My HP Pavilion notebook series G7-1135sd will not start. I get no response from the on switch. Some lights do come on but the screen does not light up. I have tried holding down the on switch for longer periods - without success. I have tried taking out the battery - also no success.
View 3 RepliesI'm having this extremely annoying problem with my HP Pavilion dv6-model1334us. Everytime I try to start up my laptop it always shows the menu screen saying Launch Start Up Repair or Start Windows Normally. I've tried to do a system restore multiple times, but the screen just stops on a blue screen. No it isn't the Blue Screen of Death, but it does attempt to start but fails and stands on the screen until it automatically or manually shuts down.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was about to do a factory restore on my computer later in the day, but i was unlucky that the computer stopped working When i turn it on it continuously beeps and won`t turn on, i have picked the option to `start windows normally` and even the option that checks/diagnoses the files (to fix the problem not letting me startup) but when it says `loading files` it starts beeping again and the process stops..
I also read that it `could` be a problem with the RAM, but maybe that was for a different problem or so, but if it is a problem with the RAM, then how can i fix it?
I bought this laptop of your company pavilion p077tx 3 weeks ago........... in the starting it worked fine but now every time when I switch it on it freezes after 5 mins, I have to use the power button to turn it off....... what should I do??

The screen is not black and I can still move the mouse but I can't press on any icons or do anything. I have tried to scan the computer for virus and run other test, but usually the computer freezes before it is done.

I'm having problems with my laptop (HP Pavilion dv4 1428dx) the last thing I did was put it to sleep, then cameback and tried to wake it up but it would not start up. All the lights are on, but the screen is black and the only thing I hear is the fan moving. The caps lock and num lock keys have a blinking light, not really sure what that means. The power LED is on, the battery LED is on, but the hard drive LED is not on.
View 9 Replies View Relatedive had my computer for years(warranty has expired) and it has worked very fine except it has been always very prone to overheat. A week ago it overheated(again), and after that it hasnt started anymore. I press the power button, i see caps light once or twice(yes indeed, when starting it might show once and then next time twice and so on..). startup goes like this: first there will come normally that screen where reads "press ESC to startup menu", hten screen goes black and it should open windows but it doesnt. Instead it makes an restart and does that all the time. Ive ran all diagnostics and those are just saying passed to everything. I have also tried "hard reset" but that has no effect. Also F11 in startup(system recovery) doesnt work.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had my Pavilion dv8 for a few months now. A month or two after I received it, I began experiencing problems with the slider treble/bass control. It would sporadically pop up and start changing the treble or bass at random intervals. It also randomly disconnected me from my wireless connection. I thought this might just have something to do with the slider being dirty, but after several attempts of cleaning it, it still remains a problem. At first it was just a little annoying, fixed by clicking the mouse or pressing the top internet button, but now it's REALLY annoying, even popping up as I write this post. Is "slider thing" the right term?

I upgraded my laptop from home basic 64 bit to ultimate 64-bit then I reinstalled the windows 7 ultimate 64-bit because i want a clean windows 7 ( first upgrade was from Windows Upgrade the second one from the internet ).I always clean my laptop from dust and it never get overheated because I use cooling pad with 3 fans. I gave my friend to check my laptop he works in pc's he said that my laptop looks like new and i don't have a fan problem he suggest to Re-Install windows 7 from HP ( that came with hp products ) or do i hard rest to my hardware. My warranty fishined a month ago, and I take care of my laptop very well. I know my laptop will not get any damaged because i use cooling pads.

Okay, so. I have an HP Pavilion g6-1145sg. It was working properly all morning, and then I put it to sleep temporarily (about ten to twenty minutes). When I went to turn it on, the screen was black and said something along the lines of "the system has detected that a cooling fan is not operating correctly. Continued operation would not be recommended at this time... may cause unpredictable behaviour that could result in random shut down, data loss or possible system damage."
Then after a few seconds it shuts off completely. There is an option to continue with system resume, and I clicked it once, but it didn't go all the way through to letting me use my laptop properly (I got to my desktop background and it shut down).
I have had it since last August, and it has worked somewhat alright through until today. Of course, the system lags occasionally, but nothing serious, mostly just aggravating.
The touchpad on my laptop (hp pavilion x2) is not working, the cursor is not visible. It works perfectly well when I plug in an external mouse, however when I unplug it the cursor will freeze and when I use the touchscreen it will disappear completely.

I put the Win xp pro in the cd rom and restarted the computer after I change the boot to boot from CD, and computer go to tart windows. i chnagedeverything and reset to defult and also diconnected the hard drive. nothing works. on F8 i also selected CD rom , and didn't work. this is a 3 years old computer that getting very slow and has too much junk on it from the kids and I want to format it. any ideas how i can go around this.
