I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop and suddenly it started showing a pecular behavior. Wifi works properly when the laptop runs on battery. The moment I connect the adapter and power the mains on, it looses the connectivity and it newer shows any wifi connections available. If I remove the power adapter from the laptop, wifi starts working again.
I verified by connecting another power adapter and saw the same problem. Condition is same with another wifi connection also.
I bought a new laptop HP Pavilion g7.I got Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter but my problem is that I can only connect to 802.11 n network and I can not use 802.11 g wifi. When I trying to connect 802.11 g wifi it says limited can not download any webpage but I should use it with this Ralink 802.11 bgn adapter yes? I have already updated the Wifi adapter but didn't work I turned off every firewall and antivirus software and I have already writing by manually IP address ,subnet mask etc...I got window 8 software. what has windows 7 I can connect without any trouble to 802.11 g wifi! I'd like to use 802.11 g because the signal strength is stronger than 802.11 n .I can receive the signal from 802.11 g wifi network somehow.
Purchased HP Pavilion x360. Everytime I go to use my laptop I have to reconnect the WIFI through network diagnostics. How can I keep my WIFI connected?
R7-572, about 10 months old with zero wifi problems otherwise. Win 8.1
I have a Plugable UD-3900 USB 3.0 docking station [URL] ...
I have not figured out a set pattern yet, but I mostly lose wifi when I plug in the docking station. It will recognize networks but not be able to connect to them. Yesterday was the first time I tried connecting these two together and I was able to somehow solve the issue temporarily. How I don't know. I am not able to reproduce tonight.
Just now I tried plugging it in and I was able to retain wifi for about 5 minutes.
When I run the Internet Connections troubleshooter it says "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration"...
So, I have B590 Lenovo Notebook with Windows 8 and the Wi-Fi doesn't work well.
When I try connect at home, my Wi-fi works fine. Not problem. But when I try another one - e.g. In School or somewhere in the city, the others wi-fis don't work. Windows 8 tell me something like "It's not possible to connect" .....
I am using an Hp 2000 Notebook PC, and the wireless adapter that came installed on the computer is a Ralink RT5390 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter. I have run the driver update tool, and it says that I have the most up to date driver installed. I have also run the "Diagnose Problem" tool, and it says that there are no problems. However, the computer constantly looses internet connection. I assume it has something to do with the wireless adapter, because all of the other wireless devices in the house have no issues. The operating System is Windows 7.
I manage to pair my 2-in-1 pc Acer Switch 10 with an externat Bluetooth (bt) device only when the tablet is connected to my home wifi network. As soon as I disconnect from the wifi network, the pairing with the bt device is disabled. If I try to pair the bt device when wifi connection is off, the pairing succeeds just for a few seconds (1 or 2) and then it disconnects.
The support assistance of the bt device, since it actually manages to pair with the pc in such wifi wird conditions, suggested that it probably can be a problem due to the chip of the pc that probably manages both the wifi and the bt connections and is not able to manage them separately.

and updating the bt driver downloaded from the ACER Drivers and Manuals webpage. However, the installation procedure were interrupted as the installed bt driver appears to be "later".
Following are the laptop configuration: Quick link:

After 4 hours or so while surfing webpages, suddenly it started showing no internet connection and asked to reload webpages. So I looked at the wireless network icon on the bottom right corner which showed full bars. A few seconds later a yellow colored triangle with exclamation mark appeared on the network icon showing no internet and limited internet.
After turning the wifi off and back on the internet connects and works for few hours. After few hours, it lost internet connectivity again with the same above symptoms. I have this laptop now for 3 days and in past 3 days I had this problem at least 25 times.
First year, my Yoga's touchscreen was always working correctly, regardless of connected USB devices.
Since some time, if I connect a device into USB 2.0 port, touchscreen gets immediately disabled, no more responding to any touch. In Device Manager, it is not showing any errors. I found a workaround that in Device Manager (HID Devices branch), touchscreen must be set Disabled, then Enabled and then it comes back online. But I know this action was never needed before.
I think it began happening around the time when I started to use Yoga with barcode scanner Heron D-130. But the problem is now happening regadless of USB device, even with devices which were not impacting the touchscreen before. Perhaps not barcode scanner, but some Windows update caused this. Do you have any solution for this so touchscreen will keep working after another USB 2.0 device is connected?
I have Thinkpad Edge E330 bought this July, with win8 downgraded to win7. It recently started a problem where the laptop's own display doesn't display anything (just blank) if I don't have external display connected. The external display doesn't have be in use, just connected, and E330's own display works fine. If I disconnect the external display, the E330's own display goes blank also. It doesn't matter what display setting I have.Currently I'm not able to use my E330 as a laptop at all.
I had purchased new xps 14z L412z but after 3 months WiFi is not working in my laptop. I had uninstall driver centrino 6230 and try to re install back but I am unable to install the driver it's shows error while installing the driver.
i Bought a dell precision m4800 it came it windows 8 i updated it and now my wifi switch is not working it does'nt turmn off and now i can't turn the bluetooth on as well, it says that you need to turn on the wireless hardware but it is already on
I own an Inspiron N5110, and dunno why, but the wireless stops working after a while. I had this problem in both windows 7 and ubuntu, and why this problem occurs.
And when it stops, it really means STOP, cause it stops detecting networks, when usually there are like a dozen of these around, and no matter what i do, how many times i disable and re enable it, it never seems to work, until i restart my laptop.
In ubuntu, this problem occurs whenever i download large files, and in windows 7, whenever id start any virtual machine.
I am trying to reinstall my Dell Inspiron N 5110 (after my wireless connection was disabled (I dont know how) and my efforts to reenable the wireless connection were useless). While I tried to install the drivers, the drivers suitable, as identified by dell software, was for ethernet and none of the wireless/bluetooth drivers where selected as suitable. When I go to the device manager I couldnt see any wireless adapters that need drivers.
HP 630 notebook PC, Product number A6E92EA#ABV... WIFI button on f12 indicating itsoff and not working when i press on it. network controller and PCI on device manager all are no drive (code 28) and also Bluetooth.
recently purchased the HP 15 Notebook PC having Windows 8.1 OS. When I setup the laptop initially and was trying to configure the machine it detected my home WiFi...however i skipped the step as I didnt remember the password.
I configured it on Ethernet and it worked fine.
when I tried to setup the WiFi later, it doesnt show any WIFI networks. The Wifi light on my keypad is on indicating its active but no wfi network visible. I tied restarting the laptop and my Wifi router but it didn't work.
I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 3520 the wifi was working fine, and then it all of a sudden stopped. I already went and bought a new router, and tried using my Ethernet cable. The new router hasn't changed it but i can connect to my LAN network with the Ethernet cable. I am not satisfied with the LAN network because I bought a laptop so i could use it all of the house. I will not purchase anything else because i already bought an 85 dollar Belkin router.
I have an Acer Extensa 5420 and it came with Windows Vista (no recovery discs just 2 partitions with one recovery) which I wiped and installed Ubuntu onto. I went to install XP and the wireless card doesn't work.
I downloaded the driver from Acer's own site and it says that the card is ejected/not installed. I have no idea what to do and all acer is telling me to do is to redownload the same drivers and try again.
Problem : My wifi switch buton (f12) is not working . When i press it it doesn't work and the light still white not red . How can i do to fix this problem.
So i upgraded to windows 8 last year, it was fast but then day by day, it became slow. This laptop has a 2gb ram and a 64-bit processor, Intel atom N450. Since windows 8 was slow, i dedcided to install windows 7. So after i installed, all the drivers were working fine EXCEPT FOR MY WIFI CONNECTION. After more than a week of struggle, i tried updating my drivers and doing a lot of things. But my wifi it says 'No connections available'. Only ethernet works.Even i installed the latest updates in Windows update. Right now i have the latest Broadcom 802.11b/g network driver. Version 5.100.xxxx. I even tried uninstalling the driver from the device manager but even then i CAN'T search for wifi networks, infact it dosen't show any wifi networks.
I replaced the hard drive on my HP Pavilion DV6-6c35dx and did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The network drivers were the first I tried to install, but I was unable to activate the WIFI. I was able to successfully install the ethernet driver (Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver), so I can get online.
None of the other network drivers listed for my laptop seem to have done anything: Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 7; Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter; Atheros Bluetooth Driver. I cannot find any wireless devices in device manager, but the laptop definitely has the hardware because it worked flawlessly on my old hard drive.
The WIFI indicator light on the keyboard is orange, and nothing happens when I press it. It just occurred to me while typing this post that I should check in the BIOS, and I will check that right after I finish; There was nothing useful in the BIOS.
After some virus problems I set up my system from the scratch, formatting the hard drive and reinstalling Windows. I also downloaded the Lenovo System Updater, installed all updates and downloaded the ThinkVantage Solution Center. Now, the PC works again BUT the WiFi adapter does not work. It seems to be non-existent, if I press F9 it says I am suppossed to press the hardware switch. I have a ThinkPad Edge 15, it does not have such a switch at all.
In the hardware manager i find one network device without driver, so I suppose this is it. However, no driver seems to work. I downloaded the WiFi dirver(s) from the Lenovo website and installed them, nothing happens. What can I do?
Here are my specifications: -Thinkpad Edge 15 -Windows 7 Home Premium (OEM) - the driver I installed which did not work: Intel Wireless LAN (bg, abg, abgn) for Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit), XP - ThinkPad
I am pretty certain that the hardware works, before I set uo the system WiFi was not at all a problem.
My laptop is HP Pavilion dv6-3055tx and has win 7 ultimate 64bit installed. From past few days, i noticed that three keys of my keyboard are not working whenever the wifi key is ON.
These keys are: 1-Delete 2-Left Arrow 3-Right arrow
When i turn off wifi key, it works normally. I don't know what the problem really is?
I recently bought HP compaq 15-s006TU and the wifi doesn't work in windows. The wifi button on the keyboard is always orange. I have tried downloading and installing the wifi and bluetooth drivers from the following links [URL] They install but wifi still doesn't work. I have windows 7 Professional 64bit I also tried updating drivers from device manager, but it says that the drivers are up to date.
Laptop not detected by wireless devices. Unable to connect wifi direct. Bluetooth is working.Unable to install qualcom atheros lan or realtek driver. For bluethooth Qualcomm Atheros Bluetooth 4.0+HS Driver for Microsoft Windows installed successfully. But wireless lan not installed successfully.
Ok. My laptop won't connect to the internet. It connectes to the wifi fine but will not connect to the internet. I tried hardwiring and that won't work either. All other devices connect fine. I uninstalled that and it worked fine. I am unable to find that now. The router is a Verizon Fios / Actiontec router M142RWR.
