I am ABLE TO SEND FROM LAPTOP VIA BLUETOOTH BUT UNABLE TO RECEIVE FILES ON LAPTOP FROM OTHER BT DEVICES. I have tried with several devices. tell me how to receive files?

NOTE: I HAVE ENABLED BLUETOOTH ON BOTH DEVICES,PAIRED THEM, AT FIRST FOR 1 MINUTE LAPTOP SAYING ITS CONNECTED, THEN ITS SHOWING NOT CONNECTED. ANYWAY WHENEVER I M FROM THE BLUETOOTH NOTATION ON TASKBAR CLICKING ON RECEIVE FILE AND SENDING FILE FROM PHONE ITS NOT RECEIVING. -_-

I HAVE TRIED WITH---Â SONY XPERIA SP , NOKIA ASHA 311, SAMSUNG GURU E1410. ONLY ASHA 311 WORKED I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT AFTER PAIRING IT CREATED A DRIVE ON LAPTOP NAMED AS NOKIA 311. SO TO SUM IT UP I THINK ITS A LAPTOP PROBLEM, N A SOLUTION IS NEEDED.

I've bought a probook 4540s recently. everything is fine and just I have a problem with its bluetooth. I can't send anything to my laptop via bluetooth. my phone is successfully added to my bluetooth devices & I can send files from laptop to my phone, but nothing happens when I try to send items from my phone to laptop. btw no error message is shown to me.Â

I tried to beam a file(less than 50kb) from my handphone. I aligned the phone's IR port and the DV7's IR port(just beside the microphone jack).. But I get no response from the DV7..
How to activate it?

I am getting Sending Failed error in mobile every time I try to send something to my Studio 15 from my Nokia N70.
On the other hand, when I try to send a picture from the laptop to mobile, I get Bluetooth device not found error.
However, my Bluetooth mouse is working perfectly fine.

i got my lenovo ideapad y510 p from 2 days i tried bluetooth once it was working but afther upgrade to win 8.1 i dont have the send or recieve option in the menu of the bluetooth icon i reinstalled the driver of the bluetooth i cannot send or recieve anything by bluetooth

my laptop model is pavilion g6 2320 tx.The factory installed OS was windows 8 64 bit version.later i updated my os to windows 8.1 64 bit version from windows store.After the updation i cant send any files over the blue tooth to any devices ,but i can receive files from other devices.
i tried reinstalling the driver but it didn't solved my problem.what should i do?

Most of the time when restarting laptop gets stuck at restarting. i have to pull out the battery and put it again n then on the laptop. sometimes the same goes for shutting down....the circle moves endlessly. And always restarting taking too much time almost 1---2 minutes.

After updateing from windows 8 to 8.1, my HP Split 13-m010dx x2 no longer has bluetooth. Even the option in the settings is gone. I installed the new drivers with no luck either. Is there a solution other than going back to windows 8?

Im using a dell inspiron 14r(5421); intel core15 3337u: intel Centrino 2230 wireless Bluetooth driver.
when I pair my phone (HTC Sensation) with my laptop I can only see the option to share files and transfer PIM objects. There is no option whatsoever to stream audio or to use my laptop as a headset. I had this option in my windows 7 acer laptop but that was using a Broadcom driver for Bluetooth..

here's the problems:
1. The damn CPU whining? I know everyone has it. Dell said last time I called that they're working on some way to fix it. The new A09 Bios didn't seem to do anything for me, or anyone else apparently according to dell's support forum. What's up with that?
2. My laptop wobbles on the top right and bottom left corners. it only wobbles if I use my 6cell batt, and it doesn't wobble w/ the 9 Cell. So does that mean the 6cell's rubber feet thing on the top right corner isn't high enough? Can dell fix that?
3. The "increase volume" media button thing isn't as responsive as the other ones. i have to press really hard to get it to respond. all the other ones i just tap it lightly, and it works.
Here's some questions that I know Dell has no clue what to do with:
4. I'm currently using Vista Ultimate on this only because I couldn't get my bluetooth driver and my sigmatel audio driver to work properly on XP. since dell hasn't released a xp bluetooth driver, i used WIDCOMM 5.1 stack, and the bluetooth headset and stereo headset drivers would disable the sigmatel drivers. really annoying. cmd51229 says he's gotten it to work:..........................

i've been enjoying my m1530 until i had an issue with the hard drive. i was working in a program when it suddenly restarts. it automatically runs a bios test and i get the error 2000-0141 stating a hard drive was not detected. upon a few restarts, the laptop eventually boots and it's been working fine since.
however, after putting a few facts together, i feel i didn't get a new/fresh laptop. here are some facts
hard drive issues
missing install discs and storage case
comptuer didn't arrive with plastic protection on aluminum casing
fine scratches are present on the black bezel that houses the media controls
missing other small items like the earpieces and cloth

My Bluetooth keyboard goes to sleep after a period of idle and it takes 15 seconds for the Acer Aspire 1810T to wake up and notice the Bluetooth keypresses.
However, I found out my Bluetooth keyboard works reliably when I have a second Bluetooth device connected and active at the time (such as either a headset or bluetooth tethering to a cellphone as modem), the computer doesn't have a 15 second lag in noticing the Bluetooth keyboard again - the keyboard works almost right away even after being unused for sometime.
So that means the culprit is in the power management on the Acer Bluetooth module. Is there a way to force the Bluetooth module to never go to sleep? Any checkbox somewhere, a register setting? Even going as far to purchase a different Bluetooth driver? Or any other option? Sometimes the sleep is useful, but it definitely isn't useful with the Bluetooth keyboard. This problem does not happen if I use an external Bluetooth dongle.
(With BatteryBar Pro, I notice that power consumption falls suddenly whenever the Bluetooth module goes to sleep when the keyboard goes idle for more than 30 seconds, and at this point, it has difficulty 'waking up' when I start typing on the Bluetooth keyboard. But the problem also still happens when the laptop is plugged in!)

I have finally tested the Acer Empowering Technology software on my Acer D150.
Great news, the software works to enable/disable the Bluetooth module on the netbook without physically pressing the button. This is great for people like me that do not have the button on top to push the button inside. There are two software needed for people to get this running on the D150. First is the required “Acer Empowering Framework” software and the second is the “Acer ePower Management.” Once both software are installed on the system, the setting to enable/disable the Bluetooth module is in the ePower Management.
Power profiles within windows will probably be reset to default, so those would have to be readjusted if a user changed them. I am actually running Windows Vista on my Acer D150 with the Acer Empowering Technology software for Vista. I am not 100% sure if the software will also work on XP, but from the notebookreview forums, I believe it should work just as fine (but more options on other Empowering Technology software).
(in XP, the driver also works, but need XP edition, not vista editon).
