My Dell Inspiron N5110 beeps 5 times for 5 times in a row when I boot up my computer. I ran a system scan everything passed except it said to launch window memory test.
Did that and it also said it passed. I did a code search and have not been able to fing anything with 5 beeps, 5 times in a row.
I insert a memory stick to laptops backside usb drive then the other usb drive that im using for mouse becomes off. This failure occurs after that 5 beeps 3 times in a row at startup... What can i do ....

I already read other posts and have removed battery, power buttom for 30 seconds. etc. It didn't work and I have not tried anything else.
One post talked about removing/replace the internal battery and another talked about remove/replace memory.
What is this the logical progression of things I should try before the Big Hammer?
My dell Inspiron N5110 Beeps 5 times, stop, 5 beeps,stop then the windows open normally and every thing is fine. However i changed the coin cell battery twice and nothing change still beeps. So i updated the BIOS but unfortunately didn't work. More over i did a system restore to a windows update a week ago also still beeps at startup.

The beeps continued even after Windows was running.. And now the computer doesn't turn on.. The fan and stuff turns on but nothing is displayed on the screen.. Also there are no beeps anymore!

I did do my research and knw that it is a read / write RAM error according to the beep code table for dell laptops. I did attempt to change the RAM sticks but it didnt work.

My Inspiron M5030 laptop was working perfectly fine last night. It was plugged in all night, and I had done the usual hibernate/sleep mode before going to bed. When I tried to start it up this morning, the screen remained black. It made the startup fan noise but then that stopped. Then it gave seven quite loud beeps. If I don't turn it off, it continues to give the seven beeps separated by a short break.

The laptop power led goes on, the hard drive led flickers once and the fan goes on but slow. The screen stays black and the laptop does not booth. It then sometimes bleeps times over and over. Is it dead? How can I fix this or at least recover the data in the hard drive?
