I updated my HP Pavilion g6-2293sa Notebook PC to Windows 8.1 advance release and the WiFi adaptor no longer connects to my router. The driver states all is working but no wifi is found; the PC crashes sometimes when running the trouble shooter.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI received my Win 7 DVD, did a fresh install and it detected my webcam. However my webcam no longer works in either skype or MSN.
Skype reports the error 'cannot capture video, camera may already be in use' MSN returns the error 'cannot connect to webcam. Close any programs that may be using your webcam and chose setup audio/video'
The only thing I can see 'blocking' these apps is the Dell Webcam Console. I can't see any way to uninstall just the console, I think it comes bundled with the default windows 7 driver. I can see the path is

I have changed the setting 'automatically launch webcam console when video is played' but still no joy. Tried uninstalling and installing old drivers but no luck either.
I have an HP Pavilion m6 running Windows 7 Home Premium.
My workplace installed a router a few months ago. It's a Cisco E2000. My laptop will not recognize the wireless signal from the router. It recognizes about 10 other wireless signals from other locations outside the office. My phone also recognizes the router and can connect to it no problem. I've installed all the updates for Windows 7 and for the HP laptop. I've also installed the latest driver for the wifi card in the laptop.
Why the laptop does not recognize the wifi?
I have an HP Pavilion g6-2293sa Notebook PC, which updated itself automatically last week and as a result the keybard stopped working completely.
I reset the PC to an earlier time point but this did not work. HP's support topics suggested uninstalling my keyboard river, which I did, and then downloading 'original drivers' - but this does not come up as an option on the download page. Likewise, there is no available update under the Driver - Keyboard, Mouse, and Input Devices link.
I bought a new laptop HP Pavilion g7.I got Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter but my problem is that I can only connect to 802.11 n network and I can not use 802.11 g wifi.When I trying to connect 802.11 g wifi it says limited can not download any webpage but I should use it with this Ralink 802.11 bgn adapter yes? I have already updated the Wifi adapter but didn't work I turned off every firewall and antivirus software and I have already writing by manually IP address ,subnet mask etc...I got window 8 software. what has windows 7 I can connect without any trouble to 802.11 g wifi! View 9 Replies View RelatedMy pavilion g6 laptop's wifi adapter hasn't been working correcty recently. my internet router and networks are running fine as they should be, but every time i reboot my laptop, it keeps saying that there is no connection and no other wifi netowrks, when there clearly is other networks because of my surrounding neighbours.
I have tried a system restore to resolve the problem, but it has no affect and my norton is affecting the system restore of disabling the antivirus.

I'm using HP Pavilion Dv4 3106tx. I do'nt know what happened but out of no where my wifi adapter somehow stopped working. whenever I enable my wifi button, the bluetooth only works and the wifi icon that usually shows on the lower right of the Taskbar doesn't show. I also checked the Device manager>Network Adapters, the wifi adapter is not there. I also tried "Scan for hardware changes" but still there is no Wifi adapter showing up.
Right now I'm just connecting through ethernet for internet connection because my wifi is not working.
I would like to replace a a single band wifi adapter with a dual Band wifi adapter card for an HP Pavilion DV7-6157cl product # LW465UA#ABA. Processor = AMD A6-3400M.
View 5 Replies View Relatedi am using HP PAVILION 15-E015TX. i reset my windows 8 OS recently because of some corruption of data. after resetting the OS everything is reinstalled to its original state. But the Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter is not detecting the wifi which is worked properly before resetting the OS. when i run the troubleshoot option under HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT it shows a red mark while resetting the adapter.

I've got a brand new Aspire E 15 that came with windows 8.1. When connected to the network by cable everything works fine. When I try to connect via wifi strange things start happening.
I can see my network. I try to connect and it asks me for the security key. Then it connects. About 1 minute later it says it can't find the network. Other devices that were happily working on that networks wifi suddenly loose connectivity as well (hard wired devices don't seem to be affected). I end up having to reboot the router so wifi works for the other devices.
I made sure the Atheros AR956 adapter has the latest driver - v10.0.0.285 and all windows and acer updates are installed.
why Dell keeps selling the inspiron 15r models having the faulty wireless-n 1030 card?

Everything else I own workes fine over wi-fi on my Netgear router (Android tablet and smartphone, HP Windows Vista laptop, etc.).
I took my G580 laptop to McDonald's this morning and it connects to their wi-fi easily.

no WiFi access through my Wind-stream 2 wire router. [router and modem combined] Other devices both Macbook and Dell laptop are still connecting through my router so I'm pretty sure it's in the DELL Inspiron. I can see networks in the "connect to a network" box but when I try to connect to them, it brings up a box that says unable to connect to network. Most of the time the wireless status icon shows 5 unlit bars with an orange dot over them. The only suggestion from trouble shooter is reset the router by turning it off and on. No go there. I've also reset router to factory defaults with no change.
I can connect with ethernet cable with no problem. I've tried the "flush.bat". My network adapter is- Intel® Wifi Link 5100 AGN - I've updated the driver it says it's working.I've run all of Dell's hardware diagnostics which found no hardware issues.
I bought my HP 15 a few days ago and since yesterday (after I restarted it) it can't find my network. Also, sometimes it finds all the surrounding networks, sometimes one or two, sometimes none of them, but it never shows mine.
All my other devices connect to the network just fine and also when I connect the laptop via Ethernet cable internet works normally. I tried reinstalling the adapter and driver, but nothing happens, the problem is still here.
I'm not quite sure why this no longer charges. (Acer Aspire 5610 series) I made sure that I wrapped it correctly (not wrapping around the battery)...are there any alternatives that I may use instead of purchasing brand new from acer itself? I previously purchased one from ebay that was pure garbage. The charge lasted for all of about 10 minutes and the mousepad was dysfunctional with the charger plugged in.

I have a windows 8.1 64 bit HP Pavilion G7 2270us. I have had nothing but trouble with the Bluetooth since the 8.1 update. I used to be able to reinstall the driver and get it working again, however lately nothing works. I have installed sp59632, 58515, 64041, 58944, and 64825 and none are working. My computer does not even show the option to turn the bluetooth on from the pc settings menu. So I went out and rought a brand new Net Gear router. Still not working. I called Net Gear and they think it's my wireless card?

The Wi-Fi adapter Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 worked on windows 7, but fails on windows 8.1. Tried to find the driver on the broadcom but not found. Device Manager indicates only problem with a PCI device. Problems with the Wi-Fi adapter does not specify.
I was happily connecting to my home wifi yesterday evening before my HP Pavilion g7 notebook updated to windows 8.1. Now I can only connect via ethernet cable.
I phoned Microsoft Support and was told that my wifi driver was out of date and that this needs to reinstalled. I have had a look at available downloads for network drivers but I am unsure how to establish which one I need.... there are 4 options.
Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, there was only one driver which needed update according to this. The Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. When I checked for updates here is said that it had updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have recently reformatted my HP 15-g029ca Notebook PC and installed Windows 7 64-Bit. However, it seems that I am missing some of the drivers as several functions of the laptop are not working (Wifi, USB etc.).
I have checked the device manager and all the items under the "Other Devices" have little "!" marks next to them (when i right-click and select properties, under "Device status" it says: "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)...".
