Dell Latitude E6540 :: USB Connect And Disconnect Randomly?
Jun 12, 2014I have a latitude E6540 and when I connect a external usb 3.0 disk it begins connect and disconnect randomly. I have tryed another disk and I have the same problem. This USB disk in other latitude E6540 works fine. I have disabled power option in the usb devices and reinstall drivers but nothing solved the problem.

Dec 27, 2014I have a Dell Inspiron 1764 about a month ago it started having internet problems. I have ruled out the problems being related to the actual internet service. I have excellent wifi signal and yet my laptop constantly connects and disconnects. The length of time varies. Some days I get to be on the net while others I dont at all. I have run diagnostics, downloaded darn near every update imaginable.

Sep 21, 2014I have a Pavilion G6 with Windows 7 OS that is used as a mobile data terminal. I am trying to use my Verizon iPhone 5c to connect to as a hotspot. All of my other HP laptops connect to this phone with no problem, but the G6 will not connect to the internet through the phone with cable, wifi or bluetooth. The G6 recognizes the phone and shows it in "unspecified devices". I have tried everything to get it to connect without success.

Dec 30, 2014I have been using Lenovo g500 for about a year now but last week there was some problem with my laptop and I had to restore windows using Lenovo's restore button. The windows restores just fine and I was able to update to Windows 8.1 althought all my data in C drive got wiped. But now my laptop won't connect to any Bluetooth device. Whenever I go to PC settings, it just says "searching for bluetooth devide but it never detects my phone or any other bluetooth devide.
Also, since my data got wiped, I have to install the drivers for my printer again but this laptop won't even recognize the CD!! It won't recognize ANY CD.
And the Lenovo Veriface won't work either now.I've searched and searched for these issues. I re-installed bluetooth drivers and lenovo veriface but they still don't work. And the bluetooth drivers never got deleted from my laptop since they were installed in Drive D but they don't. laptop won't install my printers drivers.

Sep 20, 2011im unable to connect my bluetooth headphones to my pc.
the headphones are Plantronics BackBeat 903.
i have no problem connecting them to other computers, or cellphones for that matter.
when installing the Bluetooth driver, it says it doesnt find any bluetooth device, even though the headphones do run on looking for a device (or whatever it's called), but the laptop does not see them at all.
again, i dont have this issue with other computers.
plus, ive tried to install the latest bluetooth driver available on lenovo's site, but i cant finish it (have to cancel, it doesnt finish it without locating the device).

Nov 13, 2009I have the DV9000 series Laptop. It is the DV9235NR model (but not the DV9200 series...shows DV9000 on the bottom).
Anyways...I decided to try to upgrade the interal wireless G with a wireless N card that is from HP. It has the HP part number and everything. When I put the card in, this error comes up. I read that the bios doesn't recongnize the card. I took the card out, booted up to Windows with my old wireless card, put the computer in sleep mode, took out the old card and put the new card in. Works perfect. I know the card it good.
How can I make the new card work without having to do this? I heard about a bios hack. How is this done? Could I modify the Wifi card also? I did update to the newest bios on my laptop (dated 2008) and that didn't work. How about a bios from another series laptop?

Apr 12, 2009Why is my MSN for mac always disconnect itself? At first I thought it was my dsl disconnected, then figured out nothing happened with the network connection, it was just MSN itself disconnected. What happened to it?
Also I noticed there is always some delay in typing display. Sometimes there is about half a second delay between I type in the word and the word displayed on the screen. My cousin noticed the same thing on her imac as well. Same thing happened to typing in iwork, and some other application. Does anyone noticed this? Or it is just me and my cousin have this delay problem?
Dell :: E6400 LAN Disconnect
Nov 19, 2009I'm having an issue with my E6400 running on Vista x86. Whenever I leave the computer for a period of time and the monitor turns off by itself, it seems like my network connection gets disconnected.
This only happens on Ethernet and never on wireless. After I come back to the computer, all my network applications are disconnected and I can see my network icon in the system tray flash from disconnect to connected again.
Is anyone else having the same issue and fixed it? I already checking all the power options in Vista and tried updating drivers from Intel and Dell.

Yesterday, I connected the 13.3" MBP to the network and initial manual connection was fine. However, if I turn off and turn on AirPort or restart the computer, it doesn't re-connect automatically. The only time it re-connects is when I enable SSID broadcast. Is this the only option for MBPs (i.e., no auto connection to hidden SSID networks)?

Have windows 8.1..I am using Wi-Fi, here's a screenshot of my drivers.I dont have this problem in another city, where I'm studying(I insert cable there for connection(campus network)).Also here at home, my brother has the exact same computer and w8.1 and he doesnt have any connection issues.
I dont have torrents, antivirus updates or any of that going on while playing.We have maybe 4 computers and probably 1-2 phones using the net aswell, but that doesn't seem to be the case, as I said these problems should have occurred with my brother's computer aswell? Also when these devices are not in the house, I still suffer from lagspikes.
Dell Latitude E5440 :: WiFi Disconnect After 20 Seconds - Hardware Switch Is Off
Jan 4, 2015Another on my growing list of unwelcome "features" of this machine...
Around 20 seconds after logging in after a full reboot my Wi-Fi connection is dropped (having already connected during the boot/login).
I'm using the Intel software to manage the Wi-Fi connection and it says it can't connect because the hardware switch is set to off. This is obviously untrue.
Only solution I've found is to manually flick the hardware switch to OFF and then back to ON, then it automatically connects.
Seems like a BIOS issue if it's suddenly turning the adapter off for no reason. I'm already on the latest A07. Problem does not occur when hibernating and resuming from hibernation.
I previously let Windows manage the Wi-Fi connection but it never automatically connected at all, hence the switch to the Intel utility.

I know there is a HDMI port, but we are trying to connect to a SD-TV here and that doesnt support HDMI. I bought a vga-to-rca adapter in the past to use with IBM T60 notebook and it didnt work on that. Probably that notebook inherently didnt support tv-out from that vga port. Mar 17, 2009always loose signal at home and sometimes Id just let my laptop stay off for a while and then it would catch the signal again. yesterday I had problems with conecting to the network. then I checked my ip address on the laptop and it was all zeros... today I tried to check it again, typed in ipconfig command to see the address but there's a message comes out which says that Media is disconnected... I tried to press this wifi button on the laptop but it wont light on. now the wireless network option isn't even in the Network connections folder... Sep 20, 2009I have a HP dv6-1133ea (in my sig). It has the broadcom wireless card. It is running windows 7 64 bit.
Just recently the wireless has started acting up. It can see my home network fine but just won't connect properly saying "no network connectivity" etc. I know that the network is fine as my partner's vaio (and incidentally my old Toshiba A30 that I am using to write this post) can connect fine.
I have tried re-installing the vista 64 driver from HP's website but that makes no difference. Turning the wireless on and off or restarting also doesn't change things. I have also tried re-adding the network key but that did nothing too.
Has anyone else had this problem or have any ideas what to do?
W7 has always been a tad funny with wireless...

Apr 4, 2009My notebook has recently been losing internet connection very often. I don't have to move or anything, it just loses connection. I have a verizon fios router, i've had this notebook since September 08' and never had this problem before. My signal strength is full.
My device manager says my network adapters are:
-Intel(R) WiFi Link 5100 AGN
-RealTek RTL8168(C)P/8111(C)P Family PCI-E GBE NIC
Could it have something to do with my wireless mouse? If I switch it to wired mode, my laptop still loses connection to the internet.
Also, as a side question, how do i stop windows update from trying to install the same update over and over?

Have used this projector for 8 months, with no prob til recently.
When I connect the VGA plug into laptop, POW! off it goes. Totally shuts down.
When I connect with with laptop off, and try to boot up, NO GO! No matter if the projector is on, or off, the lap top is just rejecting the VGA cable being connected it its port.
