Dell :: Website Says One Thing, Phone Service Says Another

I ordered a laptop from Dell on October 1st over the phone. Immediately after I placed the order, I looked it up on dell's website to make sure it had gone through.
The status said "In Production." So then I called the 800 number that gives you an automated message about your order status (yes, I'm anxious), and the recording said "Your order was received today and is currently being processed." So I thought that was weird that the website and phone service were telling me two different things.
So the next day I checked the website and it still said "In Production" and I called the number and it said my order was still "being processed." Also, on the website under Billing Information, it said "Bill to: N/A" and I was concerned that maybe my billing information was wrong.
I called Dell just to ask a question about their product, and before I hang up, the representative told me when I was ready to order, to call her back and she can offer be the best deal.
Is that true, can she offer me a deal?
I want to customize the XPS16 to almost the most powerful configuration. What type of discounts can the dell representative offer me?
I can't get in contact via web/email to Dell as my service tag doesn't get recognised on the wesbite, and the auto detect doesn't work

Which one I need and whereabouts I need to check inside the laptop to see if I have the slot available? I am capable of doing this sort of stuff as I have built my own PC, just don't normally do anything to laptops (other than install an illuminated keyboard in this)
Will it work if I just add the module and install the driver?
I have a Latitude E6400 that's about 13 months old. I have 3 years of US warranty coverage.
My speaker grills have become pretty worn with the silver showing though in patches of about 1 cm^2. Is this something I can claim on the warranty and get replaced?
I got my CPU down to 38°C idle (it had the overheating problem before replacing thermal paste).
In Speedfan there's a a temp called "temp1" and it's the ACPI temperature, but what is it? Is it the chip that's between the radiator and the cpu that has a cooling pad?
i have a weird problem with my webcam , sometimes when i wanna use it , i open youcam it give me that it cant connect to the device so i need to close all applications that use this webcam while i have no softwares running so i have to restart in order to make it work one day i restarted and the same error occured again so i had to restart a second time :s also , to save threads i will ask here a question about my geforce 9600mgt performance it's good with games and i like it , though it was less than expected if u ask me when i play call of duty 5 and there's a scene where there's lots of smoke or fire from the fl;amethrower it the game becomes ridicously slow untill the smoke disappears and i will be able to play smoothly again anyway my question is not about this , i noticed that the performance of the card isn't always the same sometimes it works great and sometimes i notice that games barely run , even less demanding games like nba 2007 for example for example call of duty 4 , sometimes it works incredibly and some other times don't , isn't it weird ?
but when you try to add your configuration to the cart, it tells you that you have to call an agent to order. There is even an option for an RGB 1920x1200 LED screen!
But, at least they're FINALLY available ..................... guess I need to call and cancel my Studio 15 now
I've heard there are benefits such as prices/extras from calling your order in and just wondered some things people got. Also how do EPP/school discounts work over the phone.
I'm having problems with my m1730 and I'd like to get a replacement, but of course the low-on-the-totem-pole service techs are telling me no according to their script. I need to escalate that problem but they won't put me through to their supervisors, nor will they give me any phone numbers.
I just bought an Insprion 7520, and upgraded the windows os to ultimate. However after reading few reviews of this os, I wanted to switch back to Home Premium so that it would be like I bought it. However after installing Home Premium, some of the drivers that I downloaded from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website were unable to install. These problems have also lowered the laptops score in the Windows Performance Index. The GRAPHICS score went from 6.6 to 5.6 and RAM socre 7.9 to 7.7.

I recently bought a dell inspiron e1705 on ebay and I put a hard drive in it and installed the operating system and now I need software and I tried using my dell downloads and it says in internet explorer (an add-on for this website failed to run) and it won’t work.

when I pair my phone (HTC Sensation) with my laptop I can only see the option to share files and transfer PIM objects. There is no option whatsoever to stream audio or to use my laptop as a headset. I had this option in my windows 7 acer laptop but that was using a Broadcom driver for Bluetooth..

I have updated driver from Dell support but still having same problem. It goes in searching mode and nothing further. Unable to detect the laptop from bluetooth device (phone).
Every time I log in to a web site in IE, SimplePass pops up asking is I want to remember the password: Â I have the option to remember web site logins turned off: Â I could ignore it, but SimplePass is blocking IE from proceeding until I reply. Â I am running Windows 8.1 on a brand new Envy Touchsmart 15 15-j151nr laptop. Â I like using the fingerprint sensor to log in to windows, but I am going to have to disable SimplePass if I can't get this fixed.
I can't connect using yoga phone companion. the app is open. i right click on it in the tray and hit set password and type one in but it won't let me click "OK". thats why i think my phone app won't connect to it.
I've bought a probook 4540s recently. everything is fine and just I have a problem with its bluetooth. I can't send anything to my laptop via bluetooth. my phone is successfully added to my bluetooth devices & I can send files from laptop to my phone, but nothing happens when I try to send items from my phone to laptop. btw no error message is shown to me.Â
I have recently updated to 8.1 it has worked fine. Last night my computer did the HP installs and now I cannot connect to my WiFi but can hotspot my phone.
I downloaded pictures and videos from my samsung phone and when viewing the videos they are upside down and I can't rotate them while viewing and if I rotate before viewing they still wind up upside down....
I have HP Envy 15-171nr notebook pc installed with Windows 8.1 pro. Since past 2 to 3 days I was not able to connect my mobile phone to the laptop through bluetooth. So I removed my phone from the paired device and again tried to pair it with my laptop, but I couldn't pair it. So I tried to reinstall the bluetooth driver from HP Recovery Manager. It was notified that the installation was successful but after that there is no bluetooth icon the PC Settings where I can switch on/off bluetooth. There is no bluetooth icon in the Device Manager as well.Â
