HP Compaq 15 A00t2u Networking :: Unable To Connect To Internet Via WiFi
May 21, 2014I am using HP Compaq 15 a00t2u, windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I'm not able to connect to the internet via WiFi. Everytime I connect, it says,"no network access." There's a yellow triangle over the WiFi icon. Windows diagonsed it but failed to correct it. A message appears " Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP address. At times, it fixes the issue but within seconds, the problem again hops up.I am able to connect my mobile and other devices via same router. Also, when I switch on my mobile's Wifi Tethering, laptop connects to the network easily without any issue.

May 14, 2014I was happily connecting to my home wifi yesterday evening before my HP Pavilion g7 notebook updated to windows 8.1. Now I can only connect via ethernet cable.
I phoned Microsoft Support and was told that my wifi driver was out of date and that this needs to reinstalled. I have had a look at available downloads for network drivers but I am unsure how to establish which one I need.... there are 4 options.
Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, there was only one driver which needed update according to this. The Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. When I checked for updates here is said that it had updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.
HP Envy M6 Networking :: Laptop WiFi Unable To Detect N-band
Jun 8, 2014I have an HP Envy m6 laptop with a Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.1b/g/n WiFi Adapter.
I have a Belkin DB600 N+ router.
All the phones and pc's on the wifi are fine and picking up the N-band.
My laptop is not. I have Windows 8.1 installed in it. My laptop is running fine on the g-band, and it's seeing all the b and g bands, just not the n-band.
I've updated my wifi adapter driver through the "Update Driver" option on the adapter, and I've also uninstalled and rebooted my wifi adapter driver (to have it reset to the original driver). It's still not picking up the n-band.

Jul 7, 2013I just got a brand new HP Envy. However, i have not been able to maintain a wifi connection. Usually it will not connect to my wifi or will only connect for a few minutes and then say 'limited' and then not connect at all. I did the full windows updates for the computer. I updated the drivers for the wifi adapter. I updated the firmware to my router. I also uninstalled norton. None of these have worked, still will not connect or will connect and drop within a few minutes. My system information is as follows:

The network is running fine, i just cannot figure out what the problem is with this HP Envy.

I have installed the Network driver which has enabled the LAN but not able to see Wifi connection icon in system tray. The Wifi led on the wifi button on my keypad is always on as soon as start.

Jun 5, 2014I'm runnng Windows 8 on a HP Pavillion g4. I was a playing a game with the wifi off, the lan wire connected, and the battery out, on high perfomance mode. The game crashed, I shut the laptop off by keeping to power button pressed. After starting it up again and trying to use wifi, I realized that pressing the wireless button would show "airplane mode off" on screen but it would not turn blue, nor would the wifi turn on.
After this, I attempted a system restore, repairing existing drivers, checking BIOS, and a hard reset by taking out the battery, pressing on the button for 30 seconds, and then starting up again. None of these methods have worked so far.

Jun 22, 2014I have a compaq presario, product name "Presario C700" and p/n "FE934UA#ABA." The operating system is Windows Vista. I have internet from Comcast and the router I am using is Netgear. I recently moved to a new place and am having trouble connecting to the Wifi at home. I've had this laptop for several years now and have been able to connect to some wifi in the past, but there have been times when I haven't been able to connect to wifi in some public places. I am able to connect to the wifi on my phone and another laptop but not this one. I have tried resetting the router and numerous other steps but nothing seems to resolve the problem. Every time I try to connect, it says that the signal strength is excellent, but it is unable to identify the network and says that "the router is unavailable." I have already called my router company but they were not able to resolve the problem. The only way I can connect to the internet is using an ethernet cord.

Sep 8, 2014I bought my HP 15 a few days ago and since yesterday (after I restarted it) it can't find my network. Also, sometimes it finds all the surrounding networks, sometimes one or two, sometimes none of them, but it never shows mine.
All my other devices connect to the network just fine and also when I connect the laptop via Ethernet cable internet works normally. I tried reinstalling the adapter and driver, but nothing happens, the problem is still here.

Nov 12, 2014I own an HP Envy dv6 Notebook PC, MOdel No.2CE243OCYT. It has an Atheros AR9485 802.11 b:g:n WiFi adapter. There is an HP update for that adapter, but when I updated it, I was unable to connect to the internet. I realize that this WiFi adapter is only for 2.5G. I had to refresh my laptop, then I had internet access again. I have not tried that driver update again, but TWC just updated my Cable modem to dual band using the 2.5G and 5G bands.I am afraid to install the Atheros update in my lapotop again because I don't want to go though the hassle of re-installing all my software pd[rograms again.Is there a dual band WiFi adapter that HP recommends, and is it easy to install?

Jul 4, 2014I just installed a Windows 7 64 Bit (Professional) onto my HP Pavilion DV6-7014nr, and now it is unable to detect any networks. I checked device manager and there is not even a tab for network adapters and the only message I see on diagnostics is "Install a driver for your network adapter. Windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter. If you have a network adapter, you will need to re-install the driver." Where do I find the specific driver I need and how do I get it onto my laptop without being able to use the internet on it? Also, I noticed under "Other devices" in the device manager that almost everything under it has the yellow triangle mark next to it, like for the ethernet controller, network controller, PCI device, USB controller, etc.

Oct 2, 2012I have a problem, normally I press Fn and F5 to bring up the window to enable/disable Wireless Lan and Bluetooth. But it's suddenly stopped working and I cannot switch on my Wireless Lan.
This is on IdeaPad Y580 running Windows 7.
1. When I press Fn F5 no window opens.
2. When I press Fn F6 my track pad is enabled/disabled as normal, although I do not see the notification on screen.
3. When I press the Fn and volume or brightness controls, they work perfectly, but again I do not notification on screen, the bars showing level of volume or brightness.
4. Also the One Touch Recovery and One Key Theater buttons are not working. But the audio Mute button is working.
5. I have uninstalled the Lenovo Energy Management software and reinstalled it but no difference.
6. I have checked the BIOS and Wireless Lan is enabled.
7. I also saw that in Task Manager I cannot see utility.exe running.

I am unable to detect any bluetooth device in my laptop and my laptop's bluetooth also is not detecting in any other device (Say in my cell). When I tried install Broadcom bluetooth 4.0 driver software it showing error "No bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure that your bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to continue installation". In device manager everything is perfect, i mean no undetected hardware.
