I have found that mouse etc only works from usb3 slot not from other 2 slots, have tried reinstalling drivers for chipset and usb3 ... I can run a fan stand from other 2 but that is all.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy keyboard has started being erratic and not responding when some keys are pressed. I use the notebook mostly as a docking station, with a larger monitor and separate keyboard, so it's not an issue of the keys being misused or over-used. It's not related (as far as I can determine) to caps lock or any interference with USBs. It happens when I'm booting up as well as when I'm typing in a document and with nothing attached to the computer other than the power cable.

I believe the best choice is probably replacing the fan, but I've found it is extremely difficult to find the exact fan in my laptop. How compatible does the fan have to be to be replaced? I've uninstalled the Fresno Logic USB Root Hub, re-installed the Intel Chipset Driver, rebooted the machine and watched it search for a driver. No driver found to install. So, I run the installation program for the Fresco Logic USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver (SP55093) and reboot. Device Manager still says "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)  There is no driver selected for the device information set or element."

i have an acer 9303WSMi. i was watching a video on youtube, but the sound wasnt working properly. so i restarted my computer, and when it began to turn back on, the screen remained blank, and it made 1 long beep sound, followed by 2 short ones. i have looked this up and it apparently means that it has a problem with my graphics card. now i have 2 quesions. firstly, can my lapotop be fixed by me? secondly if not can it be fixed if i send it off to someone, and iof so roughly how long will it take for it to be fixed and returned to me?

The first try, it will get to where the little green lines run across then they stop halfway. I have to power off and start it again. It usually (but not always) takes me to a screen asking me to either Repair or Start windows normally. If I choose to repair, it does it's thing then says that the repair was unsuccessful so I've been choosing to 'Start windows normally' and its starts up ok.

I thought the problem was the cpu temperatures... 60º-65º idle, and just open a few windows it reachs at 75º-80º, and stay in this temps.
Notebook Hardware Control, lets make undervolting. So I make some test... and just when the cpu loads at 100% the audio works properly, clean and perfect. If cpu loads under 80% the audio sounds... but defective, not clean...
Built in mic on my Aspire 5738ZG don't work properly when I use Skype. I'm on windows xp, 32 bit. I installed Audio Realtek drivers from Acer officialy web site but sound of mic is still very low. Other people said that they hear me very bad when we talk on Skype for example. What I can do?

Hovering over the speaker icon gives me the text, "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." I use the internal speakers, and I always have my headphones plugged in. Audio playback troubleshooting doesnt give me anything (though at one point during my progress, it said that my audio device was disabled.)Â

I have an eMachines EM250 (mechanically identical to the AO D250) and I can not for the life of me figure out what the small card slot on the bottom of the computer is. I know the memory slot and the HDD slot but the third slot is a mystery. I think it is a mini-PCI slot for a solid state memory module but I'd like to find a definitive answer before I go any further.

I recently bought Acer aspire E15 model E5-572G-5577 which came with i5-4210m (2.6 to 3.2Ghz),8GB RAM,Nvidia GeForce 840M 2GB dedicated VRAM,1TB HDD and freeDOS. Since i recieved Win8.1 x64 for my Birthday i bought this laptop without windows and installed 8.1, as Acer claims that fully supports this OS.
Everything was ok in installation and i even installed HD4600 driver but when installed Nvidia driver although it looked ok and it was shown in device manager the graphic card wasn't show in my display (only HDGraphics) and in nvidia control panel i had only the 3D settings option but still it seems that 840M hasn't kicked in.
I assume its the driver so after many attempt with different drivers i still have the same issue. The laptop is brand new and in OEM 8.1 it seems to work but not for all of us that have a bought copy of Windows. I have wasted so much money on a Acer with 840M GPU that wont work.
I have Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and for some reason, on the Pavilion g7-2320dx, and I have both a USB keyboard and mouse.the only port that the keyboard/mouse works in is the one by the charger (I think it is usb 3).Before I downgraded, I used the USB ports on the left for the Mouse, and the one on the right for the Keyboard.I know there has to be a driver for it somewhere.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have this 4-year old laptop. I bought a Kingston 2GB DDR2 800mhz CL6 PC2-6400 module to install into the second slot (the first one has the stock 2GB RAM module). BIOS didn't recognize it, so I tried to plug the original RAM module from the first slot (A) into the second (B) and the laptop didn't even power on. Then I tried to install the Kingston into the first slot (A) and the laptop did power on and run OK. So it is clear that the second RAM slot is not working properly.
Does it mean that I need to replace the motherboard in order to fix it? Is there any other way this could be fixed (maybe the slot isn't bad, it just needs some setup, maybe cleaning, I don't know)?
