I m having an HP pavilion G62016-TX with Windows7 ultimate with 64 bit version,Purchased on Nov'2012.
Recently my PC crashed and when it was reinstalled with all drivers from HP FTP i am having below problems.
When i am adjusting my brightness , it is getting adjusted but the adjusting bar usually shown in the screen is missing.
When i am adjusting my sound , it is getting adjusted but the adjusting bar usually shown in the screen is missing.
I've reinstalled Windows Vista on my E6400.
I can controll the screen brightness with the [FN] + [UP] / [DOWN] keys, but I can't see if it's up 50%, 80%, 100% etc. Before the reinstall I could se this on the display via some sort of Dell-tool.
Which driver/tool should I install from Dell to be able to see the percentage again?
I've just received a new Studio 1537 with the WXGA LED display and I can't seem to find the setting to auto adjust the LCD brightness in the Power Options. For that matter I can't even find the settings in the bios either

View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a new HP Pavilion G4-1310au. My problem is that it did not have any OS installed and so no system drivers were installed either. In the box I only got a CD that has HP manual in it and nothing else and the notebook of course, the power cord, bag, and some printed manual. I was expecting to see a System Disk CD so I could install the system drivers, but I didn't find one.
So I installed the OS and then installed the network driver which I downloaded from another computer and also the audio. My problem is that I cannot find a launcher that would control the brightness and contrast of the screen. I tried FN key plus F3 or F2 keys but it didn't work.
How I can control the brightness and contrast or better yet if there is a Launcher software where I can control all the features of this notebook? By the way, I don't know how to enable the bluetooth either.
My product number is HP 1000-1312TU Notebook PC.And my os is windows 7 ultimate 64x.Since i've changed my os from 8 to 7 i couldn't change brightness of my screen neither with keyboard keys nor with power options setting, i mean they don't work at all.I also searched all the drivers.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy lenovo G505 recently had to be reformated because there was a blue screen that came up one day that said there was problem with my PC and the error was critical_service_error, something like that. So my dad had to reinstall windows 8 for me using a cd he had that didn't come with the computer I don't believe. So now for some reason my screen brightness isn't adjusting and it's driving me crazy! It's staying on full brightness which I hate! I tried changing it from the personalization screen and nothing happens.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've noticed the screen on my Yoga 2 pro tries to automatically adjust the brightness of the display depending on how dark or light the content being displayed is... I want to figure out a way to make it stop. For example, my desktop background is just plain black, and when i got to my desktop, it starts to dim by 4-5 levels lower, and then when I go back to my browser, it reverses and starts to turn up the brightness by 4-5 levels. I've already tinkered with all the power settings and even the advanced power settings to turn of auto dim/automatically adjust brightness etc and all those settings but it still does it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy T440p slightly adjusts the screen brightness depending on what is being displayed. For example, on Chrome, one page might have more images, so the screen slightly adjusts brighter or darker. Another page it might slightly adjust again. And it does it when scrolling down a page as well. It is distracting, and I want to disable it? I'm on windows 7.

Does anyone know how to stop this?
and for hp users check out the attachment, it turns off your display. Its really useful.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased an Acer Switch 11. I noticed that I wasn't able to adjust the display contrast, using the left/right arrows and "FN" key. Through a chat session, an Acer technician recommended that I reinstall the Intel VGA Driver through Acer Recovery Management. I followed his instruction, and it worked. However, later I noticed that I could not longer adjust the contrast. I could see the indicator move up and down in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, but the contrast wouldn't changed. I once again reinstalled the Intel VGA Driver, and it corrected the problem.
After re-installing the driver a second time, I decided I would leave the tablet plugged into the keyboard. Every fifteen minutes or so, I would unplug the display to see if the contrast changed. Based on my settings, it did change as desired. I did this for several hours. Later, I decided to remove the display from the keyboard. Initially, I was still able to adjust the contrast. However, after 10 minutes or so, I no longer could make adjustments. At that point, I placed the display back into the keyboard dock. I tried to see if it being locked into the keyboard was required in order to make contrast changes. It still didn't work. I then reinstalled the Intel VGA Driver and corrected the problem. I have kept it plugged into the keyboard, and I can still make adjustments.
I just purchased a refurbished HP Pavilion. I cannot figure out how to turn off the auto brightness, which is an extremely irritating feature, which to me seems to have no purpose. I have turned it off under advanced power settings, nothing. I have looked in General PC settings but nothing(Windows 8.1) I have done all I can find to do.
View 3 Replies View RelatedA few days before I was going to shipping my Studio 15 off. I looked in the box and low and behold I found the Dell Webcam Center disk that I originally thought that Dell had forgotten to include.
Upon installation I found that the specific version of Dell WC that came with my Studio 15 is not the same one that you find at the downloads center on support.dell.com.
I could never get the downloaded Dell WC to work, even after numerous chats with technical support. No matter how many times I contacted Dell about this, they claimed there is only one version of Dell Webcam Center. Clearly that isn't true .....
