I have dell inspiron 3420 core i3 which comes with window 7 home basic 64x and I upgrade it to window 7 ultimate 64x.. but now i want to restore it to its original factory setting to home basic 64x... I searched it alot about restore to factory setting and apply all the suggestion but cant work. When I press F8 and select system repair after that select language then for log in it shows me two account one is mine one which i created and the other I don,t know where it comes from. So i select my administrator account but there when i click on restore to factory setting it shows a message that "system/window cant find recovery disk" like this type of message..

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Pavilion G6 1247sa A3S29EA#ABU laptop. I had a problem with it and downloaded Windows 7 sp1. All went well untill I attempted to connect to internet. There are some drivers missing. I have attempted to locate them but any that I thought were relevant have proved to be of no use (did not cure problem). There is a screen shot of device manager. There are no item id's with most of the hardware items with drivers missing as the ID's are not showing up. The only info. I have is the wifi board which is a Broadcom BCM 94313 HMGB (this info. taken from the back of the computer). The device called 'BCM20702A0' is the wifi (I presume) as it disappears and reappears from the device manager screen when wifi button (F12) is toggled. Under General for all the devices it states : The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28).

When I am trying to send a file using bluetooth, no bluetooth is detected though I switched on my phone's Bluetooth. My phone is also not detecting my PC.
I just installed a new OS and I cannot get on the Internet to download any drivers. Apparently the system does not see the Ethernet card.

I am having trouble with my wireless button, it remains red/orange despite touching it and restarting my laptop several times. My laptop is an HP Pavilion DV7=1135NR, it is originally installed with Windows Vista 64bit. However, i have it reformatted and change the OS to Windows7 Ultimate (32bit). And now i the wireless button wont turn blue. And also the wireless button located in the taskbar is no longer there.
Some additional background: The same problem (wireless wont turn blue) had been recurring before i had it reformatted but then i seek assistance then to HP customer assistant, and installed atheros. the problem had fixed for a while and the same problem would recur. However, i can turn it blue once i restart the laptop or when the "WLAN disabled" message would appear in the task bar and i would immediately touch the wireless button.
i tried downloading a driver from HP but still not working. right now i am connected via ethernet cable and its such an incovenience.
I have Windows 7 (64-bit) ultimate edition. I have downloaded and installed WLAN drivers from HP site. But the adapter still fails to detect any avaialbe wifi connection. It still shows the red-cross on Networks icon in tray. My wifi is WPA2

The WLAN adapter is in working condition as I was able to connect wifi in Ubuntu linux...
I tried with older version, the driver gets installed but with connection, no luck....
I'm not able to install Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver. During Installation a message pops up saying, "The setup failed to install one or more drivers." I downloaded the latest version of the above software but still didn't work. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.

recently purchased the HP 15 Notebook PC having Windows 8.1 OS. When I setup the laptop initially and was trying to configure the machine it detected my home WiFi...however i skipped the step as I didnt remember the password.
I configured it on Ethernet and it worked fine.
when I tried to setup the WiFi later, it doesnt show any WIFI networks. The Wifi light on my keypad is on indicating its active but no wfi network visible. I tied restarting the laptop and my Wifi router but it didn't work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI own an HP Envy dv6 Notebook PC, MOdel No.2CE243OCYT. It has an Atheros AR9485 802.11 b:g:n WiFi adapter. There is an HP update for that adapter, but when I updated it, I was unable to connect to the internet. I realize that this WiFi adapter is only for 2.5G. I had to refresh my laptop, then I had internet access again. I have not tried that driver update again, but TWC just updated my Cable modem to dual band using the 2.5G and 5G bands.I am afraid to install the Atheros update in my lapotop again because I don't want to go though the hassle of re-installing all my software pd[rograms again.Is there a dual band WiFi adapter that HP recommends, and is it easy to install?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have the HP G72 Notebook PC and it operates on the windows 7 home premium 64-bit operating system. I was once able to get on my internet without any issues. I changed my carrier to uverse and was still able to connect for a week or two and then one day my computer says that no internet connection is found. Other computers connect just fine except mine's. I made sure that the wireless key was engaged and it was.
I then tried to restore my computer to an earlier date in hopes that whatever happened would be reversed. The system wouldn't allow it and wouldn't complete the request. Now When trouble shooting i also get the following message. "an error occurred while loading the troubleshooter: An unexpected error has occurred. the troubleshooting wizard can't continue." The only thing that I remember doing before this problem occurred was changing from google internet surfing to explore. It work for a short time thereafter and then stopped.
A windows update did its thing, and now I no longer have drivers for my network controller. Running a HP Pavillion 15 Notebook. (As stated by dxdiag)

I have an HP G60 Notebook PC with Windows Vista Home Premium, it's about 4 years old. I recently got a new Cisco Linksys E1500 wireless router, which is connected to my home computer. My laptop shows that it is connected to the home network, but it will not connect to the internet. Other laptops in the house are able to connect to the network and the internet. Mine seems to be the only one not working. Why isn't it working? What do I need to do to fix it?
I've run network diagnostics. It says "A problem with you network router or broadband modem might be preventing an internet connection." I've unplugged both of these and tried again. It didn't work! I've also connected my laptop straight to the modem and it still didn't connect to the internet. I've tried resetting the network adapter. My IP settings are set to automatic.
My internet connection wasn't a problem before last week (when I got a new router).
I just bought a HP Notebook PC 15-g013dx at Best Buy. They assured me it was 5Ghz wireless WiFi compatible. But only the 2.4 from the router shows up as an available connection.
My wife's old iPad can access the 5Ghz. I'm a tech dummy so I don't know if I have to download a driver or something? Or do I need some kind of adapter?
Have an HP 2000-208CA Notebook that came with 64 bit, WIN7. This notebook is extremely slow. The processor and memory I believe is the biggest issue with this notebook. Have installed WIN7, 32 bit. Now can't find the correct wifi drivers for this notebook. Have downloaded all wifi drivers that were listed for WIN7, 32bit for an HP 2000-208CA notebook, but none of them work. Any alternative wifi drivers?
