Dell Inspiron 3520 :: WiFi Working Fine But All Of A Sudden Stopped
Dec 29, 2012
I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 3520 the wifi was working fine, and then it all of a sudden stopped. I already went and bought a new router, and tried using my Ethernet cable. The new router hasn't changed it but i can connect to my LAN network with the Ethernet cable. I am not satisfied with the LAN network because I bought a laptop so i could use it all of the house. I will not purchase anything else because i already bought an 85 dollar Belkin router.
I have an acer aspire 5750z computer, a while back my wifi suddenly stopped working, but the ethernet is fine. Â I've searched the internet and tried to install the required driver (Atheros), but when I try it says that the "drive might have been ejected please reinsert it now" or something along those lines. When I go to the driver manager the wifi driver isn't even listed under network adapters, oonly the ethernet drver was there. Â I've heard that if your computer has had a virus or if you had dropped it the wifi card might have been damaged and I wanted to know if that's true, and if so can I buy a new wifi card?
My webcam stopped working all of a sudden. I have HP ENVY dv6-7258nr Notebook PC with Windows 8. The camera app says "Connect a camera." and the device manager does not show "Imaging Devices". Instead there is "Other Devices" which has a subcategory of "Unknown Devices" with a yellow mark.
I have updated, reinstalled cyberlink youcam drivers, tried system restore (which does not complete saying i have an anti virus open when i don't have any antivirus on my notebook) but nothing works. Scanning for hardware does not bring up any thing. I have also followed the instructions given on hp site and opened the youcam software but it does not detect the camera.
Simple Pass stopped working, on my Envy 15 j009wm windows 8.1 notebook, suddendly today. HP Recovery Manager and tried to fix it there, but it didn't work. When I manually click on Simple Pass it won't open... that is to say the page starts to come on, but then it flashes off and won't open.
I had bought a Dell Inspiron 3520 three weeks ago from Best Buy ( stupid) and the hard drive is no longer working. I didn't opt for the warranty (dummy me). Which hard drive I should buy to replace it.
My touchpad doesn't work but the buttons are working fine. It also clicks randomly (not with the left or right mouse buttons) so I have to disable it. I have installed the latest version of the Synaptic driver and the problem still persists. I think only the touchpad is having a problem because when I use a wireless mouse, it works fine.
My laptop (Dell Inspiron 15 3521 model) was working fine until this week. It suddenly slowed down.Â
Once I turn it on, it works fine but after 30 mins - 1hr, it begins to slow down. While I type words on my keyboard, it would take a minute or so for them to appear on screen in MS Word. My browser would also slow down in loading. When I try to close programs, they would go "NOT RESPONDING" and when I try to open programs, it would take minutes for them to open up. I also tried plugging in a flash drive and the laptop took 3 minutes to recognize it.
What caused this sudden slow down? Is it because of an update? Or does my computer need repair? I've only used it for 7 months. Â
I am getting the above msg when trying to use the built-in Web cam for Video or for “picture capture”, i.e. photos.
I removed everything with the Dell camera and reinstalled the “Creative Labs Dell Webcam Manager , 140 mb”. No joy I also installed from the Dell site "input device drivers"- "Creative labs driver, R2RC1, A04", no joy.
Webcam works fine with Messenger therefor I am cautious to “reinstall/remove, disable” or so the Webcam Device in Device Manager since I don’t want to ruin it further
I did a bit of searching and noticed others found solutions mainly by reinstalling drivers though this has not worked for me. Would someone have any other tips? Here some PC details: Dell Inspiron 1525, Vista Home Premium, SP1, 2GB RAM, one reimage done around 4 months ago, not sure if it happened because of that)
I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and the 98% ofthe keyboard has stopped working. I turned it on and tried to log on but nothing. I tried restarting it, taking out the battery and even cleaning the keyboard still nothing.
I have an Inspiron 1720 laptop. It will be 2 years old this coming Christmas...and I ain't got the extended warranty so no go on sending this thing back to dell.
Recently within the past week or so the 1 and only fan has stopped working on it. Once I found out it stopped working I went and download SpeedFan to check on my temps and they was pretty high it showed the above normal arrow and sometimes even the flame icon next to the temps. So I have not been using my laptop since. I tried taking this thing apart but I have had no luck. I'm not very experienced in working on laptops.
~~UPDATE~~ My fan is working now. I don't know if I jumped to conclusions whenever my fan wouldn't turn on after a good 20 mins or so of just web surfing. So I decided to just hop on a game and play. Then there it was not even 5 mins into playing the fan kicked in and starting pushing out hot air very nicely, but I did look at the temps on SpeedFan and during gameplay my GPU would reach 140F and CPU would get at like 130-135F. My idle temps are still high in my opinion. The GPU idles in these ranges 125-130F and CPU at 100-110F. Is these temps normal? .....
I've got a new Inspiron 15 (S/N DPDYC12) with Ubuntu, installed Win7 x64 on it, most drivers from the Dell site, and on launch it brings up the error "Synaptics touchpad 64-bit enhancements has stopped working". When I try to enter mouse options in control panel, I get the error "Unable to connect to synaptics pointing device driver'. Tried reinstalling the driver, rebooting, etc. How do I fix it?
I have a new Inspiron 5547 w/Windows 7, everything is working well except for the Touchpad. Initially the touchpad was working fine, then it stopped responding, only when I attached a USB mouse could I use the laptop. I re-installed drivers and the Touchpad worked correctly again. A few days later, the trackpad stopped working again....reinstalled drivers yet again and everything worked fine. Now for the 3rd time in 4 days the trackpad is not working. Is this a hardware or Windows 7 Issue?
I bought an Inspiron 14R about four months ago. The touchscreen worked fine until maybe a month ago. It was after the computer had some sort of update that the touchscreen stopped working. Any clue if there is a driver or something that I can download to fix this problem?
My HP elite book 8460p will not get online , but the WiFi connection shows up fine. I am aware that I am missing three drivers in the "other" devices section.. I believe those might be the reason but I'm not sure and because I can't connect the PC to internet I have to download them manually from another laptop to a flash drive but I can't find any direct downloads without getting driver set up or driver restore.. The drivers missing are, base system device, universal serial bus (usb) &, unknown device.
So, I have B590 Lenovo Notebook with Windows 8 and the Wi-Fi doesn't work well.
When I try connect at home, my Wi-fi works fine. Not problem. But when I try another one - e.g. In School or somewhere in the city, the others wi-fis don't work. Windows 8 tell me something like "It's not possible to connect" .....
I recently bought Dell Inspiron 15 5547 with Ubuntu.
When I installed Windows 7, I receive error message "Synaptics TouchPad 64-bit Enhancements has stopped working." Wen I close this my touchpad start working erratically. While typing cursor moves itself without touch or click.
The driver given on Dell site under Windows 7 is same as for Windows 8. I also tried drivers from Synaptics website but nothing worked.
The touchpad on my dell inspiron 1545 has stopped working for no apparent reason. The left and right buttons still work. An external mouse works and I was able to check my touchpad settings using it, the touchpad settings all appear to be in order and I verified it was enabled. I can't understand why the touchpad suddenly stopped working...
The touchpad on my Inspiron 15 stopped working this morning. I have a mouse plugged in and that seems to work but I'd like to get my touchpad working again. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the touch pad drivers but it won't allow the driver to reinstall.
My touch screen has recently stopped working for an unknown reason. I looked under "Devices' in 'Device Manager' using the side 'Search' tool and I actually can't find the touch screen program anywhere. I ran a Diagnostics Test for it and it said that the device could not even be found.
I have an Inspiron 1501 - it's old but it woks great.. I tried updating the BIOS following the instructions on the Dell site. I repeatedly get the Winphlash User Interface has stopped working. What is the proper technique to do this BIOS update without errors? I don't get any instructions on line - only a DOS type window then it disappears.
Also on the Dell site re Drivers, It finds my Service Tag and then I get the message that my operating system Windows Vista Home Basic is not available on the machine --but it was bought from DELL with this OS?
It's not like normal fan working when computer gets cooler stops, when it's heating up starts working. It happened 7 days ago. And that never happened since then. But I'm still wondering why it's happened. My laptop is just a few days old. I was checking my air vent and suspiciously was being silent. After keep checking 5 to 10 min the fan still wasn't not working. And then I started running heavy software like video converting program. CPU was working 100% when I load this, fan still was not working laptop bottom was getting heated up. Then decided to check my cpu temp and installed everest ultimate edition. Everest doesn't recognize both cpu temp and fan.
I restarted laptop because my laptop was getting hotter. And when I restart it, laptop fan started working normally. CPU temp, fan speed are recognized in everest software. After I noticed that in system cooling policy settings was in passive mode on battery. Why it's happened? I doubt it's cord unplugged or sth. Cause software couldn''t detect both cpu temp and fan. Remember, after I restarted software detected the fan and temp, all fan thing go back to normal. And if it was loose connection why it's worked back again when I restarted and still working. I'm not able to give it back.
Inspiron 1300, been plugging an external monitor in & using function F8 for years but it just failed. The monitor isn't recieving the signal anymore. Tried another monitor as well. My laptop screen is lit up as always, and I can see some movement when I cntrl alt delete, but I can't read anything to see what's wrong. Is it my video card? Is that the thing I plug my VGA cord for the monitor into?
