faced with a black screen offering options:
1.Safe Mode 2. Safe Mode with Networking 3. Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Or Last known good configuration (your most recent settings that worked). Lastly, Start Windows Normally
Finally, it prompts me to use the down arrow keys to choose with a 30 second countdown ticker.
I HAVE tried all the options for weeks and weeks. Just as Window XP loads a blue screen with word flash so quickly I can not possibly read it. I am very very close to letting this older version Acer meet its maker --- although through my ignorance I have realized just maybe I could do some sort of factory reset.
I had this problem with my hp pavilion dv6-6b54er entertainment notebook pc. I got the new windows 8.1 64-bit and i lost all my drivers i restored most of them except for the biometric device driver. My bsi sensor wont even lit or flash
When u get to the device manager there is an unknown driver instead, also i cant the biometric devices is missing from the control panel.
I,ve tried this link, but it doesn't work: [URL] .....
2. And do I need to install some drivers for my laptop's motherboard/chipset AMD A76M FCH ? I couldn't find driver for it, so maybe it is pre-installed with Windows 8.1?
