I have an HP ENVY TOUCHSMART 17-J043CL NOTEBOOK PC. Product number: E9G82UA#ABA. Operating System: Windows 8 64-bit, x64 based processor.
I was doing some work on my laptop this morning and I was in the middle of working on something. Somehow the screen went blank. I tried to turn it on and it wouldn't let me. I tried holding the on button for 30 seconds, it still won't turn on. This laptop is not that old.
I just get to a screen showing the HP logo...the computer tries to self diagnose but never gets anywhere. Just stays locked. I've had this computer for almost a year with zero issue. Suddenly this.

I performed a hard reset, now when I press the power button the charging light next to the AC power input blinks 3 times (which according to HP customer support webpages indicates a problem with the RAM)...
SO...I opened her up and replaced both RAM modules with brand new ones, done another hard reset and IM STILL GETTING 3 BLINKING LIGHTS and no start u.
My laptop HP G60 won't turn on. I am assuming there is power to the laptop because the side light is on. I have removed the battery, thinking the battery might be dead and just plugged it in. It still doesn't work.

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy HP notebook G7 was doing windows update on monday night it was on all night but in the morning when i checked it had an all blue screen that says HP and a circle that indicates it is loading but nothing else. it stayed like that all tuesday i am guessing it froze. i have tried restarting the computer with the power button but i get the same screen again. i have take out the battery also and the same thing happened.

I performed a disk cleanup on the C Drive. Please note that the defrags I can perform are done by me and not by a schedule. The scheduler is not working either.
I have only one Antivirus software program on the notebook and I have recently removed many programs from launching at startup.
My Pavillion dv7-4183cl Notebook turns off on its own with no warning or error messages and then reboots asking for the power on passsord, etc. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium. The occurences are more and more frequent as time goes on.

Whenever a windows update runs, and my computer begins the restart process to finish the update, it will turn off, but will not turn back on automatically. The screen will go black, and the power light is still on, but nothing else will work on the computer unless you force shutdown the computer and then turn it back on. I've waited overnight to see if it would restart and it would not. I've updated all my drivers and run numerous virus and malware programs to make sure it wasn't a bug causing it, and now I'm stuck.

I have downloaded and installed all the latest drivers to date from HP website: [URL] ....
I have already read some forum posts and did some steps like:
1: install latest drivers for Ralink bluetooth device
2: Uninstall the Ralink bluetooth device
3: Disabled Ralink bluetooth device from device manager
But nothing worked for me.
The product name is HP 2000 notebook PC and the operating system is Windows 8. I had automatic updates installed and after the laptop restarted the login screen was frozen. I could type my pin code in but nothing happened after that. I tried ctrl+alt+del and other buttons but nothing happened. I kept restarting my computer but it still did the same thing.

Every time I boot it up, I see the Hp logo appear and then go away after a few seconds like usual but instead of seeing the Windows logo, theres just a blank black screen command prompt and nothing happens at all. I did a self hard drive test and memory test in bios and they both passed. I tried going into the system recovery option on startup and it does the same as when I start it up and go to that blank command prompt.

But yesterday it wouldnt start up anymore, i tried doing the hardware reset (remove battery and hold power button for 15/30secs) but that didnt work, then i started disassembling it but stopped when I found out I didn't have a fitting screwdriver. then pressed the power button again just to check, and the pc started. was a fluke though cause i tried rebooting and it didnt start again. My mozilla firefox is slow to open and is not connecting to any websites other than the homepage. It upgraded to the newest version when I first tried to open it and then it slowly opened up. Google chrome opens up quickly but then freezes when I try to go to another website. My computer runs windows 8.1 64 bit system. What could be causing the hangup and internet issues on my laptop? I was able to log in and browse the internet just fine last night, and these problems just started happening this afternoon.

I bought new HP Pavilion 17-f001sm Notebook PC (Windows 8.1 x64), it worked perfectly for 3 days, and 4th day it crashed randomly while i was watching some video, from then it constantly crashes.
Sometimes its black or blue screen, sometimes it just freezes or restars itself, and once i got ''KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOTHANDLED'' message. Also my Dics usage was 80%-100% until i deleted McAfee.
All drivers are ''up to date'', have 2 coolers under it so it constantly low temperature, McAfee didn't registered any viruses, even tried to reboot it but it continued to crash.
After putting the power on, nothing happen. It gives some kind of blue background. But it's not the critical error blue screen. It's some kind of windows-bitmap.
Using Esc and F2 I could do a System Test. The Short DST (don't know what that means...) says: FAILED.....
It gives details on the FAILURE ID : 64SP28-5HB7AC-XD003F-60VF03.... What should I do next?
The notebook is a HP, model DV6-3160SD, Running W7 on it. Don't know the bit-version (and can not check it).....

When I turn it on it says F1 system information and automatically goes to the F1 screen where it displays the sys info. It says press ESC to exit but that does nothing. In fact, no keys do anything.
