Feb 8, 2013Since February 8, new drivers are available for my laptop Inspiron 7720 SE. But none of the links work! I get errors for each. All links are not available.

Dell Inspiron 7520 :: Quickset And Windows 7 Theme
Apr 14, 2013I've recently purchased a Dell Inspiron 7520 and installed Windows7. All Dell latest drivers were installed without a problem, however
whenever quickset is being executed windows revert to the default theme complaining that quickset is not compatible with current theme.Â
The only change i've made in my theme is the task bar color (i've not installed any third party theme). The above is happening each time
I boot the laptop and quickset runs at startup. I get the same error in every power plan, when i have the laptop in AC and when it's on battery.

Jun 27, 2009Just checked the website cause I caught something at the corner of my eye as I was getting drivers for my laptop.
But does the dv6z artist edition have it's own theme? By the looks of this, it might just be for the website, but anyone who bought this have this theme installed? I'm guessing they used some type of software such as Stardock WindowBlinds or something similar.

Nov 30, 2009the default (only) clock icon points to 10:15 (arbitrary) the default (only) weather icon says 73 degrees and sunny. I want non-arbitrary icons for the clock and weather in a theme that I can pull off of cydia. or- it doesn't have to be a full blown theme- just the animated icon replacements will do.

Mar 10, 2010new Vaio Z directly from Japanese SonyStyle. But I still have few questions about CTO:
1. Why can't I choose both WiMax and WWAN at the same time? Z comes with Intel 6250 card and dedicated 3G modem in Europe, is Japanese version different in this regard? Will it have USB in miniPCI-E slot for 6200 card if ordered without WiMax but with 3G?
2. I can't find pictures showing all keyboards available... I'm interested in backlight version with keys layout as close to US as possible.

Sep 12, 2009I recently ordered a Vaio FW-490 CTO with an estimated ship date of 9/16, but the order has been processing since the day I ordered it. Also, today I recieved an email:
"We regret to inform you that all or part of your Sony Style order SW********* has been delayed.
In order to serve you better in the future, our warehouse system was shutdown tonight. Regrettably, we encountered problems with your order that prevented your order from being fulfilled in time for the shutdown. Unfortunately, we will be unable to ship your order until 9/18/2009."
Is it normal for it to be in processing this long, or should I call them to see the the "problems with my order" are?

1. I'm interested in getting the Z with the 512GB SSD. Is ordering this configuration only possible via Sony's site?
At first I thought that to be the case, but then I saw in the several hundred page Sony Z thread, links to Jr.com and Amazon.com where they have the Z on sale in various configurations, but no 512GB SSD .....

I had it on my SZ and loved it over the XP Blue. Is there a way to get it back? I still have the restore discs from the SZ.

May 20, 2009I am about to be the owner of an M4400, and I am already the owner of a 2560x1600 monitor. So, the basic question is this - is it possible to connect the two (at full res) without a dock?
Dell only has single link (up to 1080p) DisplayPort to DVI adapters. However, some sites (e.g., here) do sell dual-link ones. I assume that the DisplayPort on the M4400 would have to support dual-link for that to work, though... Would the M4400 work with one of those?

Nov 6, 2008I have a Dell M4400 with nVidia 770 and I also have a Dell 3007WFP which supports 2560x1600 native resolution. Does anyone know if the M4400 will support this resolution if I dock it to an E-Port Replicator and use the DVI output of the docking station to the 3007WFP? When I looked at the Dell manual for the E-Port Replicator (and also the Plus) it didn't say if the DVI output supports dual-link.

Dell :: M4400: Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN Failure
Aug 27, 2009This has been happening a for a couple weeks now.
Problem:
Every time I boot up the computer and switch on the WiFi/Bluetooth button on the right side - only the Bluetooth light turns on above the keyboard.
Temporary Solution:
I go to Device Manager and find that the "Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN" slot has the exclamation sign next to it so I disable the card and then reenable it again, then the problem is gone (the WiFi light turns on and I can now finally see wireless networks in the "Connect" window) .....
Dell Inspiron 14z 5423 :: Slow Wireless Link Speed?
Jan 21, 2013First of all I have a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen - will be taking this up with Dell tommorrow as its really off putting especially on brand new laptop.
My second issue is with wireless - did have problems initially with wireless disconnects and genrally slow speeds
Im not entirely sure but removing Mcafee seemed to work with the disconnects at least - load of rubbish imo
Now my only other major issue is with wireless speeds on the 1703 card
I seem to max out at about 45mb on all broadband speed tests - while on another laptop I get the full speeds of 80mb on the same server at the same location
Im only getting a link speed of 72Mbps in the networking tab of Task Manager and this does seem rather slow - the other laptop gets 450Mbps (better wireless card - to go with my Asus N66U Router)
Anyway my thought process is that the 1703Â wireless card is not up to much - I understand that the 1703 card is wireless and bluetooth - with I think 1 antenna for bluetooth and one for wireless connected to the wireless card.
Now I dont use bluetooth much if at all - so does it make sense to buy just a wireless card and connect the two antennas to the card and therefore losing bluetooth connectivity but gaining better wireless connection
I think I have an Intel Centrino WiFi Ultimate N 6300 in the other laptop

Feb 13, 2009is the sony FW35V(customizable) on the sony style uk site a 1920x1080 a dual lamp LCD?
it says 16.4" H1080 WXGA++ (1920 x 1080) Widescreen X-black LCD screen with built-in "Motion Eye" Digital Camera, but is it a 1920x1080 dual lamp, multiple lamp(how many?) orr single lamp? make sure its the fw35v not the fw35x. the fw35v is the one that costs Ł60 to upgrade the screen. the fw35x says HD1080 (1920x1080) X-black LCD with multiple lamp, which im guessing is a dual lamp LCD right? also is the Dual lamp worth it for Ł60?
what does it do? give brighter?, sharper?, more deep and rich colours? or something else?
