HP/Compaq :: DV4-1030 Stops Responding Onlogo Screen

I don't have very good english but i try to explain the situatuion over here. Yesterday I wanted to install fresh windows to my notebook. I chose Windows Xp x64 edition. All went good until it wanted reboot after file coping. Now it wont boot up. Just stuck, no F keys working.
What i have tried to fix that issue.
Ram reseating(one by one, in different locations)
CMOS (clear bios)
If i remove the hard drive, notebooks works well with ubuntu live CD. But the hard drive is also OK, i checked that on another coputer. I made Hard Drive check test, it found nothing. I think something is messed up in Bios or smothing like that.

I've been having problems with this device since the day I bought it. The second day I owned it a bad pixel jumped onto the screen. After pushing it for some time physically on the surface of the screen it dissapears for another day or two.
But my biggest problem is taht sometimes touchpad simply stops responding to any gestures or mouse cursor keeps shaking on my screen. The only ting I can do is turn off the whole touchpad and wait for it to repair itself.
Also it happens that for no apparent reason my notebook behaves like as if I had been pressing CRTL button all the time, while I dont do it at all. Pressing S key alone makes it run into save options. Left clicking on the page makes it open in a new bookmark.

I am having a problem with my Vaio Z with a fresh install, relating to the automatic keyboard backlight and display backlight adjustment, and manual control of the display backlight adjustment with the Fn keys.
So from a fresh boot or reboot, automatic brightness control of both devices seems to work fine. The Fn key combos will also work correctly to control display backlight. And then seemingly at random, ambient light sensor control will freeze, and the function keys will no longer manually adjust brightness. It seems to happen regardless of which graphics setting I'm using, and it also happens even with both ambient light sensor functions turned off.
I've got all of the latest drivers and software from Sony's website installed (sans non-essentials,) so I'm not sure what could be going wrong. Both the power management and event services are running. Has anyone else had this issue, and perhaps had better luck in solving it?

I have noticed that my touch stops responding to touch when the ambient temperature goes above 22 degrees C. To be clear the laptop is not hot, the laptop is at room temperature. Nothing to do with the fan or laptop cooling. When the ambient temperature drops below 22 degrees C it start working again. Do I need to put it in for a repair?

i have been trying to get the drivers for the dv2, but having issues getting a few bits working, i got the lan drivers working then windows update has install most of the others but cannot get bluetooth working or the ati graphics card
does anyone have these working with xp yet?

My S210 continuously is loading thumbnails when I turn it on. Just started yesterday. How to reset it? It doesn't respond to any commands and only can shutdown or restart by going to task mgr.

why Dell keeps selling the inspiron 15r models having the faulty wireless-n 1030 card?
I've just opened the new laptop, havent installed any applications or changed any settings, only updated to the latest wifi drivers and IT just does not work.

I just received the HP HDX16T premium series. and downgrade to Windows XP sp3. Suddenly the keyboard stop responding. All keys are not working all at. It was working fine under the manufacture preloaded Windows Vista home. is there ENE CIR windows xp driver.

My keyboard and trackpad on my Compaq Presario CQ60 notebook are not responding and don't have any external devices to see whether this is an internal matter. Cannot restart in Safe Mode as keyboard does not respond, however it allows me to type in my password to access vista! I think I have just locked the computer, but don't know how to unlock it, various forums have specified reinstalling drivers etc. but I am unable to do this with no working keyboard and do not know how whether I have pressed a combination of keys which have caused this. I am not sure whether this is a Vista problem or a Compaq/HP problem.

I have screen flickering problem with my Acer Aspire 725 with windows 8 OS. Flickering stops when i remove the power supply. I could see the battery plugged and unplugged symbol in Windows 8 continuously. Whether i should replace my battery or power supply adaptor?

I have had my DV5T for round about a couple of months now and I have noticed that on random occasions the nvidia display driver nvlddmkm would stop responding.
Are there any solutions for this? Any opinions on why this is happening?
I am running the latest drivers on my 9200M GS and have Vista Home Premium for my OS.

I have a big problem with my dell studio 1457 latptop... It's starts smoothly, run through BIOS and stops with black screen and UNREGISTERED EXCEPTION HANDLER information. I can not boot from any device [checked cd, usb key, hd, even floppy drive](BIOS seeing HD and DVD drive, in boot menu [f12] I can see usb key and floppy too]It's checking all devices at the start, but looks like loosing ability to connect with any of them after whole BIOS sequence is done. Therefore I can't flash BIOS or will I have to replace B chip?

I have 1yr old Dv5T running on Win7 64-bit OS. It has 4GB RAM, 250GB hitachi HDD, Nvidia 512mb VGA, Core2Duo 2.53Ghz CPU. Recently it stopped working as it should.
While ago, I downloaded some torrent where it had viruses(however I cleaned them) and after that everything started If I remember everything as it is.
While watching youtube, it stopped running..no mouse movements, screen was still on the last frame, no control+alt+del or anything else..I had to force shutdown the notebook.
Then I started it again where I didn't show anything on the screen at all..No POST or rest - only black screen. After couple of tries later, I could open it again. I tried to run antivirus software and it suddenly stopped working again. Again couple of tries to run it... Weren't able to do something with that anymore.. I tried to check HDD using HDD enclosure on different PC. It passed bad sector test(found1, repaired1), I ran a virus test on it(found5,cleared,disinfected5), I tried manual chkdsk command and it passed it too... I defragmented it, and put it back.
But I faced the problem again...Since last time on notebook i scheduled a chkdsk, it doesn't let me open the PC anymore..Everytime it starts chkdsk and stops on the last procedure - everytime on different percentage.
I ran self-test on notebook.: RAM test passed, HDD quick test - stopped on this one again. I ran CPU stress test - after some iterations black screen was coming and again I had to force shutdown.

i have a pavilion 2400 which i had sent in a week ago because there was no video. i guess they changed the motherboard, but they fixed that issue.
however, ever since getting the laptop back, the battery doesn't fully charge. only goes up to 66%.

My laptop is the E1705, with ATI x1400 card. The graphics fan is not turning on, no matter how hot it gets.
I have used i8kfangui in the past with great success. However, no matter what I do (hardware sensor on/off, fan force to high, auto control, manual control), the GPU fan will not start up. If I set i8k to monitor, it correctly reports that the fan never turns on, even as it reaches 76C. If i8k tries to set the fan speed, it will report that the fan is running at ~2000 rpm, but the fan is in fact not moving.
I don't think the fan indices are wrong, because the CPU fan control works correctly, and I've tried all the other valid options.
Does anyone have any ideas or been in a similar situation?
I just got this notebook back from Dell, and they replaced the motherboard. My only thought is that they could have forgotten to connect the GPU fan to the power. If no other solution comes up, how can I convince the Dell guys to fix it? i8k isn't supported by Dell, and if I just tell them that it gets hot, I'm sure they're used to that complaint...
I'm pretty comfortable fixing computers, but I looked up how to access the graphics card and it seemed like an awful lot of steps, so I'd rather not do this myself unless there is a simple way to visually identify that the card is not plugged in, or something like that.

My 1555 with a T4200 Intel 2.0Ghz, 4 GB mem, intel video, Win 7 32 bit has developed an annoying delay in keyboard response and web site delay in both IE8 and Firefox.
I'm assuming its the onboard video which I am now stuck with since it can't be upgraded.

I recently replaced the fan on my VGN-SZ360P. It was hell, I had to remove everything just to get to it. After a few hours I was able to piece everything back together. Now my Speed switch doesn't work. I need the Speed switch to use the DVI port on my port replicator to out to my external monitor. Seems like it is stuck on Stamina mode. In order to use the DVI port I need to be in Speed mode and with the nVidia graphics card. I tried to uninstall and reinstall everything. Nothing seems to work. I contact Sony and the tech told me to do a system restore. That is going to wipe out my entire computer to factory default.

i got a macbook. Everything is fine with it, except when i try to use photobooth, ichat or any program that uses my camera. What happens is it will bounce as if it were to load, then there is just a question mark in front of the program. I have tried opening them up through spotlight, but still nothing is working. I have tried searching the forums and looked in my Everything Mac user guide.

I have an HP Pavilion dv7 -4053 and noticed this week when entering data into a works database that my right arrow and down arrow no longer respond, up and left work fine. checked drivers etc. Tab had not been responding but is now working.

Originally it's comes with vista, but I format it and installed win 7, after 8 months suddenlly I surprised that the webcam are stopped working, I tried to install from dell support but useless, what shall I do?
It can be work if i reinstall win vista again and by usb flash memory install all the drivers, it will work or not?
Is this problem because of some windows 7 updates? because they are not genuine copies?

I have an IdeaPad Y400 and just suddenly one of the USB Ports stopped responding. The hub shows up in device manager and if I connect a usb light it will receive power but I cant use it for anything else.
More Specifically it is the always-on yellow usb port on the right side of the device.
Just a few months ago I had issues with the onboard gpu and had the entire motherboard replaced (twice) for a few hundred dollars

v3460 just puchased 2 weeks ago.Dell support software stopped responding. I had run the program the first week, using the key button. program ran fine.
Yesterday tried it, program stopped working, the program is mysteriously gone. I have tried to reinstall from the dell downloads, It will not complete without an error.Tried system restore.No luck.No restore points available for 1st week of purchase.

I have a new Inspiron 5547 w/Windows 7, everything is working well except for the Touchpad. Initially the touchpad was working fine, then it stopped responding, only when I attached a USB mouse could I use the laptop. I re-installed drivers and the Touchpad worked correctly again. A few days later, the trackpad stopped working again....reinstalled drivers yet again and everything worked fine. Now for the 3rd time in 4 days the trackpad is not working. Is this a hardware or Windows 7 Issue?

Like my Subject. Radeon driver 6470m which i installed on my laptop is not just responding and my dedicated graphics is also not increased it's only 64 mb. When i tried to install nvidia driver thinking that it would be the supportive driver "hardware not supported" message appeared. What can i do to increase my dedicated graphics or my laptop doesn't have dedicated graphics.
My laptop is dell inspiron n5110 should i give my service tag number also ????

I have recently updated the BIOS on my E530 laptop to version 2.08 (the previously installed version was 1.xx, probably 1.37 as far as I remember, but am not sure about the exact version..). After the update the laptop keyboard and touchpad stopped working in Windows.
The keyboard does, however, work in the BIOS and both (keyboard and touchpad) work when the computer enters the Windows-startup-screen (where it suggests to fix hard drive errors etc.).
I am using Windows 8 all along and before I never had problems with my hardware. Now both the keyboard and touchpad are recognized in Window's Device manager, but are known to have troubles. There is also a PCI Device recognized in the category "Other devices", but it's missing any drivers (I wonder if there is a connection..). All those three are recognized as such by the Lenovo Solutions Center as well.
I have tried reinstalling the UltraNav drivers, but it wouldn't work. Also, I've tried finding any possible configuration regarding my problem in the BIOS, but was unsuccessful. If I attach an external mouse or keyboard, they work. I really don't know what else to do to get my laptop's keyboard & touchpad working!
The complete description of my laptop is: ThinkPad Edge E530 (3259-HLG), running Windows 8 (x64).
