Mar 20, 2009I'm having problems with my m1730 and I'd like to get a replacement, but of course the low-on-the-totem-pole service techs are telling me no according to their script. I need to escalate that problem but they won't put me through to their supervisors, nor will they give me any phone numbers.

Oct 3, 2009I ordered a laptop from Dell on October 1st over the phone. Immediately after I placed the order, I looked it up on dell's website to make sure it had gone through.
The status said "In Production." So then I called the 800 number that gives you an automated message about your order status (yes, I'm anxious), and the recording said "Your order was received today and is currently being processed." So I thought that was weird that the website and phone service were telling me two different things.
So the next day I checked the website and it still said "In Production" and I called the number and it said my order was still "being processed." Also, on the website under Billing Information, it said "Bill to: N/A" and I was concerned that maybe my billing information was wrong.

Note:Nokia6300 is built in Bluetooth.

when I pair my phone (HTC Sensation) with my laptop I can only see the option to share files and transfer PIM objects. There is no option whatsoever to stream audio or to use my laptop as a headset. I had this option in my windows 7 acer laptop but that was using a Broadcom driver for Bluetooth..

Dell :: Configuring An M6400 Online
Dec 30, 2008I am playing around with configuring a Dell Precision M6400 online and I'm confused about a couple of things. In the ad copy on the website it says that laptop can have up to 16GB of RAM, but when you try to configure the laptop on Dell's website it only shows up to 4GB. Also, I see no option for Vista 64-bit to take advantage of more RAM.
Do you have to call about these features, or am I just stupid and missing it on the website?
Also, I assume adding your own RAM is easy on these machines? Does it void the warranty? Because I assume the thing to do is buy it with the least amount of RAM and add your own aftermarket, correct?

Dec 9, 2009Until last week this lappy had the old 80Gb HD and Win XP Pro SP3. I play several online games (Silkroad Online, Battlefield Europe, Steam games) and they all played great.
After 4yrs it had some major issue last week that I couldn't recover from, so I picked up a WD Blue 250GB HD and had Win 7 Home Premuim (bought 4 copies for all the PC's here)
After much driver searching, everything works awesome on it except my games. The keep doing a Pause - Pause - Pause. I have been digging into everything, all sorts of video drivers, etc and nothing has helped. Wonder if its something with the Dell 1350 or Broadcom 440x controller. I've looked for the latest drivers from all over but nothing has helped. Surfing, Videos, Office 2007 all work great. It never crashes.
Any ideas? I tend to think its something in the network part of it. Note, my much older and less powerful desktop is running Win 7 RC and has no issues with games. (I race in several rFactor Leagues)
Also the network here is very solid, a Buffalo 54G and all the laptops connect great, and like I said - no issues gaming with Win XP before.

I had a chat with a agent today and asked, If he can give some discount on my online config ? He was ready to give discount of $50 on $1250 config and $75 on $1394 config ! Is it worth (means should I bargain more with him :-) ) and safe to place the order through the agent ?
Unfortunately till now there is no substantial discount offered from Dell for black Friday or holiday season
HP Envy 15-171nr Networking :: Not Able To Connect Mobile Phone To Notebook Through Bluetooth
Jul 17, 2014I have HP Envy 15-171nr notebook pc installed with Windows 8.1 pro. Since past 2 to 3 days I was not able to connect my mobile phone to the laptop through bluetooth. So I removed my phone from the paired device and again tried to pair it with my laptop, but I couldn't pair it. So I tried to reinstall the bluetooth driver from HP Recovery Manager. It was notified that the installation was successful but after that there is no bluetooth icon the PC Settings where I can switch on/off bluetooth. There is no bluetooth icon in the Device Manager as well.

I would have thought that this would be standard feature in a laptop that is touted as a business device, but apparently this is not the case.
I installed both the bluetooth driver and the latest system update, [URL]..... but it is still not working for me. I am now able to connect my cell phone to my X230, but instead of enabling me to access the internet via Bluetooth, a dialogue box appears enabling me to play songs that are on my cell phone using the laptop speakers.the bluetooth driver did not come pre-installed on the x230, and I am disappointed that I am not able to use my cell phone as a personal hotspot for my x230.

Feb 4, 2013My XPS L702x recently slows down when i play video online or play game. My configuration is: i7 2630QM, GT555M, 6 GB.i played video online and played game ( Skyrim, COD, A.V.A online) smoothly. But for 2, 3 months ago, my laptop slows down and spikes very much. When i watch video online, the screen will freeze 3 to 8 seconds but the sound is still playing. And all games that have run smoothly before, now they lagged too much, for example in Skyrim, when i start a conversation with a NPC, the game will freezes 2,3 seconds, and in the combat it freezes everytime when there's a sound is played (i.e screams, sound of sword slashing, footstep).
I have Microsoft Security Ess, no Semantec, Kaspersky, Norton ... And i have re-installed the Win 7 ultimate, but nothing is fixed, i've updated all my drivers, BIOS, Graphic card, sound card, wifi.i can't do anything with my laptop now, even opening Google Chrome is not easy. I'm really stressed.My battery is broken, i use my laptop on AC adapter only, perhaps this is the cause but i don't think so. Because i have a HP Pavillion and the battery is out too, but the HP is not slowing down.
