View 9 RepliesI recently wiped out my entire notebook drive and repartioned it. When I reinstalled windows, i could not locate the drivers for my device.
My Product number is C7E77PA#ABG
I am having a hard time with my PCI. I have tried to update it but it says no driver found ...
I am using HP Envy m6 Notebook.
the hardware id for PCI driver is

&DEV_5289&CC_FF0000PCIVEN_10EC&DEV_5289&CC_FF00
My Windows 8.1 Envy m6 is not playing sound through either the internal or external speakers.
I have tried the following fixes with the following results:
1) run troubleshooter - audio services not running. Unable to start it; error states endpoint is duplicate
2) update drivers - no fix (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC - 6.10.6433.0)
3) Change System Sounds - fails to play test tone
4) Device Manager - shows the system is running
5) Restore - no fix
I use an HP ENVY M6 notebook running Windows 8.1, 64 bit. I was seeing a lot of unwanted popups telling me I needed Java or other add ons which I don't. The computer is less than a month old. I went to that day's downloads and deleted everything I found from that day. Since then, I have no sound. I probably deleted something but I thought I was pretty careful. Can I download a sound card?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased HP 15-r078tu. I was not comfirtable with Windows 8.1 so I installed Windows 7 64 bit. And, I am looking for all drivers. I searched so much on google but can't find anything. I downloaded around 2-3 GB different drivers one by one to test but all wasted.
I got this link but it is showing error : [URL]
I have this HP envy 17 j000eb notebook with Windows 8 that I really would like to get rid of.
I managed to install Windows 7 on it, but it doesn't recognise some hardware.
Luckily audio and video works as well as the touchpad and DVD-rom, but I don't have any of network adapters installed, nor USB, and I still cannot find any drivers for them.
It shows a dozen of pieces of hardware needed to be installed.
Bluetooth doesn't work on my notebook. I have an Envy 15-j030eb which includes Bluetooth. I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro. Notebook product number is E4N79EA
In the device manager, I don't see Bluetooth, but there is one unknown device for which there is no driver installed, I assume this is the Bluetooth.
The HP Support Assistant couldn't locate the driver, so I tried to install the MediaTec/Ralink driver (as my WiFi adapter is from MediaTec/Ralink, I assumed the Bluetooth is from the same manufacturer). This is the driver I tried to install: [URL] ....
I tried to install the driver, the installer runs but ends without any confirmation that it was completed.

I have reinstalled my laptop with a fresh windows 8.1 install.
I have managed to install all the drivers and software except the quick launch buttons. I am unable to find the correct software.
I have the following Laptop: HP ENVY 17-j053ea Notebook PC
How I get the quick launch buttons working. I have run the HP support assistant software and it says nothing else needs updating ?
Im a ENVY 17-j092nr Notebook PC (windows 8.1) pc user with all drivers and OS updates working fine, nevertheless sometimes im getting an annoying error that makes windows vibrate like crazy, the problem is a little odd to explain, it makes the BAR on explorer.exe folder flick and other "content frames" from several software, on Firefox for instance the upper bar which is orange start flicking useless, or in vlc it flicks the same, and then the worst on the windows log screen, that makes my picture flicks fast from the left to the middle several times per second, making impossible to write any password and its especially annoying when simple pass stop working.
Thing that i tried:
-Changing mouse and installing video, display, mouse and other drivers besides updating them.
-Using Windows build and external software fix and repair utilities.
-Updating OS (Why? dk but i was trying alternatives).
-Disconnection electricity when this happens didn't work.
-Cleaning fan and avoiding any external particle on mouse laser.
After a harddrive crash, a replacement of the faulty drive, and a reinstallation I am looking for drivers for my Envy dv6 7254eo for windows 7 or 8. On a general level, because there are a lot of them missing.
I have been looking on the support site at hp.com but can't seem to even find my system. Finding the drivers page, or supply me with a detailed hardware specification with manufacturer and model number for the components so that I can find the drivers at the relevant manufacturer's site (i.e realtech, intel etc.)?
The thing is that my envy 17 1050ep, pn wp002ea#ab9 works fine with original operating system Win 7 home premium x64, but as i need to add it to a domain i´m trying to install win 7 pro/business or ultimate x64 but the hard disk is never detected when i attempt to install it.
Bios installed is the most recent from hp website. Inside bios is not present any option to change about sata driver it´s very limited.
Tried to download and install Intel® 5 Series Chipset and Intel® 3400 Series Chipset, doesn´t work issue persist.
With the original operating system installed Win 7 home premium, access sw setup, copy drivers folder, tried to install drivers, mainly the intel rapid storage, issue persist hard disk not detected.
Tested hard disk doesn´t have any error works fine with original operating system.
Tested a new hard drive, same issue.
Board chipset is intel hm 55.
HP Support drivers available on hp site don´t work.
HP Support just say unit is out of warranty and can´t provide support.
Intel support just say :
I understand the problem, however as I mentioned previously the main
I have an HP Envy M6-1150sa onto thich I have installed Windows 7 (comes with Windows 8).
I am having trouble getting the bluetooth device to hold a connection with any device at all. I can run the scan for devices, connect to the device but as soon as the wizard is closed the device disconnects and remains disaconnected (greyed out in Devices & Printers). This is the case with multiple devices and the same happens every time. The same devices will attach to any other bluetootch system without issue other than this system so I am assuming its software related.
the best driver to use for the below hardware IDs?
USBVID_8087&PID_07DA&REV_7869USBVID_8087&PID_07DA
I have downgraded this laptop to Windows 7 x64 (from Win8 x64), all was successful except the wifi drivers.
The driver installer supplied from HP just crashes and manually extracting and forcefully installing drivers results in a blue screen crash. I have also tried whom I beleive to be the chipset manufacturer, Ralink, for drivers but I get a "device could not start" error.
It should also be noted that I have a few other unknown devices which may be impeding progress but I could just be clutching at straws.
I have bought laptop Hp Envy Ts17 notebook pc , and ican't use the bluetooth ..

When I try and use the USB ports on my laptop, the system does not acknowledge the device is plugged in, nor allows the device to operate. There are no error messages and the safetly remove hardware icon does not appear. This problem began after I ran a couple of Windows Updates before shutting my computer down for the night.
The devices worked properly before but have since stopped. Multiple devices have been tried, but to no avail.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI own an HP Envy dv6 Notebook PC, MOdel No.2CE243OCYT. It has an Atheros AR9485 802.11 b:g:n WiFi adapter. There is an HP update for that adapter, but when I updated it, I was unable to connect to the internet. I realize that this WiFi adapter is only for 2.5G. I had to refresh my laptop, then I had internet access again. I have not tried that driver update again, but TWC just updated my Cable modem to dual band using the 2.5G and 5G bands.I am afraid to install the Atheros update in my lapotop again because I don't want to go though the hassle of re-installing all my software pd[rograms again. Is there a dual band WiFi adapter that HP recommends, and is it easy to install?

I have uninstalled/re-installed the driver, rebooted, and still no sound. When I right-click Speakers/HP, and Test - the pop-up says Device in Use. There are no legit applications using the device. I have been running Windows Defender since I used the official HP Recovery Discs I ordered. I have not visited questionable websites, yet, it looks like I have malware?
Year old i7 Envy Dv7-7398ca notebook with Samsung 840 Pro x 256 SSD. Windows 8.1. I updated to the SSD soon after I purchsed the notebook.
No issues except the Samsung Magician SSD software keeps flagging me that AHCI mode is disabled and needs to be enabled and I do not see it in BIOS. Nor do I see anything that relates to it in Device manager like IDE or whatever.
It appears the SSD is not optimizing itself based on the fact it thinks AHCI is disabled.
I have recently had my broadband upgraded to 5Ghz 100mbps however my HP ENVY m6-1310sa can't detect the 5G band. I just want to know if it has the right network card to do this, my laptop supports 802.11n which should be able to,yet still can't detect the 5ghz, whereas my phone and tablet can detect it.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my PC to windows 8.1 sometime back and had no issue with simplepass initially. I then suddenly could not swipe my finger and log in.
I am at a loss as to what to do because, I have depended on using this for lots of my web-sites etc. (keeping my password secure) but now I cannot use my finger print recognition to do so and have to type my master password each time.
I bought this computer for the ease of managing my security but HP has made me loose confidence in their products given the battle I am facing.
I am worried about installing any updated software as one solution suggests because I am not sure it will solve the problem without deleting my exiting password data files etc.
I have a problem with my HP Envy dv6 notbook. It can't find and connect to the wifi. But the other laptops in the house do. And when I can make connection its very weak and shut down continuous.
