I was playing music last night when all of a sudden I feel the music is lagging a bit every 3-8 seconds. For about half a second, it's barely noticable sometimes but very noticable other times.
I notice that it kinda lags in games also, Ive formatted the computer and re set up all the drivers. Still no good
has anybody else had a crackling sound when playing sound example music/games. i always get it in my right speaker and how can i fix this i believe this is a software/hardware issue as whenever the sound goes off the crackling deaseses.
I recently picked up a 3680, upgraded to a 320GB hard drive and switched to xp from Vista. Runs great but the speakers sound like they are down in a well literally. Could it be the drivers or do I need to replace the speakers? Anyone else have this problem? The reason I believe the speakers are ok is when I use headphones it sounds the same.
i recently purchased this aspire 6930, new, and i noticed the sound, compared to my cousins aspire, is very low....and i checked all the levels, and they're all max
i just downgraded my new acer aspire 5315 from vista to XP, however now i am getting no sounds output at all just beeps! I have installed the Realtek HD Audio driver and removed it a number of times but no sound at any time..
I have had it for a while and have ugraded the Ram and put Bluetooth into it. Now Im wanting the sound to be better. Just a higher output so it louder. Is there anyway of doing this. New sound card or driver of some sort?
I recently bought the Acer Aspire E1-432. It runs Windows 8.1. When I use HDMI to watch movies on my TV, the sound is not played by the TV but by the notebook. I looked on the internet for solutions for this problem and encountered two recurring possibilities.  1) Go to sound manager, show disabled devices and select the HDMI as main audio output.  When I go to sound manager and try the above solution, I can not select anything but the default audio. It does not matter if I plugged in the HDMI cable or not nor does it work to select the HDMI source on the TV. The option does not appear in sound manager.  2) Update the HD realtek audio driver.  I tried removing the driver and letting the notebook update the driver itself. Again it did not work. Secondly, I downloaded the newest version of the HD Realtek Audio Driver I could find (6.0.1.7027) and installed over the old version. Again, this did not work.  Any solution, applicable on this type of laptop, that might do the job?  By the way, chromecast works fine, using the same HDMI port. The cable works as well, for a different laptop of mine is able to produce audio with the exact same cable and same HDMI port.
I therefore have felt the need to come back, because I now now have a new problem (well its actually been around for a good few months). This problem is also a buzzing noise, but this time from the speakers and in particular, what sounds like the subwoofer. They randomly start making a crackling/buzzing/distorted static sound at random intervals when listening to music or videos or when using Skype, etc.
I've had this problem for a while and it hasn't bothered me as normally going to 'Acer eAudio Management' and simply swapping to '5.1 Output' and then back to 'Built in Speakers' solved the problem, albeit temporarily. Its been more of an annoyance than anything.
However, on Tuesday (2 days ago) I got my copy of Windows 7 through the post to replace my Vista installation. 7 is fantastic it really is, but since I have installed it all hell has broken lose with my speakers. The buzzing noise is now much more frequent, particualry when simply opening something such as Skype or Windows Media Player, whilst listening to iTunes. Swapping between the '5.1' and 'built in speakers' does stop the buzzing, but now, it comes back almost instantly.....................
Aspire 7520G, Realtek audio installed, Logitech Z-10 USB speakers and Steelseries Siberia Neckband Headset with additional sound card (see pic).
So. When I switch off winamp, plug out speakers and plug-in my headset - its not working! The most interesting thing is when I just plug-in in the headset without sound card (just directly to the note) - it works!
I dont know why, but earlier it was working properly with this external sound regulator. And now not.
I suppose, it might be because of USB/analog switching or something similar, but I dont know..
im trying to setup my uncles new laptop but i couldnt get any sound to output over hdmi
i disabled the nvidia thing and realtek from the sound properties in control panel then couldnt find how ot make them reappear i managed to uninstall the realtek then restart and it installed it again so i got sound on the laptop

after that how do i make it output sound through the hdmi to his tv
Acer Aspire 7720 I've got. Basically it has both the common boot-up freeze and crackly/distorted sound problems that appear to be common. I understand that the best, albeit riskiest, way to solve these is to flash the bios to a more recent version, which I am prepared to do.
However - the bios upgrades are not available from Acer's own support site, and I don't know where else I can find them, and I have tried.... Is there anyone who can help me locate them? The problems with this laptop are driving me spare, and I really can't afford another, or even another motherboard, just yet.
It worked yesterday but as of this morning no sound. The Realtek highDef sound device has the current driver and is identified as operational by the Win 8.1 device manager, but no sound comes out from any source. Rolling back the driver to an earlier version did result in a pulse of static during the changeover but still no output. Â As side note the Devices and Printers button is no longer working in Classic Shell.
I had tried that already, sadly still stale results with no change. Tomorrow I'm planning on buying different HDMI cables to see if it's a hardware issue, I don't want to take my computer in if it's happening to all three (I read somewhere that it may be the cord itself) .....
Right I have a picture on my panasonic TV but no sound through HDMI i've installed different drivers countless times and i cant see any HDMI option in playback devices. Â am i thick and loading the wrong drivers or is this just another problem with this laptop? Â like a mouse that zips all over the screen whenever you try and move the mouse right it goes left.... Â win 8.1
I have an Aspire 6930G and I used Vista 32bit for some time without any problems but I decided to try Windows 7 64bit and everything went fine except the sound. I downloaded the drivers for this version of windows straight from the Acer site (Realtek version 6.0.1.5888) and the sound is fine almost every time but sometimes it goes all weird and starts making a lot of noise. I've tried to delete all the sound drivers from device manager and installing them again and it happens just the same thing after a while.
I have upgraded to Windows 7 x64 (a fair while ago) and rencently it has started to come up with "No sound device installed" over the speaker icon in the sys tray.
This happens about 50% of the time when the computer has started up. It never has any issues once the sound is working.
When the sound is not working "Sound, Video and Game Controllers" in Device manager is missing and i cant find the "Reltek HD Audio" device any where else in device manager.
It's just had a freash install of the OS and is still not working reliably.
I bought my Aspire notebook a few weeks ago and after messing around with Vista I decided to replace Vista with XP. But since then I can't get the sound working the way it did before I formated. I tryed everything including driver replacement, update, and even installing the Vista HD 889 sound drivers but still nothing. Everytime I ran a sound file only the left front and back speakers are working 100% the rest work roughly around 20%.
i recently bought the notebook, after a month it was fine nothing went wrong, then in the pass couple weeks i've notice that a "crackling" sound comes on when i play music, this also happens when my headphones are plugged in. Strangely enough the crackling sound only happens when my charger is unplug, when i put the charger in, the crackling sound stops. Is there a way to fix this?
I recently got this laptop, Acer Aspire E5-521-23kh with windows 8.1. I have it set up as a desktop so to speak, using a monitor with hdmi cable, wireless keyboard and mouse, and have speakers that use the headphone jack. Just yesterday I started having issues with the sound, it would suddenly turn off even with my speakers powered on. Restarting the computer, or disabling the speakers and then enabling them works, but it turns off eventually. And today I've had the sound working but has static/distortions with the sound. Â I don't think it's an issue with the plug in speakers, as I've unplugged them and sound still wasn't coming out of the laptop speakers. But using troubleshooting for windows, it says there are no problems with sound. I've checked in device manager, and under audio inputs/output I've checked that all devices had up to date drivers. I've only had this laptop for a month, and what the cause could be.
I have a problem with the audio. I reinstal the O.S. because my laptop was working slow, and because the sound did not work properly. Everything affter instalation works fine, just the audio doen't work properly, it sounds...hesitating
I thought the problem was the cpu temperatures... 60º-65º idle, and just open a few windows it reachs at 75º-80º, and stay in this temps.
Notebook Hardware Control, lets make undervolting. So I make some test... and just when the cpu loads at 100% the audio works properly, clean and perfect. If cpu loads under 80% the audio sounds... but defective, not clean...
After reinstalling Windows on my mother's 3000 WLMi, everything works as expected, except there is no sound. I have tried installing drivers off the Acer website, and checking all the sound controls, but to no avail.
I just bought a Aspire E5-571G-583R and I'm trying to get 5.1 sound from it. I've connected the laptop HDMI to my home theatre system which supports both Dolby Digital and DTS, not working. I've also tried to my LG LED-TV which supports Dolby Digital, that's also a no go. I've installed the latest Realtek drivers from your download pages (6.0.1.7250). The problem, as far as I can tell, is that it uses the Intel display sound driver instead of Realtek HD sound driver on the HDMI port. I have tried to change the driver on the HDMI device to Realtek but then I got the win 8.1 version of the BoD.
So I guess I've two questions:
1. Is it possible to force the Realtek driver on the HDMI in order to get 5.1 sound? 2. If not, how do I get 5.1 sound from the laptop?
In Windows 7 on my aspire 0722 I can find no tabs for playback  - when I go the Sound settings my only option is the Conexant speakers in the netbook.  I get great video though my hdmi cable.  I have checked and I am up to date on my Win 7 updates. Is there some new driver download I should be trying?
I'm running Windows 8.1 and I've successfully connected via Bluetooth other devices to my R7 and sound bar but I can't successfully connect my Aspire R7 to my Samsung Sound Bar model HW-H750.
At some point during the day, the sound on my Acer Aspire 5742 (running on Windows 7) ceased to function. There is no sound on any internet browser, and the normal notification audio is also not playing. I have checked the mixer and everything is fine. I have checked the speaker properties, which says that the Realtek Audio speakers are enabled and working properly. However, when I try to test the speakers a message says 'Failed to play test tone'. The weird thing is that Spotify is playing totally normally. I have tried shutting down Spotify and restarting it. I have tried turning my computer off and on again.
