May 24, 2014I can't use the keyboard and the touchpad at the same time, using the keyboard disables the touchpad.

View 8 RepliesI recently bought a lenovo Flex 2 -14" one. The keyboard and touchpad together keeps getting disconnected at times. The backlight also keeps blinking when turned on. During that time, I am not able to receive any response via the touchpad and keyboard. It's like a loose connection. Keeps turning on and off!!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Lenovo Yoga 2 pro and installed windows 8.1 by itsef. During Windows 8.1 initial setup I was able to use keyboard to type in PC Name, but after that the keyboard and touch pad was not working/no any response any more. After Windows 8.1 lunched the keyboard also no any response. I have to use touch screen soft keyboard. But when laptop in BIOS mode (turn power off and press a small round button next to power button) the keyboard was working fine. So I think that the keyboard hardware is ok, but some thing iwas wrong with Windows 8.1 software issue. I also un-selected all on Easy of Access->Keyboard section in Windows 8.1.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that in a few applications, specifically Outlook 2013 and Visual Studio, using the two-finger slide on the touchpad causes it to zoom instead of scroll. In other places, like web browsing, the functionality works normally. A few weeks back I refreshed my system and for a short time the issue went away...but now it's back.
I'm running a Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro with the latest drivers from the support site.
When you lightly tap the touchpad to start moving the cursor, it makes a noise. It's almost as if its being depressed around one mm every time you touch it. Now, I'm not talking about intentionally pressing it down and hearing a click.
Just lightly putting your finger on the pad. Is the feeling of it depressing slightly and making a small noise normal?
Not sure if this is a defect on my machine but the backlit keyboard refuses to turn off. I tried the fn + spcbar and no luck. The light just blinks for a split second and stays on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've owned my Y2P for the last 3 or 4 months now. Keyboard backlight always turned off/on with Fn Spacebar just fine... until today. Fn+Space just gets the keyboard backlight to flash off for a second, and then back on.
Also I checked and all of the other Fn keys work. Also the Caps Lock light doesn't come on either.
And if that's not all, My power indicator light is amber even when fully charged. (solid, not blinking)
How to turn on the backlight on the yoga 2's keyboard?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing this problem especially with Internet Explorer 11. I've disabled the zoom feature inside the control panel of synaptics, but very often when I scroll with two fingers the webpage is zoomed.
The strange thing is that the zoom value inside IE doesn't change! In fact if I refresh the page, it comes back at its original zoom aspect.
I have a Yoga 2 11. It seems that all of a sudden that Lenovo Transition is not disabling the mouse and keyboard until the computer is in the full tablet mode. It used to disable these features in stand mode so when the computer is sitting on the keyboard, it's not pressing any keys. But it's not working anymore. I have uninstalled the program, re-downloaded the software from lenovo, installed it, and also checked for updates. I also tried both drivers for windows 8 and 8.1 ....

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I flip to tablet or stand mode (i even get the toast notification that it's switched), the touchpad doesn't disable. I am still able to move the pointer and click. The keyboard however is disabled. I have installed the bios update, energy manager thing, and latest firmware from Synpatics.

My Yoga 2 Pro has very often problems to activate the keyboard when I open the display.
This is what I do:
- working with the Yoga 2 Pro
- close all applications and after that I close the display
- after a while (can be a few minutes or several hours) I open the display
- it take a few seconds until the display is turned on (that's expected)
- in at least 50% the keyboard stays deactivated. The backlight can't be turned and the notebook does not notice any pressed key. I'm unable to log in :-(
- I need to close the display again, need to wait a few seconds - and when I open the display for a second time, the keyboard gets activated - not always, but most often. But sometime the keyboard stays disabled although I try the described procedure many time. If that happens I need to reboot the machine.
All drivers are updated.
So I love my Lenovo yoga until I upgraded to windows 8.1 then all of a sudden every time I signed into my computer via Microsoft account my keyboard and audio would be completely disabled I called Lenovo support they connected to my computer went through all of my settings and uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, nothing his last guess was to tell me to restore my computer.
So I did and as my laptop ramped up it asked to sign into a Microsoft account so I did (keep in mind this computer is fully functional after the restore everything works perfect) as soon as I hit the enter key the keyboard and audio become disabled fully disabled my, physical keyboard. Since the computer worked great right after the restore I also know that it is not a hardware issue as I have already sent it out to get all the sensors replaced its a software problem that revolves around my Microsoft account who do I talk to about this Lenovo? Or Microsoft? Lenovo just keeps telling me that I need to restore my computer completely ignoring the exact issues I am describing ,and as far as Microsoft account, this is not something I control I only own the account Microsoft manages it so why is my Microsoft account disabling my keyboard, again I stress I have done every single driver check there is I have uninstalled all of them and reinstalled.
I have looked through my settings as well as had a technician remotely control my computer to confirm that the computer is in perfect working order no settings out of place and then I restored all my settings to default and then restored the computer and everything works great until I enter my Microsoft account email and password then my keyboard becomes disabled instantaneously. And yes I was able to sign in using the keyboard
I got my new Yoga Pro 3 and it is looking and working great except from the two fingers tap which does not. This is a real bummer since I use it all the time on my mac and Asus devices.

On the screen I can still activate airplane mode though.
Yoga 11s a great computer but why should the two-finger tap to right click be unavailable? It's a commonly found gesture on Windows and Macs these days and that it's missing be default on my machine drives me crazy. Having to press down firmly to click in the bottom corner or having to click while pressing down two fingers is annoying. I've read some solutions involving drivers and registry edits but not sure what I want to undertake.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a new issue on my fresh Yoga11s, camera is not working anymore whereas camera seems OK in device manager.
No led is ON when I start camera application. I tried a factor reset without any success. It's like camera is software disabled but not sure.
First, I have two brand new Yoga 2 Pro's with Windows 8.1 (had them for two weeks) and I recently purchased the Actiontec ScreenBeam Pro and started working with it last night.
Second, *both* of the Yoga 2 Pro's are behaving in exactly the same way, and I'll describe that in a moment. Both systems are also update with the latest drivers. I have taken the time to compare all installed versions with the latest available from either Lenovo or Intel. All of the latest Windows updates have been applied.
Third, the firewall was disabled during one interation just to demonstrate that it was not the problem.
Now, here are the installation steps and the resulting problem:
The ScreenBeam is properly connected to an HDTV and is displaying it's initial screen
Swiping into Charms and making my way down to PC and devices -> Devices -> Add a device, results in the Screen Beam being discovered as a television, a PIN being displayed on the TV screen, and that PIN is then entered at the prompt from the "add device" dialog. The ScreenBeam also displays the fact that it was able to succesfully pair with the wireless adapter and displays a screen on the TV stating that it is waiting for a connection. I then access the Project menu through Charms->Devices->Project, but there is *NOT* a selection for projecting to the TV. Eventually, the ScreenBeam times out waiting for the connection and tells you to relauch the wireless display app. At this point, the ScreenBeam is present in the Devices and Printers window as SBWD DF9945-SBWD100A., but it is not active because there is no connection. So, therein lies the problem; I cannot project to the TV screen.
I have performed multiple iterations by deleting the device from Devices and Printers and performing the process again in a very systematic manner to make sure I did not miss anything, and the result is the same. I have performed the steps on two different, brand new systems with the same result. Just for grins, I went out to the Intel site and downloaded their latest WiDi Software, and it simply *wiil not* install on Windows 8.1; the installation terminates stating that the plaform is not supported, including calling out that the operating system is not supported.
From reading the other thread, I see that this same configuration has worked for multiple people. I checked the firmware level on my ScreenBeam, and it is the latest version of 1.1.9.0, so there is nothing further to do there.
Has there ben a definitive solution to the problem of the touch screen not working on the Yoga 13?
View 9 Replies View Relatedthe two buttons to control brightness worked fine before I uninstalled the default graphics driver. Now, when I press it I still get the GUI slider, but the brightness does not change. My brightness can be changed fine in the windows power settings. I have reinstalled the same thing I uninstalled, reinstalled Energy Manager, and still it does not work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedHaving a problem with two-finger tap to right click? Two-finger tap to right click was working fine for a while, but it suddenly stopped on my Yoga 13.
I reinstalled the touchpad drivers, and it worked for a few days, then it stopped again. Two-finger click still works fine. So does one-finger tap to left click.
I just got my lenovo yoga 3 pro, and started removing what I thought was bloatware, but I'm guessing I removed something important. Now, the keyboard/mousepad doesn't disable when I'm in tablet/stand/tent mode.

I'm thinking about driver issues with 8.1..
I can't get my Yoga to recognise any BT devices. I have driver version 1.3.639.3 dated 1/9/2012. I downloaded an update otwb33ww.exe version 3.757.754.082313 but when I install it, I get eventually get a dialog saying "Confirm that Bluetooth is enabled on your system. Plug in your device and click 'OK'. I switch on my BT headphones, click OK and get a message saying "Reeltek Bluetooth is not installed on your system". Then have to restart and end up back with the old drivers.
Just noticed I can connect to my iPhone but still not my Plantronics headphones...
First year, my Yoga's touchscreen was always working correctly, regardless of connected USB devices.
Since some time, if I connect a device into USB 2.0 port, touchscreen gets immediately disabled, no more responding to any touch. In Device Manager, it is not showing any errors. I found a workaround that in Device Manager (HID Devices branch), touchscreen must be set Disabled, then Enabled and then it comes back online. But I know this action was never needed before.
I think it began happening around the time when I started to use Yoga with barcode scanner Heron D-130. But the problem is now happening regadless of USB device, even with devices which were not impacting the touchscreen before. Perhaps not barcode scanner, but some Windows update caused this. Do you have any solution for this so touchscreen will keep working after another USB 2.0 device is connected?
The Airplane mode button has stopped working. Not sure when, but could be well after updating. Everything else works well.
