I just connect my VGN-Z591U to my XBR-1080P via 1.3 HDMI cable.I'm very disapointed about how the text look on the screen.It look very crappy,but orthewise picture and movie look perfect.When I chage setting to 720p the text look better but pictures and movies become worse.
View 4 RepliesHow to connect my Presario CQ61 Notebook to a Philips TV via HDMI under Windows 7. I checked the settings in the control pannel in Windows 7 and set them to multiple displays. Under the NVIDIA control panel I cloned the displays. Nothing happens, black screen on the TV with "no signal" message. The Notebook is recognizing the TV correctly by the way.
I already spent 2 hours on this. Tried various articles online, but nothing seems to work. The HDMI cable is OK. I successfully connected a Playstation console to the TV. Seems it's not a hardware issue, but something with the settings of my notebook.
Does the hdmi port on the HP ENVY dv6 connect to the graphics card or on board video?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI want to use my notebook to do a presentation in class. However, no matter which projector I connect to my Vaio SZ440, the display is unable to be shown on the projector.
I've tried Fn+F7, not working, tried stamina mode, not working, tried speed mode, not working. I've tried "Connect to a projector or other external display", not working. I've no idea what I should do. I really need to fix this or else I'll get screwed this semester. Every other notebook the projector connects to, it will automatically detect and show the display. Only mine is like this.
Please help. About 1 year ago I didn't experience any problem when connecting to a projector. I didn't remember what exactly I do to make it go bad. But I really need it to work this semester.
The display on my Acer 7750G siwtches off after 5 minutes or so, regardless of how I configure the power settings.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am unable to connect my XPS 1330 to a Dell 2408 monitor via HDMI. I am running Vista Business and the 1330 has the integrated Intel graphics chip. Connecting the two with a VGA connector seems to work, but not via HDMI.
Also anyone have experience with the "Display port" input on the Dell Monitor? What is that all about? is it basically HDMI without sound, or something like that? Why have that and still have the DVI inputs?

I can "extend" the desktop, but both screens are showing the same image, which isn't what I want. Can i set up two external monitors with this laptop using a splitter (this was what I was told would work when I purchased the unit along with the two monitors.) Previous laptops had HDMI and VGA ports allowing for two monitors. This laptop (as well as most newer ones) no longer have a VGA port.

I'm trying to connect my Pavilion dv6 to my HDTV using an HDMI cable. I'm getting video, but not audio from the TV speakers. The problem started after I upgraded from Vista to Windows 7. I had no problems with HDMI with windows Vista.
I've tried updating/reinstalling the audio drivers from HP's website, but it doesn't work. I've also tried going to the control panel and changing the playback device, but the HDMI audio device icon no longer appears in the playback devices dialogue box. The only playback devices are Speakers and Dual Headphones, Independent Dual Headphones, and SPDIF (Digital Out Via HP Dock.)

TV says no signal.
Have toggled through all of the options with the fn f5 and f6 keys and also the Windows button/P also.
My screen would go black on some options but still no signal on the TV.
Went in the Device Manager to see if the HDMI port is there with the USB's.
Could not find. Is this possible issue or something else?

I have recently purchased Dell Inspiron 15R 5521N laptop with Windows 8 Pro. When I try to connect my laptop to an Acer monitor with an HDMI cable, it gives me a no signal error. But when the same laptop is connected to a Philips monitor using the same cable, it works perfectly. As usual I thought that the monitor was the culprit, but when I connected another laptop to the Acer monitor using the same cable it worked without any errors. So where does the problem lie. The HDMI cable is OK, the laptop is also OK as also the Acer monitor?

Nothing on the Sony charger on wattage! I see a 19.5V Output and Input of 100-240V /1.5A and 50-60Hz
The converter/transformer has a high switch for appliances between 50 and 1650 watts and a low switch for equipment under 50 watts.
So if the Z690 charger is over 50W, I set the switch to High? I am just concerned that I will damage the laptop since the High goes up to 1650 watts?

G60 laptop is working fine with all the latest driver updates...all windows updates... running windows 7, except that when i plug in the hdmi ..... to my toshiba tv... or any other tv for that matter.... the image of the desktop will not display on the tv.... yes its all hooked up right..... but what does happen is that the display adapter recognizes the tv... it will show it { TOSHIBA TV } on the drop down menu...
When the cable is connected... you hear the default windows " yes im connected" sound & when removing the cable... the default "disconnect" sound is heard....

I am trying to connect a Dell external montitor via the VGA port with a VGA cable. The monitor has power but my notebook does not recognize/detect it. However, when I first plugged it in, my notebook display shrank into a square (vs the whole screen) so it recognized something...but nothing happened on the external monitor.
