Acer Aspire V3 771 :: Can Increase Sound On Home Theater With Dolby?
Nov 24, 2014Is there any way the sound can be increased so we can listen to the laptop as a family. The sound on our small tablet is twice as loud!

Acer :: Aspire 2930z (Dolby Home Theater)
Mar 27, 2009My father just bought an Acer Aspire 2930z for me, it came with Vista Home Edition in it and every thing was working cool but I wanted to install Windows Vista Ultimate, so without thinking a second, I formatted the computer and installed Vista Ultimate,
I got the drivers from web and every thing works perfect, only Small problem I am facing, the Acer Aspire 2930z comes with Dolby home theater feature, which is one of my favourite feature, bufore formatting I thought that this feature will be implemented automatically when I will install my sound driver but this is not the case, the sound is working OK but no Home theater feature "effect".
I went to net and tried to find, but have not found what i was looking for, what I have to download and install in order to have my Home Theater effect back with my play back.

Jun 24, 2014when I open the .msi/.exe file(tried both) of dolby home theatre v4 it gives me a error message ''pcee needs to be installed''.At the start dolby wasnt working it was giving a message of the program doesnt work and it says i need to reboot it also but it ddnt worked so I uninstall dolby but I cant install now what must I to do now.Everything happened after trying to update realtek audio with a program. this is how it look at the device manager. I reinstalled the driver from the website, and from the d:/ (LENOVO) drive, but I still do not see it. I also did not see Dobly Home Theater listed on the drivers/downloads section of the website. This phenomenon just started popping up since I upgraded from W7 to W8.
Dolby Home theater came with the Ideapad so is there a W8 update for this issue? Or perhaps I should just uninstall Dolby, but what are the consequences when I do so?

Mar 31, 2010I remember on vista I was playing dirt 2 for a while, and the main menu music sounded incredible. Awesome deep loud sound.
Now on win 7, It seems do dull and lifeless and low. I have the latest realtek HD drivers for the 5920g. Everything is on max. Played around with the settings.
The speakers are capable of so much more, need more power delivered to them, NOT just a higher equaliser setting. Its so annoying having the volume on 100% and not being able to hear much.
Does anyone know of a way or modified drivers that boost the sound up? Such a shame, you should be able to use the speakers to capacity. I.e the point at which they start to distort is where you stop. I need at least 200% volume to achieve this.
Also what 64 bit druvers from realtek offer the best quality sound? Has anyone exprimented with this? I id notice a difference between versions in the past on vista.
Acer :: Dolby Digital Plus Lags Or Crashes On Aspire V7
Sep 6, 2014I have a problem with the Dolby utility that came preinstalled on Acer Aspire V7 482PG. When I click it, it takes around 5-20 seconds for the interface to show up (5 when I am not doing anything, more during playing anything with sound (youtube video etc.). Sometimes it does not even open and the icon disappears until I log off the PC and logon again.
PS.: there is enough HDD space, it is defragmented, there are no viruses or spyware (according to Defender and Malwarebytes), there are not too many programs running in the background.

Jan 2, 2015I have recently upgraded to windows 8.1 on my Acer Aspire and unfortunately since then, Dolby Advanced Audio V2 refuses to work. I have uninstalled my audio drivers, and re-installed with the latest versions, I have uninstalled DAAV2 and re-installed, and it still does not work. I'm not really sure where to go from here. It launches properly and you can turn it on and off, but ultimately, it does not show any difference between having it on anymore or off. As well as the fact that the little panel you open where it shows the bars while you play music, doesn't move at all. I use my Acer Aspire mainly for music and youtube videos and the like, so this is rather important to me.

Nov 24, 2008I am a "silver surfer" who is starting to enjoy "playing" and "tweaking" my Acer Aspire 5920G on pre-installed Vista SP1 as a little hobby to pass the time
So far I have confined myself to dabbling with software and Vista itself but am now thinking about becoming more adventurous and upgrading the RAM from present 2GB to 4GB.
Firstly, is this a worthwhile upgrade bearing in mind I do not run any particularly intensive applications? In other words will I notice a performance difference in,for instance, boot times etc ?
Secondly, a few months ago I think I saw an article or thread in this Forum explaining how to increase the RAM in a 5920G and containing a couple of very useful diagrams.
