Sony :: Most Of The Buttons Don't Work After I Open My New Z

after I put the parts back in, most of the keys on keyboard, touch pad, the sexy green light, the led light on the upper part don't work!
The graphic switch still work, the vaio, assist, special and disc reject button still work. Some of the keys still work like "w p s z '" and space bar
The left, right, down arrow work, up arrow doesn't work
Can't adjust the screen brightness even in the power option.
The fingerprint work.

I have a generally very nice install of Win7 Ultimate on a new SSD. But I can't control the screen backlighting or use the volume buttons. Other things I don't have that I could do without, but would be nice are the AV buttons. Not sure how well the stock Window power management is. I've tried loading a mess of the drivers from the TX850P/B Vista drivers page. There is a thread saying this the drivers work, but the drivers linked to in that thread to not match what is being discussed? Windows 7 Installation for Sony Vaio TX Series with ALL Sony Functions

I have been trying to resolve this problem for the past 5 hours and am having no luck. I have an Acer Aspire 4710Z laptop and the touchpad left and right buttons will not work.
To select anything I have to tap the pad,I've tried to re-install drivers but to no avail.

I have this laptop Dv7-1110eg.... Vista Ultimate 64bit
Just buy, the video card did not work ... was a hardware problem ... HP came to seek the ... did little more than 10 days ... HP has returned to me the laptop ... and now everything works perfectly, minus the touch volume controls... the play, stop, and other ... activating and deactivating the wireless network...
If turns the volume on the taskbar touch control changes color ... that works, but fingers (touching it) does not work ...
Deploying the volume bar in the taskbar and click on the volume control Touch ... volume bar is moved a few millimeters, but always returns to the same place
HP has changed my motherboard for the problem of video ... if I remember that before the touch controls worked lead to perfection ...
Just as I returned the touch controls not working ... trying to solve the problem .... I installed Vista Ultimate 64bit and I downloaded all the drivers here [url] I have installed all ... even update the bios ... touch controls do not work

i installed the newest drivers from hp (6.50.9.1), didn't help. uninstalled them, installed 6.50.7.1, didn't work.
that and i've been getting that system sound you get from plugging in or unplugging a USB-device, even though i'm not doing that (know what i'm referring to?)

I've just acquired this Lenovo G40-70, it came with Linux so I installed Windows 7 Professional 64bits and downloaded all the drivers from the support page for my computer, I've got everything working except for this three buttons: Brightness+/- , and the Airplane button.I've reinstalled all the drivers from your website, and also the last graphics software from intel ... nothing works ...

I cant open my hp pavilion dv6. I've set a password but I don't know why it doesn't work.. I've tried to click f11 and system recovery it shows restore your computer to the out of the box and choose between backup files first or recover without backing up your files before it proceed..what will i do..? I am afraid that ill lose all my files.

My apple had Mac and XP installed on it. My friend suggested me to install Windows 7 on it. And I thought it was a good idea. So I started my XP and runned it up. When win7 was completely installed everything seemed to work. Except that a few buttons on my keyboard don't work anymore now. The button for throwing out CD's and DVD's don't work anymore. And my 'Fn' button doesn't work anymore. Does anybody else have the same problem as me, or does someone know how to fix this. Because I also can't change the brightness. Which is set to maximum at the moment.

I just got a HDX 9200 last week and all this time I've been fiddling with tweaking the original HP image, installing clean Vista OSes (like twenty times by now), trying different drivers, running drivers-update scammers (like DriverDetective, RadarSync, etc.) just to look at the newest version number of the drivers, then crawling the web to manually find and try them, and so, and so on.
Of course, in the need of having a clean Windows Vista installation (since the HP image has a lot of crap, slowdowns, outdated drivers, not SP1 slipstreamed, etc.) I had to start from scratch.
After installing the clean Vista setup and all the drivers, I found that the QuickLaunch buttons were given me problems. What happened is, at the end, that everyone of them works BUT the TV button. I'm running on the QuickLaunch Buttons drivers 6.40, also QuickTouch installed for OSD, and QuickPlay 3.7 (updated from CyberLink) and still, when touching the TV button, nothing happens. Not even a click is hear like with the others. The strangest thing is that, if I turn the computer on by pressing the TV button instead of the power, it boots... and then it opens the TV module in the QuickPlay app.! Just as it should!................

I've found that these buttons don't work anymore. Previously they worked properly but last week I've found that any of them does not work.
When I press each of them there is no any action: no action, no dialog window, no backlighting, nothing. I don't know what is it.OS: Windows 7 x64 SP1 with the latest updates.Other info: during my using of this laptop I have not had any damage or falling.

My touchpad doesn't work but the buttons are working fine. It also clicks randomly (not with the left or right mouse buttons) so I have to disable it. I have installed the latest version of the Synaptic driver and the problem still persists. I think only the touchpad is having a problem because when I use a wireless mouse, it works fine.

I have owned my Dell M1330 notebook PC (specs in signature below) for over 4 years. Several weeks ago, the left and right-click touchpad buttons stopped working. The touchpad itself seems to be operating normally. I surmise I inadvertently deactivated the touchpad. I checked the manual, but it did not reveal how to reactivate (or deactivate) the touchpad buttons. How to reactivate the touchpad buttons, such as using the shortcut keys? I read one post in a PC forum of a similar situation; in that situation, the user's touchpad cable had come loose, but I understand this is a rare occurrence. On my new fw, task manager says that I have around 106 processes going at once. This number is huge! All i want to do on the laptop is surf the net, do microsoft office documents, watch films, listen to music on itunes that is basically it.
Do you know which processes I can safely close to reduce this number and increase the performance of the laptop, as that many processes is obviously going to slow it down.

i purchased laptop vaio vgn-c36mj and the original windows "x64"freezes and i had to format and i downloaded vista x32 and it worked fine but the problem is the touch buttoms aren't working
note:i downloaded all the drivers for x32 from the site and still they don't work and i checked device manager and found nothing not installed and b4 my format there were cool wallpapers vaio and some applications i don't remember from vaio but didn't find them on the site

I have not had good luck with my SZ series notebooks in that the first one stopped responding to touch properly, and this one the left button needs quite firm presses to work correctly.
Is it possible to replace or fix just that one component or is it an assembly including the right button and the trackpad as well? Does anyone know the part number and where I might be able to find it along with a guide for replacing it?

I've looked through the add/remove programs and can't find it. Right-clicking on it does nothing.

I don't know what it is with this laptop and messengers. But NOTHING wants to work. Heres a list of problems
1) AIM wont open (fixed, I had to change port number) So now AIM works on iChat and Adium
2) MSN wont open on the actual application (Mac Messenger) I want to webcam chat with people, and it just WONT start. It starts on adium since I checked the box to use http or something, but I can't webchat on adium.
When I try to open messenger, it says I am not connected to internet, which I clearly am...
I checked my routers firewall. And I am not too sure how to change things on the macs firewall. I just want to use messengers..

Is there any way to preserve finish of the Sony Vaio FW, particularly on the mouse buttons and where the palm-rest is, I hear the silver stippled paint finish wears away leaving bare white plastic underneath.

It has the 1600x900 screen which I've heard some criticism of (I heard something about it having a one-lamp "eco" screen) but I don't know if that applies to the model I bought or how good the eco screen is.
If I can get a skin that is precut for that laptop's dimensions in particular (nothing fancy, just black would be good), that would be awesome.
I'm considering this skin, but it's not precut, and I don't know how good it is...

I got my new Sony Vaio NW 275 with blu ray and the ati 4570. I formatted the HD and installed a new copy of Windows 7 64 bit. I also have Powerdvd and Arcsoft total media theater. When I launch one of these programs it will start fine. But when I click the play button to play either a DVD or Blu-Ray the apps both crash everytime. And they are all patched up to the latest version. Am I missing something here? Did I not install something after I formatted?
