I have been using softwares like Connectify and MyPublicWifi for quite some time now for hotspots, but all of a sudden since yesterday I'm not able to connect to the hotspot from my Windows Phone 8.1 device. I tried connect an Android Phone that didn't work either. I kept recieving a notification saying "Wifi network did not respond. Try again later". It seems like its some problem from the laptop and not the devices trying to connect to it.I tried rebooting the laptop multiple times, uninstalling and reinstalling the hotspot softwares and even created a hotspot using CMD. Even after all this I keep recieving the same message of network not responding. I checked the network adapters for any hardware changes, the drivers showed that they were functioning properly. I'm trying to share the internet from Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller.

Aug 20, 2014I just bought "HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC p000su-j2t31ea", installed windows 8.1, downloaded drivers and it seems like it works perfectly but wifi.
When I tried to install this Broadcom WLAN driver [URL]... its loading like on the half way on its instalation and drops then a message appears and asks me if the program worked well.
Ive tried to install that driver under Safe Mode and it loaded the installation, but when it was installing some error came out saying that the installation cant continue, because update.cpp 1205 is not found or something.I also tried to find the driver from broadcom's site, but couldnt find it. And now i can use e-net only via cable.

Jan 9, 2015I am in the process of downgrading an HP 15-g013dx (J5T33UA) laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7. This is a quad-core AMD A8 APU system.
I am having trouble with USB 2.0 devices not being recognized by the hardware. I have all the devices installed in device manager, but the computer will not detect USB 2.0 devices.
It will recognize USB 3.0 devices just fine when they are plugged into the USB 3.0 port, but neither of the USB 2.0 ports. USB 2.0 devices won't work in any port. I can't confirm USB 1.1 devices at this time.
CMOS setup is set to Legacy mode: Disable.
Is there an additional driver or configuration that I am missing, or is there another issue going on?

Feb 9, 2012I have a HP Pavilion G6-2252sa Notebook running Windows 8 and I have just installed 8.1. All is OK, except the equalizer function in Dolby Advanced Audio V2 is no longer working. You can still move the equalizer sliders but the actual sound quality remains the same. It just sounds flat as if all sliders are permanently set at zero.

Nov 9, 2009I just finished doing a clean install with the help of velocity's clean install guide.
Everything is normal, but I have "unkown devices" in my device manager. Also, the touch sensitive volume control above my keyboard works, but the graphics that pop up on the screen while adjusting the volume are not there anymore.

I called HP support thinking they wouldn't care if I did a clean install. The rep was sort of a jerk. He told me I need to buy a $30 recovery disk from them. I told the rep all I needed to fix was 2 little things, which arn't worth $30 in the first place. I mentioned the HP drivers webpage and asked if he would point out which drivers I probably needed to download to fix my problems, but he wouldn't tell me. He kept giving me the run around.
I did create both a backup disc and a recovery set before I did a clean install.

Apr 13, 2014I replaced hard drive with SSD and installed windows 7 ultimate (X64) on my HP Pavilion G4 notebook. However, I am not able to install switchable graphics on my laptop now.
I have tried this
1. Installed HPSA and ran update and tuneup. It asked me to update "AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver" but it failed with multiple retries and after some time now it doesnt ask to do this update at all. Now everything is green in HPSA but I am still not able to switch the graphics
2. Tried to download from HP drivers page but it says "AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible harware/software on your computer"
3. Tried uninstalling the driver but windows updates the drivers automatically.
4. I also updated BIOS as suggested at [URL] ..... but still no luck......

Sep 10, 2014My laptop is HP Pavilion dv6-3055tx and has win 7 ultimate 64bit installed. From past few days, i noticed that three keys of my keyboard are not working whenever the wifi key is ON.
These keys are:
1-Delete
2-Left Arrow
3-Right arrow
When i turn off wifi key, it works normally. I don't know what the problem really is?

Apr 2, 2013My pavilion g6 laptop's wifi adapter hasn't been working correcty recently. my internet router and networks are running fine as they should be, but every time i reboot my laptop, it keeps saying that there is no connection and no other wifi netowrks, when there clearly is other networks because of my surrounding neighbours.
I have tried a system restore to resolve the problem, but it has no affect and my norton is affecting the system restore of disabling the antivirus.

I do'nt know what happened but out of no where my wifi adapter somehow stopped working. whenever I enable my wifi button, the bluetooth only works and the wifi icon that usually shows on the lower right of the Taskbar doesn't show. I also checked the Device manager>Network Adapters, the wifi adapter is not there. I also tried "Scan for hardware changes" but still there is no Wifi adapter showing up.
Right now I'm just connecting through ethernet for internet connection because my wifi is not working.

Oct 23, 2014I have the Pavilion G6 2342dx running Windows 8. Yesterday, I used HP's support assistant to perform a few recommended driver updates. Among the things updated was the Qualcomm Atheros Wifi device driver and the HP wireless button driver. Wifi device installed was 10...222, from 10....212.
After the update, my laptop is unable to detect any wifi networks. It just shows "No networks found." I also noticed that the wifi button light (on F12) is always white whether or not I activate flight mode or not. I get an on-screen message alright about airplane mode status changing. However, it does not appear to be actually turning on/off the wifi because from the sidebar, it looks like wifi is on but with the "No networks found" message persisting. Also, the wifi icon on the status bar remains grayed out with an red x on it.
I have tried disabling and enabling the adaptor with no success. I have tried downloading and reinstalling the driver (10...212) with no luck. I even tried disabling, uninstalling and reinstalling the device from device manager. System restore fails everytime I try it. Interestingly, the latest driver on HP support website is the 212, no mention of the 222 driver.

May 14, 2014I was happily connecting to my home wifi yesterday evening before my HP Pavilion g7 notebook updated to windows 8.1. Now I can only connect via ethernet cable.
I phoned Microsoft Support and was told that my wifi driver was out of date and that this needs to reinstalled. I have had a look at available downloads for network drivers but I am unsure how to establish which one I need.... there are 4 options.
Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, there was only one driver which needed update according to this. The Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. When I checked for updates here is said that it had updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.

I have had this laptop for a few months now but have never really had to use WiFi - now I need WiFi I find the laptop will not connect to my router, it also displays no WiFi networks. I have opened Device Manager/Network Adapters and the wireless adapter is apparently up to date and working correctly. The adapter is a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wi Fi Adapter. The laptop is just a few paces away from the router so should easily receive the signal, my Android shows the router signal strength at 100% with a speed of 150Mbps. Why the laptop will not connect to WiFi ....
