My notebook PC model is HP V3808TU.
The HP V3808TU has a wireless network card.But when I try to connect the Nokia6300 mobile phone and my notebook via Bluetooth,they can't.
Note:Nokia6300 is built in Bluetooth.
Do I need to install other software on my notebook?
I have recently updated to 8.1 it has worked fine. Last night my computer did the HP installs and now I cannot connect to my WiFi but can hotspot my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have HP Envy 15-171nr notebook pc installed with Windows 8.1 pro. Since past 2 to 3 days I was not able to connect my mobile phone to the laptop through bluetooth. So I removed my phone from the paired device and again tried to pair it with my laptop, but I couldn't pair it. So I tried to reinstall the bluetooth driver from HP Recovery Manager. It was notified that the installation was successful but after that there is no bluetooth icon the PC Settings where I can switch on/off bluetooth. There is no bluetooth icon in the Device Manager as well.

View 10 Replies View RelatedMy HP Envy m6 laptop cannot connect to our wifi connection and only connects using the cable connection, ethernet.
It was still fine when I downloaded windows 8.1 but all of a sudden displays limited/no connectivity. I tried everything I can including resetting tcp ip settings thru command prompt, finding other drivers till someone suggested me to put my laptop back to windows 8. Still didn't fix the problem. Now, my laptop does not access wifi nor detect any wireless connection whether our home wifi, or others.
I'm having problems with my m1730 and I'd like to get a replacement, but of course the low-on-the-totem-pole service techs are telling me no according to their script. I need to escalate that problem but they won't put me through to their supervisors, nor will they give me any phone numbers.
View 10 Replies View RelatedI ordered a laptop from Dell on October 1st over the phone. Immediately after I placed the order, I looked it up on dell's website to make sure it had gone through.
The status said "In Production." So then I called the 800 number that gives you an automated message about your order status (yes, I'm anxious), and the recording said "Your order was received today and is currently being processed." So I thought that was weird that the website and phone service were telling me two different things.
So the next day I checked the website and it still said "In Production" and I called the number and it said my order was still "being processed." Also, on the website under Billing Information, it said "Bill to: N/A" and I was concerned that maybe my billing information was wrong.
Is it my imagination or did the order status line change sometime in the past 12 hours?

I can't connect using yoga phone companion. the app is open. i right click on it in the tray and hit set password and type one in but it won't let me click "OK". thats why i think my phone app won't connect to it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy home network has always been: SSID broadcast off, WAP2 TKIP+AES, MAC filtering and limited DHCP numbers. Yesterday, I connected the 13.3" MBP to the network and initial manual connection was fine. However, if I turn off and turn on AirPort or restart the computer, it doesn't re-connect automatically. The only time it re-connects is when I enable SSID broadcast. Is this the only option for MBPs (i.e., no auto connection to hidden SSID networks)?

Now my friend bought her dv4t and it came with a vga-out only. I know there is a HDMI port, but we are trying to connect to a SD-TV here and that doesnt support HDMI. I bought a vga-to-rca adapter in the past to use with IBM T60 notebook and it didnt work on that. Probably that notebook inherently didnt support tv-out from that vga port. Does HP notebook have the capability to do tv-out from vga port and if yes, what do I need to connect it to a standard definition tv set?

On my DV8000 I cannot get the Intel Wireless to connect to my router at home, which confuses me because my wife can connect to it just fine, except she's using a broadcom chip. My router at work is the exact same model and setup as the one I have at home and I have no problems connection to it.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a HP dv6-1133ea (in my sig). It has the broadcom wireless card. It is running windows 7 64 bit.
Just recently the wireless has started acting up. It can see my home network fine but just won't connect properly saying "no network connectivity" etc. I know that the network is fine as my partner's vaio (and incidentally my old Toshiba A30 that I am using to write this post) can connect fine.
I have tried re-installing the vista 64 driver from HP's website but that makes no difference. Turning the wireless on and off or restarting also doesn't change things. I have also tried re-adding the network key but that did nothing too.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas what to do?
W7 has always been a tad funny with wireless...

when I pair my phone (HTC Sensation) with my laptop I can only see the option to share files and transfer PIM objects. There is no option whatsoever to stream audio or to use my laptop as a headset. I had this option in my windows 7 acer laptop but that was using a Broadcom driver for Bluetooth..
Bluetooth not working on my new Inspiron 15 3521. System config - Windows 7 64bit.
I have updated driver from Dell support but still having same problem. It goes in searching mode and nothing further. Unable to detect the laptop from bluetooth device (phone).
My notebook has recently been losing internet connection very often. I don't have to move or anything, it just loses connection. I have a verizon fios router, i've had this notebook since September 08' and never had this problem before. My signal strength is full.
My device manager says my network adapters are:
-Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN
-RealTek RTL8168(C)P/8111(C)P Family PCI-E GBE NIC
Could it have something to do with my wireless mouse? If I switch it to wired mode, my laptop still loses connection to the internet.
Also, as a side question, how do i stop windows update from trying to install the same update over and over?

Have used this projector for 8 months, with no prob til recently.
When I connect the VGA plug into laptop, POW! off it goes. Totally shuts down.
When I connect with with laptop off, and try to boot up, NO GO! No matter if the projector is on, or off, the lap top is just rejecting the VGA cable being connected it its port.
I just bought my first laptop and it's a DV6-1253ca itz pretty sick. I have one problem though, when I try to connect to my home network, it says im connected but I can't go on the internet or sign into msn anything related to connecting to the internet i cant do. I disconnect and reconnect and it only sometimes work. This also happens when I close the lid~put the computer to sleep and i turn in bk on again, it connects to my home network by itself but still I can't go on the internet.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using HP Compaq 15 a00t2u, windows 7 ultimate 64 bit. I'm not able to connect to the internet via WiFi. Everytime I connect, it says,"no network access." There's a yellow triangle over the WiFi icon. Windows diagonsed it but failed to correct it. A message appears " Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP address. At times, it fixes the issue but within seconds, the problem again hops up.I am able to connect my mobile and other devices via same router. Also, when I switch on my mobile's Wifi Tethering, laptop connects to the network easily without any issue.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Compaq Presario CQ56 notebook computer. It was set up correctly when I bought it, everything worked perfectly. I somehow managed to get a virus which prevented me from even turning on my computer (Which is odd, because I'm not an idiot with computers, and I know what not to download/sites to visit), so I had to reset my computer back to stock, I used my Windows 7 disk, formatted the partitions and installed windows again.
Now, for some reason it won't connect wirelessly to the internet. It connects when I have an ethernet cable plugged in, but it won't find any networks, as shown in this screen shot:
I'm not sure what's causing it, but I guess it must be a driver issue?

It works fine when I have my laptop plugged into the internet, when I'm at uni, but when I come home on a weekend I can't bring my laptop back, because I only have WiFi back home.
