has anybody else had a crackling sound when playing sound example music/games. i always get it in my right speaker and how can i fix this i believe this is a software/hardware issue as whenever the sound goes off the crackling deaseses.

The problem is sound been very gargly and sometimes direct music audio fails. I don't won't to buy a sound card.
1. Any drivers you use?
2. Any tweaks you would recommend?
3. Can cleaning the connectors fix it?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen listeing to music using headphones/earphone the sound effects are terrible it echoes, off-pitches.It happens both while listeing youtube videos and while listeing to music/videos stored on my system. I don't remeber if i made any configuration changes in the SOUND setting from the control panel. But I cannot reset it to normal.

My 2 weeks old HP Mini 200-4220tu makes random static noises (ZZZZZTT sound) when i play music/watch youtube vids.. i have installed/reinstalled idt high def audio codec from the hp website but the problem still persists.. i already performed hard reset (as i have read from other posts here: remove battery and power for a few mins) to no avail.. the static sound wont go away ...

Speakers in the laptop play music fine. When I use the headphone jack the music in my headphones has very little dynamic range. The music sounds squashed. The loud parts are limited and the soft parts are raised to the point that I can hear the background noise in the recording. I have never had this problem on any other PC.
I am listening to iTunes, Soundforge and any other program that has audio.
I have a HP 15-r011dx Notebook PC with windows 8.1 and when on youtube or CNN videos, the speakers carack and pop. The commercials that CNN play prior to the story are fine as is a DVD or my loaded music. I relly do not want to reinstall. I have had the computer 3 weeks and I am not sure if it has been there from the beginning. I have updated everything from HP including BIOS and have tried a different browser and adjusted volume levels. Windows has done updates.

It had a few sound problems ( not that annoying but I'd rather get rid of them ^^ ) with my subwoofer, now and again it did some annoying sound like grzzzz when it went to the bass. I had to change the sound to the normal settings, then go back to the high definition sound. ( the one with 6 or 7 different "speakers", instead of the normal stereo one which has only 2, Left and Right. )
Sometimes, my music stopped playing "problems with the audio card" or something.
So I decided to get rid of those problems by installing the latest ( i think ) realtek audio driver.
After the installation, i realised that :
1. The sound didn't work anymore AT ALL
2. When I went in that audio sound properties, it only showed me the stereo, and I can't see the 2nd one which had a better sound quality ( more speakers, more 3d sound .. )
Anyway, I just would like to know if the weird noise coming from the subwoofer is a big problem, and if I should get it back to the shop, or if it's only a driver problem.
And I also would like to know how to get my sound back, and my high quality + subwoofer aswell.
i've recently downgraded my OS from Vista to XP and i've been successful in installing most of the drivers, except for the audio driver.
i've tried installing it from dell.com other websites, XP compatible drives, etc. but none of them works. did anyone have similar problems? does anyone know how to fix it?
Does any of you add Soundblaster AUdigy to your laptop? and how great is the sound compare to stock?

View 6 Replies View Related1. Was ANYONE able to fix their sound stuttering issue on m1530? Through Dell suport, specifically? I've seen many non working solutions, and many components blamed that it makes me believe this problem defies any definition. I used to have this problem all the time, now it just occurs when laptop is on for extended amounts of time (a day) and only if connected to the internet (wireless or lan). Example: Listening to music and turning on a movie trailer on netflix = horrible stuttering, crazy cpu usage, general slow down especially during initial buffering. Anybody with a similar problem? (mind that I'm virtually unable to reproduce the stutter on a freshly restarted lappy - it happens after a day of usage w/ sleep in between)
2. Overheating....just to keep it short: 20 mins of gaming brings up my temps to the ridiculous ~100C CPU and abt the same for GPU + emergency shutdown . My guess is bad/badly mounted heatsink. Was anybody able to resolve an issue like that with dell?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI can't get sound through HDMI connection from my XPS M1530 to my TV (Samsung LCD).
Video transfers great but audio still comes through the laptop speakers.
Testing through Control Panel->Sound->HDMI->Properties->Advanced I can hear the sound through the TV speakers, however there is no audio on my TV when playing music, DVD's, videos etc.
The HDMI installed codec is from Sigma Tel.
Any good updates?

Using the HDMI for sound works, but as this is never really an option, this will not do.
Any Ideas how to fix?

i found out strange thing happened to my laptop. When i tried to play mp3, or any other file through wmp, vlc, itunes no sound was heard. when tried to play with wmp it showed up error i clciked web help but no useful info was found in there. when through vlc i just kept playing music (without sound) i tried updating drivers reinstalling to them that were shipped but no good. i have the warranty bought from the dell. i can/ but dont want to acces the mainboard so i wont loose my warranty. i now think it is a soft/drivers problem. in device manager it shows that everything is ok. tried so set the default audio device, microphone not working ***

CPU usage is very low and memory usage is usually at 1.15GB of 2GB. I tried changing the priority of itunes.exe to "realtime" but the problem still persists...

I have recently bought a new Dell Inspiron 11 3147. Everything was fine for about an hour (created my MS Windows account, installed some apps, laptop was perfectly quiet), until I decided to play some music from YouTube. The sound was really cracking and from that point the laptop constantly makes quiet buzzing/cracking noise (it does not come from speakers!), just like HDD is reading data very fast or the fan was damaged. Sometimes music is played fine, and sometimes (i dont know what it depends on) sound is crackling even more.
Plus when the computer starts, the fan noise is quite buzzing too.
I don't know what could be the problem since it all started when I played music, I dont know what makes music crackle too! I tried to reinstall sound drivers but I guess it's not the driver, since the buzz is there even when Windows is not loaded.
Itunes reports that I have 11GB of music in my library but my itunes music folder and my ipod reports 14GB, what is up with that? Anyone else have anything like this happen? I just don't know if it is something with SL or what....
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a Laptop/Desktop for music recording and editing. I found out that a 15 inch MacBook Pro was going to cost me $3712.44 to ship it to norway with these specs: 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB (2x2GB), 500MB 7200 RPM.
I was okay with $2649 but this got way overpriced (in my opinion).
So I took a look at an iMac 27-inch, specs: 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7, 8GB (4x2GB), 1TB Serial ATA Drive (doesn't mention RPM), and this for "only" $3345.
If I'm right 2.8GHz Quad-Core is 11.2GHz (or is 2.8GHz the total?) and 3.06GHz Duo Core 7.2 GHz (or 3.06GHz).
So all the specs are better, and the screen is BIG. Seems like something I should go for?
I am planning on doing a clean install of windows 7 on my computer but when i do so is it possible that i can just sync my ipod to the empty itunes library and let it put all my ipod music on my computer? or will it ask me if it can erase all the data on the ipod and sync it to that itunes library.
