I've been listening to a bunch of podcasts on my laptop lately and realized that the right hand side speaker is MUCH louder than my than the left speaker, in fact if I lower the balance on the right speaker to 0% and left to 100% it's not half as loud as the right at 100%. Is this normal? If not is there a fix for this?
Also when typing, if I press the Caps lock key too fast the cursor disappears and my typing is interrupted anyone know is up with that?

The left side speaker (Only the left side) of my laptop is working intermetently. Sometimes it's working, sometimes not. When I tried to tap hard the laptop near the left speaker, sometimes it work but a crackling sound or not clear sound is coming. Should I replace the speaker or a wire inside is loose?
The right speaker in my notebook is louder then the left one is. The only way to compensate for the problem is to lower the "balance" in the sound properties for the right speaker (I have it all the way down to 70 if you can believe that!) Now my audio sounds even between the left and right speaker. I think it's ashame that seems to be the only fix for the problem. Not sure if this is a driver issue or a hardware issue.
NVidia installs audio drivers to the computer when installing the video drivers (which I still don't understand why...I thought NVidia was a graphics company?) Then I install the IDT drivers/software afterwards. HP has verified that this is correct so everything on my end is up to date...minus of course offical drivers for the 320M video card that everyone is still waiting on!

I have tried EVERYTHING. My computer does allow me to connect an ethernet cord to it and the router and use the internet that way. I know it's not the router because I use the internet on my iPhone and tablet. When I attempt to connect to internet it has a red X where the wireless icon used to be, now the icon looks like a computer screen instead the the little bars. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been using Lenovo g500 for about a year now but last week there was some problem with my laptop and I had to restore windows using Lenovo's restore button. The windows restores just fine and I was able to update to Windows 8.1 althought all my data in C drive got wiped. But now my laptop won't connect to any Bluetooth device. Whenever I go to PC settings, it just says "searching for bluetooth devide but it never detects my phone or any other bluetooth devide.
Also, since my data got wiped, I have to install the drivers for my printer again but this laptop won't even recognize the CD!! It won't recognize ANY CD.
And the Lenovo Veriface won't work either now.I've searched and searched for these issues. I re-installed bluetooth drivers and lenovo veriface but they still don't work. And the bluetooth drivers never got deleted from my laptop since they were installed in Drive D but they don't. laptop won't install my printers drivers.
I have recently purchased Dell Inspiron 15R 5521N laptop with Windows 8 Pro. When I try to connect my laptop to an Acer monitor with an HDMI cable, it gives me a no signal error. But when the same laptop is connected to a Philips monitor using the same cable, it works perfectly. As usual I thought that the monitor was the culprit, but when I connected another laptop to the Acer monitor using the same cable it worked without any errors. So where does the problem lie. The HDMI cable is OK, the laptop is also OK as also the Acer monitor?

I have typed in my security key, yet it is still saying that it cannot connect to that network. I have been on the phone with my ISP and they cannot see why it does not connect. I have had this laptop for a few months now but have never really had to use WiFi - now I need WiFi I find the laptop will not connect to my router, it also displays no WiFi networks. I have opened Device Manager/Network Adapters and the wireless adapter is apparently up to date and working correctly. The adapter is a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wi Fi Adapter. The laptop is just a few paces away from the router so should easily receive the signal, my Android shows the router signal strength at 100% with a speed of 150Mbps. Why the laptop will not connect to WiFi ....

Half the times I try to sign into my favourite sites with log-ins I type in my details ,pres enter, press NO for do I want simple pass to add to list and then nothing happens. If I press sign in again then simplepass pops up again and nothing happens until I restart my laptop then its usully OK again.
Can I safely just uninstall simplepass without creating future problems as I don't want to use it anyway.

My HP Envy m6 laptop cannot connect to our wifi connection and only connects using the cable connection, ethernet.
It was still fine when I downloaded windows 8.1 but all of a sudden displays limited/no connectivity. I tried everything I can including resetting tcp ip settings thru command prompt, finding other drivers till someone suggested me to put my laptop back to windows 8. Still didn't fix the problem. Now, my laptop does not access wifi nor detect any wireless connection whether our home wifi, or others.
My home network has always been: SSID broadcast off, WAP2 TKIP+AES, MAC filtering and limited DHCP numbers. Yesterday, I connected the 13.3" MBP to the network and initial manual connection was fine. However, if I turn off and turn on AirPort or restart the computer, it doesn't re-connect automatically. The only time it re-connects is when I enable SSID broadcast. Is this the only option for MBPs (i.e., no auto connection to hidden SSID networks)?

how to clean out the crumbs/particles that fall in the speaker grill on the studio xps 16? A vacuum does not seem to work.... its driving me insane. Great amazing laptop, but the speaker grills get very dirty and there seem to be no way to clean them.
