May 29, 2014HP 630 notebook PC, Product number A6E92EA#ABV... WIFI button on f12 indicating itsoff and not working when i press on it. network controller and PCI on device manager all are no drive (code 28) and also Bluetooth.

Dec 11, 2014recently purchased the HP 15 Notebook PC having Windows 8.1 OS. When I setup the laptop initially and was trying to configure the machine it detected my home WiFi...however i skipped the step as I didnt remember the password.
I configured it on Ethernet and it worked fine.
when I tried to setup the WiFi later, it doesnt show any WIFI networks. The Wifi light on my keypad is on indicating its active but no wfi network visible. I tied restarting the laptop and my Wifi router but it didn't work.

HP Pavilion G6 Networking :: Keep Losing Internet Connection On Notebook PC
Mar 6, 2013As above I keep losing internet connection on HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC and often have to turn off to get it back. I have had the laptop for over a year now and have had this problem from day one. Often there are no connections to be seen at all. I can be on a site fine one minuete then the next it just freezes. Sometimes clicking dissconnect then reconnect will resolve the issue. But most of the time I have to switch off, leave it off for a few mins then reboot. This does not always work so I have to do it again.
As above, I have had this issue from day one. When I got it home there were no connections to be seen. I took it streight back to PC World they switched it on and connections were there. When I got home, switched on others were there but not my own. After switching off and on again mine was there. After that it was okay for a week or so then I started getting the problems I have now. My son sitting about three feet away from me on his lap top has no problems at all so I know it is the laptop and not my router. Also my wifes, my son's and my phone are on the internet through the router when this goes off. Now and then it will be okay for a couple of days but most of the time it goes off several times a day.

Jul 30, 2014I have an HP Pavilion 17 e049wm Notebook PC, model: E0J75UA.Long story short my laptop no longer gives me an option to connect to the internet through my wireless router. It only gives me the option to connect through an Ethernet cable. If I click on the networks icon it says No connections are available. If I go to the network and sharing center and try to set up a network, it will never detect my router. The wifi icon reminds orange, despite airplane mode being off. If I type wireless in the search bar in the start menu, one option is to change wifi settings. From there it only gives me the option to add VPN connection.(?)Another option is to change wireless device settings yet it doesn't detect any. I tried doing a system restore to a save point where the internet was working,'didn't work. I know it's not my router as all other devices, phones, tablets,ps3 and other computers are working just fine. I did try though resting the router.

HP Pavilion TS 11-e004au Networking :: Notebook Suddenly Can't Connect To WiFi
Nov 16, 2013I turned on my computer this morning after a Windows update and it wouldn't allow me to connect to my wifi. Initially it said that I was manually connected to an old network but I deleted that and tried to manually connect to my home network but no luck. I worked through all the trouble shooting options and checked to see if the driver was up to date (it was) - all without success. My computer allows me to connect an ethernet cord to it and the router and use the internet that way. I know it's not the router because I use the internet wi-fi with my iPad. Here are some specifics:

When I look at the Driver details it appears it is a 32system driver whereas I believe I am running a 64 bit operating system( but I might be misreading this as I don't know a lot about these things).

Dec 29, 2014My WiFi Network adapter is an "Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN". Occasionally I lose my internet connection for approx 30 - 60 seconds and then it comes back. The modem appears to be OK as the problem does not affect other computers on the same home network. When I try to update the driver from the device manager, it says the current driver is up to date. Is there another driver I should try?

Apr 14, 2011Just purchased a Pavilion dm4 notebook that came with the Validity Fingerpring scanner. As soon as I bought the laptop, I was quick to install Windows 7 Pro 64 bit as my work requires the extra features in Win 7 Pro. The stock OS that was pre-installed was Win 7 Home Prem.
So here is my issue, the fingerpring scanner wont work. I have the proper driver installed from hp's website (found here) and after rebooting, it still does not work. I have installed the hp Support application that scans my notebook for the latest drivers and found no updates needed. I have not tried rolling back the driver as the option is not available (only one driver was ever installed anyways) and I have also tried uninstalling the driver, rebooting, reinstalling the driver, rebooting, and it still will not work. I have also tried doing the same just previously mention but this time running the installation as an admin (right click, "run as administrator"). Still nothing.... I also tried navigating to the driver folder on C: and then runing the application as an admin, but still come up short handed....
Sometimes the light will come on like its working, but when I go to use it to enroll my fingerprint it just won't do anything.
Is there another piece of software besides the drvier that I need to install to get this work?

Jul 31, 2014Just yesterday, 7-31-14, my mother was downloading pictures onto my HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15 Notebook PC. When she finished, I wanted to watch a video on YouTube so I got on the computer, but on the lockscreen I couldn't swipe and so I had to click and when I got to my password place, there was no touch-screen keyboard that usually pops up there. And now I can't play some of my games and I lost some of the abilities that this awesome laptop brings me.My mother said the only button she pressed was the f5 button at the top of the keyborad. Is that the problem?

Mar 31, 2013I have had the HP Pavilion g6t-1b00 CTO Notebook PC for a year or two now. I've been having a couple of problems with internet connectivity and putting my computer on "sleep".
However, few days ago, my keyboard randomly started acting weirdly. When I would try to type certain letter/numbers, they would come out differently.
Ex. pressing the space bar would show up " ./M" instead
I tried restarting my computer many times and installed a BiOS update which fixed all of my issues except for my up and down arrow keys. As of now, they have no function; I can't scroll with them and they don't seem to be taking on the role of another key. I have tried using the keys on different programs. Using the touch pad to scroll works but I still can't use the up and down keys.
Is there anyway to get the up and down arrow keys to work again?
HP Pavilion Dm4 Networking :: Bluetooth Stopped Working?
Jan 9, 2015I have an HP Pavilion dm4-1150ea running Windows 7 64bit.
I bought a bluetooth audio receiver and it paired with the laptop and installed a driver. I was able to stream audio to the receiver but when I closed the laptop and later opened it, it stopped working.
I looked in device manager and the bloetooth radios were no longer there and there were no bluetooth devices under Network Adapters. They had been there previously.
I rebooted a few times and it still didn't work. I got it to work once and it coincided with putting the power lead in. However, it didn't work for long.
HP Wireless Assistant says that Bluetooth is disabled in Device Manager.
I tried downloading the latest bluetooth driver from the HP site but it won't install because bluetooth isn't running.
At some point I got a message saying that a USB device had failed. I can see a warning icon on an "Unknown Device" in the USB Controllers section of Device Manager.
I tried to do a system restore but that failed because it couldn't get access to a file.
how I can get blue tooth working again?

Jan 25, 2015 I will start out with my laptop's system information (and I am typing this on a cell phone)It is an HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC with product number - B3K21PA#ABG. Serial number is 2CE2201C96. I have a Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter according to my device manager. I have recently changed my ISP and the wireless router they have provided is the Linksys E1200 model.Now, on to the problem - after a prolonged internet use (skype call or playing internet games) my laptop just stops giving me access to the internet.
And I say it like that because the internet connection icon shows that I have network access and internet connection but none of my software or browsers are able to connect to the internet. I have tried updating the driver (both by checking driver updates and by downloading the drivers manually). I have also tried system restores and everything else I could think of, short of actually doing a factory reset on the entire thing. And I should also mention - although this issue has occurred several times now since I changed ISP (and yes, I called them about it too), this current time seems to be permanent since it has been hours and it is still not working.

Jun 29, 2014I got this Notebook a couple of months ago at The Source in Alberta Canada. Worked fine for a week or so and then the touch screen began to stop working intermittently. Once or twice it seemed that cleaning the (not dirty) screen worked but not anymore. It has just stopped working completely for the past month or so. I've tried glass cleaner on a napkin and on a microfiber cloth..all the way to the edges and nothing. I've run all the troubleshooters, driver updates...everything is up to date and working properly or so they say.
