View 5 RepliesI don't know what is happening! In the morning, I was able to use the wireless connection of my laptop! Suddenly I cannot find any network connection! I did reformat the laptop already, and went to bios set up, restored it but nothing happen! I also took out the battery and disconnected the AC Power, pressed the power button for 30 seconds, as read in the Internet to at least reset but it does not work for me!
Bluetooth is on (based on hp connection manager wireless is off (disabled by mobility center) troubleshoot result (wireless capability off)
I recently bought a Lenovo z50-70 laptop with Broadcom Wireless Adapters. Its a Windows 7-32 bit system. Wireless LAN worked fine for a few hours, but after a restart it started saying Wireless Capability is turned off. i have tried following:
1. looked for a hardware wireless switch. there is none.
2. reinstalled WLAN drivers from lenovo site without success.
3.restarted WLAN Autoconfig service for no avail.
Thinkpad x200, Windows 7 Does not connect to Internet, does not show list of available WiFi points.
Windows Diagnostics says everything is ok except "Wireless capability is turned off" Pushing the little switch on the left side of the Thinkpad to green does not change anything.
What can I do?

I have an HP ENVY dv6-7246us Notebook PC with a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 802.11b/g/n wireless adaptor. the past 2 weeks the adaptor has been turned off and I can not find a way to turn it back on.
In device manager the adaptor is shown to be working properly. The indicator light (f12) is showing white as it should and toggles into and out of airplane mode properly.I have tried to open the properties tab in network connections to no avail. I also could not find a newer driver for the adaptor.the ethernet adapter is working well. I have Windows 8 64 bit and am using AVG anti-virus.I need the wireless to be working properly or I will just have to get another computer.
Wi-fi was working fine. But now it cannot be turned on. OS is Windows 8, laptop is HP Compaq 6730b.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm runnng Windows 8 on a HP Pavillion g4. I was a playing a game with the wifi off, the lan wire connected, and the battery out, on high perfomance mode. The game crashed, I shut the laptop off by keeping to power button pressed. After starting it up again and trying to use wifi, I realized that pressing the wireless button would show "airplane mode off" on screen but it would not turn blue, nor would the wifi turn on.
After this, I attempted a system restore, repairing existing drivers, checking BIOS, and a hard reset by taking out the battery, pressing on the button for 30 seconds, and then starting up again. None of these methods have worked so far.

I just got my Dell Outlet Latitude E6500, and I can't seem to get the wireless network running sometimes.
When I had the computer on battery, it somehow connected to my router, but when I later plugged it in, it wouldn't connect. No idea what's going on, but I did get a message that said the Dell Wireless card was not connected ("hardware disconnected")
Is this an issue b/c I bought it refurbished, or would I have faced this with a brand new computer too?
Separately, I didn't realize how large this computer is. Makes me think that perhaps I should return it and get a 14". Not sure yet what to do.
I bought a new HP 15-p036tx and installed a windows 8. The wireless adapter was not visible in network adapters. I tried installing all network drivers, but the Broadcom drivers are giving and error and exiting.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had this problem a couple times, and each time I had to restart my entire computer and reinstall everything before I could connect again. The computer has no problem connecting with a cable, but it says it can't find Wi-Fi. I would really love to avoid restarting and restoring the computer for a fifth time if I could. I don't know the specifics of the computer, I think it might be a 14z Touch...

View 7 Replies View Related I will start out with my laptop's system information (and I am typing this on a cell phone)It is an HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC with product number - B3K21PA#ABG. Serial number is 2CE2201C96. I have a Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter according to my device manager. I have recently changed my ISP and the wireless router they have provided is the Linksys E1200 model. Now, on to the problem - after a prolonged internet use (skype call or playing internet games) my laptop just stops giving me access to the internet.
And I say it like that because the internet connection icon shows that I have network access and internet connection but none of my software or browsers are able to connect to the internet. I have tried updating the driver (both by checking driver updates and by downloading the drivers manually). I have also tried system restores and everything else I could think of, short of actually doing a factory reset on the entire thing. And I should also mention - although this issue has occurred several times now since I changed ISP (and yes, I called them about it too), this current time seems to be permanent since it has been hours and it is still not working.
