My ex has a brand new HP 15-g012dx that came with Windows 8, but has driver support for Win7 x64.She has all the driver files, but none will install; they lack Setup installers as far as I can tell. There is no Chipset driver, so PNP/autodetect will not function. So, how do I install these manually? Essentially, I've unzipped them one-at-a-time to a folder. She has Windows 7 Home x64.

I am having trouble with USB 2.0 devices not being recognized by the hardware. I have all the devices installed in device manager, but the computer will not detect USB 2.0 devices.
It will recognize USB 3.0 devices just fine when they are plugged into the USB 3.0 port, but neither of the USB 2.0 ports. USB 2.0 devices won't work in any port. I can't confirm USB 1.1 devices at this time.
CMOS setup is set to Legacy mode: Disable.
Is there an additional driver or configuration that I am missing, or is there another issue going on?

I have tried installing several WLAN drivers to try and get my wifi working but no good.
I have a problem with my wireless devices on my Hp envy 15 notebook k000nx - Windows 8.1. I have tried many ways to turn on the wireless network by reinstalling drivers from hp website and turn off the airplane mode.
Even when i use the troubleshooter it only sees the cable problem. But there is no sign of my wireless or the bluetooth they are just gone. And here is some picture for my problem ..

In device manager, I have NO yellow triangles with exclamation marks, when I search automatically for updates, windows says everything is up to date (see picture below) so everything seems fine and running. Bluetooth is on but after searching does not find devices (even if the phone is also on bluetooth).

It recently got upgraded to windows 8.1 without even giving me an option to cancel the upgrade. After the update the system has become a piece of crap. It restarts the desktop screen again and again. have a HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j005se laptop running in Windows 8.1 Sinle language. I already have a purchased Windows 7 Professional x64. I tried to downgrade my OS to Windows 7 Pro. I prefer in UEFI installation, so create a OS installation USB in UEFI mode in GPT partition and enabled legacy in BIOS. Then the installer is booting from the USB device and everything is going well till it reaches to the HDD partition window. I can't see my HDD on the installer window. I already have a HDD with 4 visible partition, C (OS), D (Data), E (Recovery) and 100 MB system in FAT 32. i want to format only my C, because D contains all my data backup. I tried to browse intel Storage driver, still it is not detecting my HDD.
I really want to switch back to Windows 7 Pro.
When I downgraded from win 8.1 to win 7 I noticed there were about 11 items with problems being displayed in Device Manager. These ranged form network and ethernet to PCI , USB and various others. NVIDIA indicated it could not load until the Intel stuff had loaded first. That wasn't in DM, it cropped up when I attempted to load some of the drivers manually.
I really don't want to guess at what's gone wrong here but could if have something to do with hardware set up for win 8 being used with win 7 drivers etc?
Just downgraded my new HP n213ca laptop to windows7. I have been able to locate most drivers, but the Ethernet, usb, and Bluetooth drivers are still missing.
