i got my lenovo ideapad y510 p from 2 days i tried bluetooth once it was working but afther upgrade to win 8.1 i dont have the send or recieve option in the menu of the bluetooth icon i reinstalled the driver of the bluetooth i cannot send or recieve anything by bluetooth

On the other hand, when I try to send a picture from the laptop to mobile, I get Bluetooth device not found error.
However, my Bluetooth mouse is working perfectly fine.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have had my Y510 for 5 weeks. Last week I began getting a message that said:Failed to get data from camera.The camera may have been unplugged or busy whenever I starting my computer.
At the time no program was running that was using the webcam and I hadn't disable it. I uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it didn't fix the problem so, I downloaded and installed Veriface III. Now the webcam image is upside down and doesn't work in the VideoChat program that I used it in previously. My OS is Vista.
I just got a my brand new laptop from Lenovo but only the integrated graphics card is running and to make matter worse it crashes from time to time. The laptop has windows 7 installed.
Here's what happened:
Google sketch up test
1) install google sketch-up
2) run it for a while and then the screen goes white
3) error pops up stating that the integrated graphics has crashed
4) restarting sketchup is needed to continue
I tried the following to fix this:
1) reinstall the graphic card drivers from nvidia site
2) charge power management to max
3) set google sketch up to only use nvidia GPU (nvideo control panel)
Next I figured maybe it's sketchup with the problem so I downloaded a PC bench mark program - Maxon's Cinebench. this didn't work either
1) Does not see the nvidia card as an option to test
2) Setting it up to run only nvidia grpahics had no effect
3) I'm getting a crappy 17 frames per second - at least the ingrated graphics didn't crash this time..
I was updating some drivers yesterday and I accidentally uninstalled dobly home theater one way or another, and I have been searching the internet far and wide for a download but I could not come across one. When I go into the dolby tab it says I have dolby digital plus, and I can press the blue power button to turn it on, but I cannot select movie, game, or music as they are not there.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an Ideapad Y510 that has Vista and I'm having a problem connecting to the internet. I have other computers running in the house (this one I'm now typing on) so my internet is working correctly just not on my laptop. The laptop was working and connecting but something happened and now it says that I have limited access to the internet.
I read that it may not be getting an IP address assigned to it. I called my internet provider and they ran through their troubleshooting steps but figured it was in the computer. I don't know if the driver has been corrupted. I got the software CD that came with it and tried to load it again but it didn't work (not sure if I did it correctly).
I installed drivers for GeForce and Nvidia, but when i try to play e.g . Battelfield 4 then laptop use only one graphic card (GeForce 755). How could i turn on second card during the game ??

I've bought a probook 4540s recently. everything is fine and just I have a problem with its bluetooth. I can't send anything to my laptop via bluetooth. my phone is successfully added to my bluetooth devices & I can send files from laptop to my phone, but nothing happens when I try to send items from my phone to laptop. btw no error message is shown to me.

Its a y410p. I want to change my graphic to discrete graphic.
My IT dept made some changes to my W530 and now fastboot is not using SSD drive of (16G).I'm planning on using the "Restore" option found under My computer. If I select this option, I pressume all the factory default programs will install and wipe out the rest of the drive correct? If I do this will my fastboot be enabled once again?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm currently having problems with my Y510p's webcam. It stopped functioning recently.... But I've already performed a OneKey Recovery and it is still disabled. When I start the YouCam software they said that there was no webcam detected and if there was I have to turn on the integrated webcam. I have also checked in Device Manager and still.... No result. The webcam isn't appearing in my Imaging Devices option.

Its operating system is Windows XP Professional. I have tried to use the "Access IBM" and the "F11" buttons to see if I can find any Factory Restore option, but there is none.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Lenovo G480(Model 20156). My CPU is Intel Core i3 2370M. I have recently added another 1600 MHz RAM. But it is now showing 1333 MHz. I am using windows 8.1. Though I saw that some laptops can enable that by selecting XMP Profile on BIOS. But, my PCs Bios is not showing any option to select XMP profile or even any Advanced AI option.
My question is,
1. How can I resolve this problem and get my 1600 MHz RAM work fully?
2. How can I enable the XMP profile to get the full advantage of my 1600 MHz RAM?
Just received my laptop today. I am playing around with it, but I have found a glaring and obnoxious problem. If I can't get this fix I will have to return it.
I have the option of "Do Nothing" on when lid is closed. However, I found out that the laptop will just randomly open files/programs/apps. I have the laptop sitting on my table. There isn't any rocking or nudging. Is this due to poor planning on this laptop? The laptop isn't even a touch screen so what is going on?
I've recently reset my laptop to factory default using the Windows 8 Reset option, and now when I want to access the UEFI settings I get a onekey recovery prompt instead. Is there any way to bypass it because I just transfered my files back and I don't want to reset everything again.

These laptops came with Windows 7 and we used the Lenovo media to install Windows 8. The ability to change the password was present right after the Windows 8 install but when we upgrade to Windows 8.1 from the Microsoft store we can no longer change the password.

I have a Thinkpad Twist and after updating the Lenovo Settings Dependency Package to 1.3.0.24, I no longer have the 'Automatically optimize for battery life' option in the Lenovo Settings app, i.e., the battery is always fully charged.
I would like to use the battery optimization option, how do I get this function back?
I got a thinkpad w530 with Windowd 8 from the factory and its ultrabay worked really well. I use a few SSDs in the ultrabay and used to swap through them by just ejecting the one currently in use and plugging in another one. However, since Wondows 8.1 update I haven.t been able to do so, as I have to turn off the machine and change the drives.
I believe it has something to do with the OS set up. How to enable the hot swapping capability of the ultrabay?
W540 20BG001CGE, had BIOS 1.05 and RAID 1 with two Samsung 840 EVO 1TB working fine under Windows 7 - x64. Did a (by lenovo update tool recommended) BIOS Update with the bios update manager to 2.05. Update ran fine. After Rebooting (and loading defaults, disabling Intel Rapid Start, Changing BIOS boot option to legacy first ... I recognized SATA Option (AHCI or RAID) in BIOS is gone. At boot Intel Matrix Storage Configuration doesnot appear anymore (where you can build RAID etc).
Boot then brings up message "missing operating system".
Downgrade to BIOS 1.05 impossible, due to ISO File on www.lenovo.com support is not system compatible, message "Lenovo Group Limited - Invalid system disk; Replace te disk, and then press any key")
(The link to the ISO File version 1.05 at the bottom of this page links a non bootable ISO image [URL]....)
Also the downgrade to BIOS version 1.08 found here [URL] .... does not work, CD also messages "Lenovo Group Limited - Invalid system disk - Replace ...").
Rewriting BIOS version 2.05 (GNET57WW) does not work (says "BIOS update not necessary").

Got a factory replacement dongle, tried installing the Broadcom software several times (from disk and a link), most recently today (1-2-14). I tried the 0pbl08ww.exe fix but without success: message was "no appropriate driver to be installed." My phone detects the speaker device I want to use (Creative 100), so that's not the problem.
