View 2 RepliesIt is strange that mus Fkeys work as supposed but the airplane mode key does not work anymore. Think it happened after upgrade to W8.1 u1
On the screen I can still activate airplane mode though.
I recently did a fresh install of windows 8 on my yoga and I've installed all the drivers on Lenovo's website. Most of the things are working except for the airplane mode button on the keyboard. Where I can find the driver for that?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am have recently bought a dell inspiron 15 7000 series laptop. Its only been a month that I have been using it. Everything was fine but my airplane mode button (the button beside F12 and PrtScr which are working fine) stopped working. Every other buttons on the button row is fully functional so I fear its not a keyboard matrix problem?
View 16 Replies View RelatedI have a Yoga 13 and have been avoiding the 8.1 update but was forced upon me yesterday. Media player stopped working but found the update on this site.
However all old videos now play fine but new ones taken today will not and just says 'Windows Media Player has stopped working'.
Whenever I play games like Hearthstone in regular laptop mode everything is fine. However every time I switch to tablet, tent or stand mode, after less than a minute of playing, I get the error “"display driver stopped responding and has recovered". I even updated my Y2P to the latest Intel graphics driver and it didn’t work. I think it’s something about the tablet mode that’s making the graphics card or processor not function fully.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI prefer the click approach on the Apple Macbook Air, where you can click anywhere on the trackpad to get a normal (left) click. On the Yoga 13, you can click anywhere EXCEPT the lower-right side of the button, where it instead registers a right-click. I have to be aware of where on the trackpad I can click and where I can't.
Any way to turn off the right-click area and just make the entire trackpad a left-click? I have already turned off the tap-click ability, so I'm just talking about clicks where you press the surface of the trackpad down.
how to turn off the notifications that pop up in the upper right corner telling you that you have just changed from one configuration to another -- e.g. changing from tent mode to tablet mode?

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I set my Yoga 13 to tablet mode and set the orientation to Portrait mode, it throttles the CPU to 0.78 ghz and no matter what I run, it won't bring the CPU back to normal. Once I flip it back to laptop mode, it's back to normal. There needs to be an option turn the throttling feature on or off at will.
The other night I was showing my neighbor this glorious laptop and while demonstrating the game Birzzle, once in portrait mode, the game started freezing up because the CPU couldn't keep up.
When I flip to tablet or stand mode (i even get the toast notification that it's switched), the touchpad doesn't disable. I am still able to move the pointer and click. The keyboard however is disabled. I have installed the bios update, energy manager thing, and latest firmware from Synpatics.

I just have a few questions about how conservation mode and express charging work. These two are located in Energy Manager under settings.
Conservation mode keeps the battery percent at 55-60%. How is this done? Does the computer discharge until 55% and then charge back up to 60%? Also, if the computer is off, but the AC adapter is left in, will the computer still remain between 55 and 60%? Are there any detrimental effects on the battery?
Express charging allows the computer to be fully charged in 100 minutes. How is this done? Why is this feature not enabled by default? Are there any detrimental effects on the battery?
I just got my lenovo yoga 3 pro, and started removing what I thought was bloatware, but I'm guessing I removed something important. Now, the keyboard/mousepad doesn't disable when I'm in tablet/stand/tent mode.
View 6 Replies View Relatedsometime in sleep mode my Yoga fall into irresponsive mode without any possibility to do anything. The power button is simply not working - pushing it for more than 30 second not change anything... Yoga red light is slowly blinking, the fn key is lighting, the fan is working, processor is heating and this follows to full drain battery.
Is any possibility to reset or reboot this "thermal brick" Yoga mode? Some computers and tablet have the hard reset button to work with such a situation - have Thinkpad Yoga similar solution (i.e. button combination invoking reset)?
I have a new Flex 14. When I turn it on, I frequently get the following message "The battery is charged to a high capacity. Staying above 70% of capacity for a long period of time is adverse to the battery health. Enable 'Conservation Mode' in Settings." I can not find "Conservation Mode" in "Settings." ?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Lenovo Yoga 2 pro and installed windows 8.1 by itsef. During Windows 8.1 initial setup I was able to use keyboard to type in PC Name, but after that the keyboard and touch pad was not working/no any response any more. After Windows 8.1 lunched the keyboard also no any response. I have to use touch screen soft keyboard. But when laptop in BIOS mode (turn power off and press a small round button next to power button) the keyboard was working fine. So I think that the keyboard hardware is ok, but some thing iwas wrong with Windows 8.1 software issue. I also un-selected all on Easy of Access->Keyboard section in Windows 8.1.

View 9 Replies View RelatedYoga 11s a great computer but why should the two-finger tap to right click be unavailable? It's a commonly found gesture on Windows and Macs these days and that it's missing be default on my machine drives me crazy. Having to press down firmly to click in the bottom corner or having to click while pressing down two fingers is annoying. I've read some solutions involving drivers and registry edits but not sure what I want to undertake.

First, I have two brand new Yoga 2 Pro's with Windows 8.1 (had them for two weeks) and I recently purchased the Actiontec ScreenBeam Pro and started working with it last night.
Second, *both* of the Yoga 2 Pro's are behaving in exactly the same way, and I'll describe that in a moment. Both systems are also update with the latest drivers. I have taken the time to compare all installed versions with the latest available from either Lenovo or Intel. All of the latest Windows updates have been applied.
Third, the firewall was disabled during one interation just to demonstrate that it was not the problem.
Now, here are the installation steps and the resulting problem:
The ScreenBeam is properly connected to an HDTV and is displaying it's initial screen
Swiping into Charms and making my way down to PC and devices -> Devices -> Add a device, results in the Screen Beam being discovered as a television, a PIN being displayed on the TV screen, and that PIN is then entered at the prompt from the "add device" dialog. The ScreenBeam also displays the fact that it was able to succesfully pair with the wireless adapter and displays a screen on the TV stating that it is waiting for a connection. I then access the Project menu through Charms->Devices->Project, but there is *NOT* a selection for projecting to the TV. Eventually, the ScreenBeam times out waiting for the connection and tells you to relauch the wireless display app. At this point, the ScreenBeam is present in the Devices and Printers window as SBWD DF9945-SBWD100A., but it is not active because there is no connection. So, therein lies the problem; I cannot project to the TV screen.
I have performed multiple iterations by deleting the device from Devices and Printers and performing the process again in a very systematic manner to make sure I did not miss anything, and the result is the same. I have performed the steps on two different, brand new systems with the same result. Just for grins, I went out to the Intel site and downloaded their latest WiDi Software, and it simply *wiil not* install on Windows 8.1; the installation terminates stating that the plaform is not supported, including calling out that the operating system is not supported.
From reading the other thread, I see that this same configuration has worked for multiple people. I checked the firmware level on my ScreenBeam, and it is the latest version of 1.1.9.0, so there is nothing further to do there.
Has there ben a definitive solution to the problem of the touch screen not working on the Yoga 13?
View 9 Replies View Relatedthe two buttons to control brightness worked fine before I uninstalled the default graphics driver. Now, when I press it I still get the GUI slider, but the brightness does not change. My brightness can be changed fine in the windows power settings. I have reinstalled the same thing I uninstalled, reinstalled Energy Manager, and still it does not work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHaving a problem with two-finger tap to right click? Two-finger tap to right click was working fine for a while, but it suddenly stopped on my Yoga 13.
I reinstalled the touchpad drivers, and it worked for a few days, then it stopped again. Two-finger click still works fine. So does one-finger tap to left click.
I have just installed the final version of Windows 8.1. The thing I've moserly been waiting for is Miracast.
As for now when I search for wireless displays (Add new device menu) it doesn't appear to find my TV. (An unpaired Android device can)
I'm thinking about driver issues with 8.1..
I can't get my Yoga to recognise any BT devices. I have driver version 1.3.639.3 dated 1/9/2012. I downloaded an update otwb33ww.exe version 3.757.754.082313 but when I install it, I get eventually get a dialog saying "Confirm that Bluetooth is enabled on your system. Plug in your device and click 'OK'. I switch on my BT headphones, click OK and get a message saying "Reeltek Bluetooth is not installed on your system". Then have to restart and end up back with the old drivers.
Just noticed I can connect to my iPhone but still not my Plantronics headphones...
First year, my Yoga's touchscreen was always working correctly, regardless of connected USB devices.
Since some time, if I connect a device into USB 2.0 port, touchscreen gets immediately disabled, no more responding to any touch. In Device Manager, it is not showing any errors. I found a workaround that in Device Manager (HID Devices branch), touchscreen must be set Disabled, then Enabled and then it comes back online. But I know this action was never needed before.
I think it began happening around the time when I started to use Yoga with barcode scanner Heron D-130. But the problem is now happening regadless of USB device, even with devices which were not impacting the touchscreen before. Perhaps not barcode scanner, but some Windows update caused this. Do you have any solution for this so touchscreen will keep working after another USB 2.0 device is connected?
