i tried both windows 7 &8 drivers but it didnot work.after restarting wifi is not working or when it has gone to sleep and after resuming from sleep wifi is not switching on.i installed hp wireless button service also,it shows only airplane mode on/off.so no use with that.so please update correct drivers of broadcom combo adapter(wifi+bluetooth).

View 6 Replies View RelatedThis problem started after updating my audio driver on my HP Pavilion dv6 7039tx laptop. I noticed that the volume has been muted and a message reads out no speakers or headphones have been connected. After using the windows troubleshooter the troubleshooter detects that "the hardware changes might not have been detected".
I have now already rollbacked the driver uninstalled it and reinstalled it multiple times rebooted my PC too but nothing seems to work. In the device manager it detects my IDT high definition codec devices. I strongly feel there is something wrong in the registry since this is not a hardware problem. Even in the HP Support troubleshooter it does not detect my audio devices. I dont know what to do I really dont want to restore my PC .....
The wifi orange light does not change to white light after upgrading to windows 8 OS from windows home premium. i am using pavilion dv6-7011tx laptop, my product no. is. View 5 Replies View RelatedMy pavilion g6 laptop's wifi adapter hasn't been working correcty recently. my internet router and networks are running fine as they should be, but every time i reboot my laptop, it keeps saying that there is no connection and no other wifi netowrks, when there clearly is other networks because of my surrounding neighbours.
I have tried a system restore to resolve the problem, but it has no affect and my norton is affecting the system restore of disabling the antivirus.

I'm using HP Pavilion Dv4 3106tx. I do'nt know what happened but out of no where my wifi adapter somehow stopped working. whenever I enable my wifi button, the bluetooth only works and the wifi icon that usually shows on the lower right of the Taskbar doesn't show. I also checked the Device manager>Network Adapters, the wifi adapter is not there. I also tried "Scan for hardware changes" but still there is no Wifi adapter showing up.
Right now I'm just connecting through ethernet for internet connection because my wifi is not working.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the Pavilion G6 2342dx running Windows 8. Yesterday, I used HP's support assistant to perform a few recommended driver updates. Among the things updated was the Qualcomm Atheros Wifi device driver and the HP wireless button driver. Wifi device installed was 10...222, from 10....212.
After the update, my laptop is unable to detect any wifi networks. It just shows "No networks found." I also noticed that the wifi button light (on F12) is always white whether or not I activate flight mode or not. I get an on-screen message alright about airplane mode status changing. However, it does not appear to be actually turning on/off the wifi because from the sidebar, it looks like wifi is on but with the "No networks found" message persisting. Also, the wifi icon on the status bar remains grayed out with an red x on it.
I have tried disabling and enabling the adaptor with no success. I have tried downloading and reinstalling the driver (10...212) with no luck. I even tried disabling, uninstalling and reinstalling the device from device manager. System restore fails everytime I try it. Interestingly, the latest driver on HP support website is the 212, no mention of the 222 driver.
There is no web page for support on Pavilion g6 2214so. How is this possible? Google can find the page.... if searching but HP displays as page cannot be found.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble with my wireless button, it remains red/orange despite touching it and restarting my laptop several times. My laptop is an HP Pavilion DV7=1135NR, it is originally installed with Windows Vista 64bit. However, i have it reformatted and change the OS to Windows7 Ultimate (32bit). And now i the wireless button wont turn blue. And also the wireless button located in the taskbar is no longer there.
Some additional background: The same problem (wireless wont turn blue) had been recurring before i had it reformatted but then i seek assistance then to HP customer assistant, and installed atheros. the problem had fixed for a while and the same problem would recur. However, i can turn it blue once i restart the laptop or when the "WLAN disabled" message would appear in the task bar and i would immediately touch the wireless button.
i tried downloading a driver from HP but still not working. right now i am connected via ethernet cable and its such an incovenience.
I upgraded to 8.1 a few weeks ago all was fine, but for the last few days I cannot see my home Wifi (which is fine all other devices see it) I can see an error message for my Net Adaptor but the drivers say they are up to date.

The Wi-Fi adapter Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 worked on windows 7, but fails on windows 8.1. Tried to find the driver on the broadcom but not found. Device Manager indicates only problem with a PCI device. Problems with the Wi-Fi adapter does not specify.
I was happily connecting to my home wifi yesterday evening before my HP Pavilion g7 notebook updated to windows 8.1. Now I can only connect via ethernet cable.
I phoned Microsoft Support and was told that my wifi driver was out of date and that this needs to reinstalled. I have had a look at available downloads for network drivers but I am unsure how to establish which one I need.... there are 4 options.
Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, there was only one driver which needed update according to this. The Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. When I checked for updates here is said that it had updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.

I have had this laptop for a few months now but have never really had to use WiFi - now I need WiFi I find the laptop will not connect to my router, it also displays no WiFi networks. I have opened Device Manager/Network Adapters and the wireless adapter is apparently up to date and working correctly. The adapter is a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wi Fi Adapter. The laptop is just a few paces away from the router so should easily receive the signal, my Android shows the router signal strength at 100% with a speed of 150Mbps. I have Lenovo G505 (59-380146) (APU Quad Core A10-5750 2.5 Ghz/ 6GB Ram) Windows 7 x64. Upgraded my HDD to SSD (Sandisk SDSSDHP256G FW:X2316RL).
System become rapid speed, windows boots in 8-10secs, HD tune transfer rate is between 357.3 and 409.6 MB/sec, simply everything just went perfect except Internet speed... With old HDD it used to be around 36-40Mbps, with SSD its now only around 11-13Mbps... My wireless card is Atheros AR956x. Drivers are up to date and downloaded from Lenovo support website. Tried old HDD - wifi works perfect.
I only write here because I tried everything...
