I have this mac ibook4 that keeps giving me a blue screen, when i ever it's powered on
i need to know what is really causing that. i just doesn't respond to anything and some times the screen blinks.
Laptop: Hp ProBook 4510s
When I turn my laptop on, the blue light on the power on button lights for 6 seconds, meanwhile the led near the power plug on right side rapidly blinks 13 times. Always exactly 13 times, so it must be some kind of error code. Then laptop shuts down. Nothing is heard, neither fan, neither hard disk.
i recently installed vista service pack 1 on my system which is a 64 bit OS! a couple minutes after installing and installed all necessary drivers, i then tried to install the PC game by the name of grid, half way into installation, my laptop shutdown giving me the blue screen that say hardware error and dumping memory.... i tried rebooting a couple time but same blue screen results, so i opened my system and then boot again, i then noticed my fan wasnt running continuously, it runs for a couple seconds then stops and then runagain for another couple seconds and stop, it continuously repeats that step, so i then removed the fan and cleaned out the sponge thick dirt i saw in it, blow out the dust from vents and from heat sink, then i tries booting up again and the fan behaves the same god darn way..... how can i solve this problem do you think weather or not my system is 32 bit or 64 bit, wud it affect the operation of my fan?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a bad blue-screen issue with my hp dv6-1245dx laptop. I am crashing to a blue screen at very random times, starting with one occurence a few months ago, followed by two months with no problems, then a few crashes in a row three weeks ago, followed by three weeks of good use. In the last three days the occurences are pretty much every 10 to 20 mintues, at random, and they require a few minutes of waiting before it will crank back up again. ( If I don't wait this short time, it will crank but it throws a black error screen saying "No operating system found" ) I fear it is some failing hardware issue, like the HD about to give out. I have run the Image Diag.exe from the first post on this forum, and have that log cab file available. I also have an image of the blue screen ( it is the same each time, the error is a STOP: 0x000000F4).

I have a g7 1113eo. that wont start up. the battery has been dead for a while, but its been working fine with just the adapter. But yesterday it wouldnt start up anymore, i tried doing the hardware reset (remove battery and hold power button for 15/30secs) but that didnt work, then i started disassembling it but stopped when I found out I didn't have a fitting screwdriver. then pressed the power button again just to check, and the pc started. was a fluke though cause i tried rebooting and it didnt start again. Whenever i press the power button, the small led next to the power plug, blinks 3 times. no sound or other led´s blinking. (The warranty is no longer valid)....
View 5 Replies View RelatedI just purchased a refurbished Thinkpad Yoga, and all was great for a little while. Then I decided to shut it down and set it aside for a few minutes.
Current Status: System responds in no way other than the 'i' light (in the Thinkpad logo) blinking three times when the charger is connected, or the same when the reset button is pressed while the charger is still connected. Nothing else illicits any sort of beep, light, or otherwise.
When I try turning it on the caps lock light blinks 10 times. It doesn't even show the bios screen anymore What could be wrong?
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe laptop is just over a year old, and does not power up at all. This started a couple of weeks ago. At first the LED light would blink orange a few times when the laptop was switched on, but nothing else happened. Then it might just start up, and while booting up the battery light would blink and it would switch off .
I did try removing the battery etc. to discharge of the mainboard as advised, but no difference. I have tried other sockets, same result. I have now left it unplugged for a few days and there is not even the orange light any more.
I have a dell xps 15z laptop and I have replaced the battery because it was not giving any backup. Now i plugged new battery but the battery icon says"0% available, (plugged in, not charging)". Also an indicator is blinking (four times orange and one time white) below the laptop screen (the hinge where screen is attached to the base of laptop).

I performed a hard reset, now when I press the power button the charging light next to the AC power input blinks 3 times (which according to HP customer support webpages indicates a problem with the RAM)...
SO...I opened her up and replaced both RAM modules with brand new ones, done another hard reset and IM STILL GETTING 3 BLINKING LIGHTS and no start u.
I have an Acer Aspire V3 551 8469. It is out of warranty. The indicator power light blinks 4 to 5 times and nothing happens after. I got adventurous and opened it up. I replaces the cord that receives the power coupling from the ac. Still not working. I was told it could be the motherboard but there is no guarantee that is the issue. If it is the mother board I will just have to get one and put it in.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my MBP since 1 week now, and I've been using it a lot. At first, the startup time was around 35 seconds, but recently I have noticed that the blue screen at the end of the startup process is staying for much longer than it should (around 8 seconds).
I have tried:
-Repairing Disk with the Disk Utility and the Leopard DVD
-Repairing Permissions
-Defragmenting (3rd party software)
-Deleting the ApplicationEnhancement.bundle file using [command-S]
-Deleting preference files of uninstalled programs.
But nothing worked. The blue screen still lasts 8 seconds and the pointer appears at the top left corner. The startup time is now 50 seconds, which is about the same as Windows and I don't want that.
I got the blue of death in VMware fusion with windows vista ultimate,I think "Defender" did it, every time I go to the vmware to start windows the blue screen shows up, anyway around this ? I can't do any safe modes or last good configs.

So I installed a new canon printer today, updated ilife 08 to ilife 09(I discovered that the ilife that preinstalled was 08 and the disk that came with macbook was ilife 09, suprise ), and was about to do some software update.
After the software update program checked that there were 6 new updates, it then freeze, and result in slowing other softwares. Then I figured out there is a force quit in apple menu, so I used it and restarted the system. But after the screen turned into blue, it wouldn't respond any more. So I stared at the blue screen for about a minute, and realized that Mac does crash and has blue screen
After anther one minute of waiting, I pushed down the power button and forced the computer to shut down( something I learned from my old Fujitsu laptop, it is one tough laptop, and it lasts for over 8 years already,and still running).
After the computer was restarted, I launched upgrade again, and this time nothing happened. Then I figured out there is something called disk utility that I can use to check the disk, and after the disk permission check, it came back with many permission changes for the canon printer program and some other programs, so I repaired them.
I have a HP Envy M6-1158ca, and recently my Built-in display stopped working. I plugged it into an external display via HDMI and it showed no input. It seems as though the laptop is not booting into Windows either, as usually whenever my laptop boots into windows, the fingerprint scanner blinks letting me know I can now sign in using it. I am extremely frustrated with this, and have an unbelievable amount of stress because this was my only PC.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought a T400. At the moment, it is running on Windows XP, Service Pack 3.
After installation of Windows XP, I have installed all the relevant drivers and no yellow question marks appear in the Device Manager panel. However, during the process of installing these drivers, now whenever I plug in our take out the AC Power Plug, the screen goes blank for about a second and then comes back.
This problem was NOT there immediately after installing Windows XP and Service Pack 3, i.e. before installing the drivers. I think that it is one particular driver which may have caused this.
I have already tried re-installing the Graphic Driver.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy laptop that I use for school started beeping today (7 times). I have been using it for a year and 3 months now (3 months out of warranty) and I don't know what to do.
The laptop is in perfect condition (no drops/spills/never had a virus)
Earlier today I pressed the "fn" key and quickly pressed all the "f1 through f12" buttons when i turned on the power and It worked but after about 40 minutes i put the computer to sleep the problem started again. The "fn" thing did not work anymore even after numerous times...
I am having some real issues with a Latitude E5420. It will sometimes boot no problem, maybe 40% of the time.
Most of the time it goes to the dell splash screen and the bar goes to the top then i get a blank screen. No blinking cursor or anything. No HD activity, no CD drive activity.
I can press F2 and get in to the bios, i can press F12 and get to the boot menu but even after selecting a boot option from the boot menu i will still get a blank screen most of the time.
Once the Laptop boots up it runs fine and doesn't report any errors. A memory test has shown no errors. I have replaces the CMOS battery, which was a bit of a nightmare, i have replaced/swapped the memory modules.
I recently installed windows 8.1 on my dell xps 15z everything works alright but the screen at times displays vertical lights. It gives the image of the screen malfunctioning and then it disappears.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Dell Inspiron M501R will no longer boot up - its shows a black screen and repeatedly beeps 7 times. I understand this means the mother board has failed. The service tag is <ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy> - its waranty has recently expired.
Interestingly, if you google "Inspiron M501R" google suggests "Inspiron M501R 7 beeps". So I'm guessing this laptop has been designed to fail soon after the waranty expires.
I have written a letter to BBC Watchdog asking how long a laptop can be "expected" to last and whether this would be covered by the UK Sale of Goods Act.
