HP Pavilion G4 Networking :: Airplane Mode Turned Off But Unable To Turn On WiFi
Jun 5, 2014I'm runnng Windows 8 on a HP Pavillion g4. I was a playing a game with the wifi off, the lan wire connected, and the battery out, on high perfomance mode. The game crashed, I shut the laptop off by keeping to power button pressed. After starting it up again and trying to use wifi, I realized that pressing the wireless button would show "airplane mode off" on screen but it would not turn blue, nor would the wifi turn on.
After this, I attempted a system restore, repairing existing drivers, checking BIOS, and a hard reset by taking out the battery, pressing on the button for 30 seconds, and then starting up again. None of these methods have worked so far.

Dec 29, 2012I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 3520 the wifi was working fine, and then it all of a sudden stopped. I already went and bought a new router, and tried using my Ethernet cable. The new router hasn't changed it but i can connect to my LAN network with the Ethernet cable. I am not satisfied with the LAN network because I bought a laptop so i could use it all of the house. I will not purchase anything else because i already bought an 85 dollar Belkin router.

Oct 17, 2014I have an acer aspire 5750z computer, a while back my wifi suddenly stopped working, but the ethernet is fine. I've searched the internet and tried to install the required driver (Atheros), but when I try it says that the "drive might have been ejected please reinsert it now" or something along those lines. When I go to the driver manager the wifi driver isn't even listed under network adapters, oonly the ethernet drver was there. I've heard that if your computer has had a virus or if you had dropped it the wifi card might have been damaged and I wanted to know if that's true, and if so can I buy a new wifi card?

Dec 11, 2014recently purchased the HP 15 Notebook PC having Windows 8.1 OS. When I setup the laptop initially and was trying to configure the machine it detected my home WiFi...however i skipped the step as I didnt remember the password.
I configured it on Ethernet and it worked fine.
when I tried to setup the WiFi later, it doesnt show any WIFI networks. The Wifi light on my keypad is on indicating its active but no wfi network visible. I tied restarting the laptop and my Wifi router but it didn't work.

Dec 12, 2009i'm the owner of a HP 6730b laptop, a few days ago the power button stop functioning, and the only way to start the laptop is with the INFO button, i don't know what the problem may be.
The othe issue is that i want to upgrade the RAM, but i opened the back cover and there was only 1 slot with 1 gb of ram. the question is where is the other slot? because i have 2 gb of ram, but i can see only 1 slot.

HP Dv6-6c35dx Networking :: WiFi Drivers Not Working?
Jan 26, 2015I replaced the hard drive on my HP Pavilion DV6-6c35dx and did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The network drivers were the first I tried to install, but I was unable to activate the WIFI. I was able to successfully install the ethernet driver (Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver), so I can get online.
None of the other network drivers listed for my laptop seem to have done anything: Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 7; Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter; Atheros Bluetooth Driver. I cannot find any wireless devices in device manager, but the laptop definitely has the hardware because it worked flawlessly on my old hard drive.
The WIFI indicator light on the keyboard is orange, and nothing happens when I press it. It just occurred to me while typing this post that I should check in the BIOS, and I will check that right after I finish; There was nothing useful in the BIOS.

All other devices connect fine. I uninstalled that and it worked fine. I am unable to find that now. The router is a Verizon Fios / Actiontec router M142RWR.

Apr 2, 2013My pavilion g6 laptop's wifi adapter hasn't been working correcty recently. my internet router and networks are running fine as they should be, but every time i reboot my laptop, it keeps saying that there is no connection and no other wifi netowrks, when there clearly is other networks because of my surrounding neighbours.
I have tried a system restore to resolve the problem, but it has no affect and my norton is affecting the system restore of disabling the antivirus.

Nov 17, 2014I'm using HP Pavilion Dv4 3106tx. I do'nt know what happened but out of no where my wifi adapter somehow stopped working. whenever I enable my wifi button, the bluetooth only works and the wifi icon that usually shows on the lower right of the Taskbar doesn't show. I also checked the Device manager>Network Adapters, the wifi adapter is not there. I also tried "Scan for hardware changes" but still there is no Wifi adapter showing up.
Right now I'm just connecting through ethernet for internet connection because my wifi is not working.
HP Pavilion G6 2342dx Networking :: WiFi Not Working After Recommended Driver Update
Oct 23, 2014I have the Pavilion G6 2342dx running Windows 8. Yesterday, I used HP's support assistant to perform a few recommended driver updates. Among the things updated was the Qualcomm Atheros Wifi device driver and the HP wireless button driver. Wifi device installed was 10...222, from 10....212.
After the update, my laptop is unable to detect any wifi networks. It just shows "No networks found." I also noticed that the wifi button light (on F12) is always white whether or not I activate flight mode or not. I get an on-screen message alright about airplane mode status changing. However, it does not appear to be actually turning on/off the wifi because from the sidebar, it looks like wifi is on but with the "No networks found" message persisting. Also, the wifi icon on the status bar remains grayed out with an red x on it.
I have tried disabling and enabling the adaptor with no success. I have tried downloading and reinstalling the driver (10...212) with no luck. I even tried disabling, uninstalling and reinstalling the device from device manager. System restore fails everytime I try it. Interestingly, the latest driver on HP support website is the 212, no mention of the 222 driver.

Aug 17, 2014I've a HP Compaq 6730b with build in webcam. According hardware info, webcam should work and drivers are installed.
When I start up HP_Webcam.exe or Youcam the blue led is not turning on and I receive the following error:

I believe those might be the reason but I'm not sure and because I can't connect the PC to internet I have to download them manually from another laptop to a flash drive but I can't find any direct downloads without getting driver set up or driver restore.. Jun 16, 2014I've got an HP Pavilion g6-2260sh notebook with Windows 8.1 Pro operating system. My problem is that the internet download speed had fallen from 80 Mbits to 3-4 Mbits. The upload speed stayed the same as before, 25 Mbits. My notebook is connected to a router with another notebook and a PC. Those 2 computers have excellent internet speeds. I've reinstalled the operating system, but the issue still persists. After the reinstallation, the speed was fine for maybe an hour and then it dropped to 3-4. I only installed drivers from the hp driver finder, nothing else. I've tried the connection with cable and wi-fi with the same results. The device manager shows 1 Unknown device and 1 missing driver for Ralink_RT3290_Bluetooth_01

Feb 3, 2013I have an HP ENVY dv6-7246us Notebook PC with a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 802.11b/g/n wireless adaptor. the past 2 weeks the adaptor has been turned off and I can not find a way to turn it back on.
In device manager the adaptor is shown to be working properly. The indicator light (f12) is showing white as it should and toggles into and out of airplane mode properly.I have tried to open the properties tab in network connections to no avail. I also could not find a newer driver for the adaptor.the ethernet adapter is working well. I have Windows 8 64 bit and am using AVG anti-virus.I need the wireless to be working properly or I will just have to get another computer.
