Jul 23, 2014I m having an HP pavilion G62016-TX with Windows7 ultimate with 64 bit version,Purchased on Nov'2012.
Recently my PC crashed and when it was reinstalled with all drivers from HP FTP i am having below problems.
When i am adjusting my brightness , it is getting adjusted but the adjusting bar usually shown in the screen is missing.
When i am adjusting my sound , it is getting adjusted but the adjusting bar usually shown in the screen is missing.

Jan 31, 2009I've reinstalled Windows Vista on my E6400.
I can controll the screen brightness with the [FN] + [UP] / [DOWN] keys, but I can't see if it's up 50%, 80%, 100% etc. Before the reinstall I could se this on the display via some sort of Dell-tool.
Which driver/tool should I install from Dell to be able to see the percentage again?

So now for some reason my screen brightness isn't adjusting and it's driving me crazy! It's staying on full brightness which I hate! Nov 9, 2013I've noticed the screen on my Yoga 2 pro tries to automatically adjust the brightness of the display depending on how dark or light the content being displayed is... I want to figure out a way to make it stop. For example, my desktop background is just plain black, and when i got to my desktop, it starts to dim by 4-5 levels lower, and then when I go back to my browser, it reverses and starts to turn up the brightness by 4-5 levels. I've already tinkered with all the power settings and even the advanced power settings to turn of auto dim/automatically adjust brightness etc and all those settings but it still does it.

Sep 25, 2013This auto brightness problem is been bothering me for a long time now, and i can't find any fix for it at all. The display goes:
- Bright when having on screen a white web page, document, picture
- and it display dims down when having on screen a dark web page/ document or picture
Note 1: I changed the settings and Turn off Auto Brightness in windows 8 advanced power plan settings .
Note 2: I tried to go disable the AMD Vari-Bright but the windows 8 AMD catalyse control center, but it doesn't have that option to turn in off .
Note 3: I did disable the Sensor Monitoring Service in services.msc menu .. but still didn't do the trick :/
Note 4: I did disabled Intel Display Power saving Technology in intel's graphic and media Control Panel and .. with all this, still, the auto brightness problem isn't solved :/
Now .. what to do, with all this attempts and still can't get rid of it, i start losing hope i can use my laptop without the screen changing brightness on its own, watching a movie and browsing the web with the screen flickers to adapter to the background....

May 29, 2010I am not able any longer to change the brigntness of the display via the known keys if the light sensor is deactivated.
If the light sensor is activated I can adjust the brightness but I do not like the sensor.
I can change the brightness without the sensor when I am in the BIOS and during windows is booting.

Jan 20, 2009Everything had been fine until I did some updates, can't remember if this occurred after a video driver update or a BIOS update.
But now the display brightness maxes out at about half. When I hit Fn + up arrow, it starts off at about half and the little meter does go up (the sunshine puts on his shades), but the display brightness doesn't change at all.
