I have Hp Pavilion 2000 notebook, on which when i am press f2,f3 for brightness increease or decrease, id does'nt do that. inface all other buttons are performing well, but when i press this, the brighness bar shows on the screen but newither it increases nor decreases.

My touchpad just randomly stopped working when I opened my laptop this morning. I'm using an external mouse right now but need to have access to the touchpad. I have already attempted the following:
Rebooting 5 times
Trying function keys
Toggling on/off: there is not light above the touch pad, and double tapping does not facilitate any change in the light or function of the touchpad
Reinstalling touchpad driver twice
Searching mouse properties: does not list touchpad as mouse device.
i have HP 2000 notebook and all of a sudden HDMI port stopped working. Factory restore and a chipset driver worked and it started working. my bad, i installed a graphics driver, that took me back to sqaure one. HDMI port on the laptop is not working. HDMI cable and TV HDMI port is all working.i ran HP support assistant and it shows all required updates are in place. though it worked in between, it should be an issue with the chipset driver.

Whenever a windows update runs, and my computer begins the restart process to finish the update, it will turn off, but will not turn back on automatically. The screen will go black, and the power light is still on, but nothing else will work on the computer unless you force shutdown the computer and then turn it back on. I've waited overnight to see if it would restart and it would not. I've updated all my drivers and run numerous virus and malware programs to make sure it wasn't a bug causing it, and now I'm stuck.

I bought new HP Pavilion 17-f001sm Notebook PC (Windows 8.1 x64), it worked perfectly for 3 days, and 4th day it crashed randomly while i was watching some video, from then it constantly crashes.
Sometimes its black or blue screen, sometimes it just freezes or restars itself, and once i got ''KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOTHANDLED'' message. Also my Dics usage was 80%-100% until i deleted McAfee.
All drivers are ''up to date'', have 2 coolers under it so it constantly low temperature, McAfee didn't registered any viruses, even tried to reboot it but it continued to crash.

My HP Pavillion Notebook 17-e110dx has stopped working for no discernible reason. When I turn it on it says F1 system information and automatically goes to the F1 screen where it displays the sys info. It says press ESC to exit but that does nothing. In fact, no keys do anything. I tried to get to other screens when booting but it won't let me do anything. The laptop is only a few months old and I still have the basic 1-year warranty. Who should I contact to have HP repair it?

Then, it'll finally get to the welcome screen, but before it loads my desktop, I'll get another lingering blank screen with a cursor. Honestly, I'm grateful that my computer is still starting up at all... But is there any way to fix the lingering blank screens? View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC, model 15-e055st, which I purchased two months ago with Windows 8 pre-installed. I susequently upgraded the operating system to Windows 8.1 and all seemed to work OK. I then used the HP Support Assistant to do some important updates, which included the BIOS and other software. Following the HP update the computer would not Shut Down or Sleep, but Restart worked OK. When I attempt to Shut Down or Sleep, the screen goes black but the power light and the wifi light on the keyboard remain on and the fan is still operating. The machine will not recover from this situation without me first doing a hard reset by keeping the power button pressed for about five seconds.
I trıed restoring the software to the condition prior to the HP update but the problem still existed. Two days ago I refreshed the computer, which rolled the operating system back from Windows 8.1 to Windows 8.0 but the Shut Down/Sleep problem is still there.
I have HP pavillion dv6, 3 years old. For last two days, my PC is really hot at 100C, or 90C at idle, all cores are 100% working. I have closed all applications but still no use. below are the images of processes running. I have no application running.
