I managed to install Windows 7 on it, but it doesn't recognise some hardware.

Luckily audio and video works as well as the touchpad and DVD-rom, but I don't have any of network adapters installed, nor USB, and I still cannot find any drivers for them.

It shows a dozen of pieces of hardware needed to be installed.
Most of the time when restarting laptop gets stuck at restarting. i have to pull out the battery and put it again n then on the laptop. sometimes the same goes for shutting down....the circle moves endlessly. And always restarting taking too much time almost 1---2 minutes.

I have downloaded the drivers listed in Drivers & Download section in HP.com but most of these drivers (Intel chipset driver, Graphics driver, Audio driver, etc.) do not work. While trying to install, most of them says that it does not meet minimum system requirements although all the system requirements mentioned in the requirements list are present.

I have Win7 64bit.
I replaced hard drive with SSD and installed windows 7 ultimate (X64) on my HP Pavilion G4 notebook. However, I am not able to install switchable graphics on my laptop now.

I have tried this
1. Installed HPSA and ran update and tuneup. It asked me to update "AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver" but it failed with multiple retries and after some time now it doesnt ask to do this update at all. Now everything is green in HPSA but I am still not able to switch the graphics
2. Tried to download from HP drivers page but it says "AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible harware/software on your computer"
3. Tried uninstalling the driver but windows updates the drivers automatically.
4. I also updated BIOS as suggested at [URL] ..... but still no luck......

Â This notebook has the AMD Turion 64-bit chip running at 1.8 mhz. Â I have 2 GB memory. Â Looking through the Win7 options, I decided to order Win7 32-bit, since I'm only carrying 2 GB of memory. Â Win 7 64-bit seems to be happier with 4 GB. Â While the Advisor shows I have some drivers that need updating after Window 7 is installed, I just noticed that the Realtex RTL8139/810x NIC needs a new driver for 32-bit Win7, but under 64-bit Win7, the NIC is compatible.

Should I have ordered the 64-bit Win7 ? Â Or should I look around for a new Realtek driver ? Â Realtex has a link to an old Vista driver that should work. Â Other searches suggest that a workable driver might be on the Win7 DVD.

I searched so much on google but can't find anything. I downloaded around 2-3 GB different drivers one by one to test but all wasted.

I have tried the following fixes with the following results:
1) run troubleshooter - audio services not running. Unable to start it; error states endpoint is duplicate
2) update drivers - no fix (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC -Â 6.10.6433.0)
3) Change System Sounds - fails to play test tone
4) Device Manager - shows the system is running
5) Restore - no fix
My HP notebook G7 was doing windows update on monday night it was on all night but in the morning when i checked it had an all blue screen that says HP and a circle that indicates it is loading but nothing else. it stayed like that all tuesday i am guessing it froze. i have tried restarting the computer with the power button but i get the same screen again. i have take out the battery also and the same thing happened.
