Lenovo Y50 P/Y/Z Series :: Can't Install Dolby Advanced Or Home Theater W8.1
Jan 23, 2015
I can't install Dolby Home Theater becouse error "pcee needs to be installed". I installed PCEE from web but still doesn't work. y50-70 windows 8.1 , drivers from lenovo website.
when I open the .msi/.exe file(tried both) of dolby home theatre v4 it gives me a error message ''pcee needs to be installed''.At the start dolby wasnt working it was giving a message of the program doesnt work and it says i need to reboot it also but it ddnt worked so I uninstall dolby but I cant install now what must I to do now.Everything happened after trying to update realtek audio with a program. this is how it look at the device manager. At the pic focus to the selected device because other things are turkish
Y510p was supposed to have Dolby Home Theater v4 and I can't find it? I looked in the program files as well as the programs and features and can't find anything about it. I reinstalled the driver from the website, and from the d:/ (LENOVO) drive, but I still do not see it. I also did not see Dobly Home Theater listed on the drivers/downloads section of the website. How I can get this?
I was updating some drivers yesterday and I accidentally uninstalled dobly home theater one way or another, and I have been searching the internet far and wide for a download but I could not come across one. When I go into the dolby tab it says I have dolby digital plus, and I can press the blue power button to turn it on, but I cannot select movie, game, or music as they are not there.
After every startup I get an annoying pop-up message of Dolby Home theater that the Dolby-audiodriver was not able to start.
This phenomenon just started popping up since I upgraded from W7 to W8.
Dolby Home theater came with the Ideapad so is there a W8 update for this issue? Or perhaps I should just uninstall Dolby, but what are the consequences when I do so?
I started using my laptop with Windows 8 and everything was working fine. But then Windows upgraded to 8.1 and now I cannot get the Dolby Home Theater v4 to start, I always get the error message about driver.
My father just bought an Acer Aspire 2930z for me, it came with Vista Home Edition in it and every thing was working cool but I wanted to install Windows Vista Ultimate, so without thinking a second, I formatted the computer and installed Vista Ultimate,
I got the drivers from web and every thing works perfect, only Small problem I am facing, the Acer Aspire 2930z comes with Dolby home theater feature, which is one of my favourite feature, bufore formatting I thought that this feature will be implemented automatically when I will install my sound driver but this is not the case, the sound is working OK but no Home theater feature "effect".
I went to net and tried to find, but have not found what i was looking for, what I have to download and install in order to have my Home Theater effect back with my play back.
I'd been having problems with the microphone not picking up voice well after upgrading to Windows 8.1. I went to Lenovo's website and downloaded IDT audio driver version 6.10.6490.0 for Windows 8.1 64bit. I ran the exectuable that was downloaded and now the Microphone works much better however now Dolby Advanced Audio is unable to start. I get the following warning message everytime I start the laptop:
"Unable to start the Dolby Audio driver. Please restart the computer or reinstall the driver if the problem persists."
Restarting has not worked. Running the driver executable again did not correct the issue.
I found this solution on the support forums but it is unclear about what to uninstall in "Device Manager"[URL]..."Open Device Manager Uninstall the Audio Device Under Audio inputs and outputs"I have a Microphone, Speakers, and Stereo Mix listed under Audio Inputs and Outputs.
I added a second drive (SSD) successfully to the E540, everything works and is set up properly. I still have the original HDD in place and got Windows 8.1 (x64) installed on both drives. However, I cannot run Dolby Advanced Audio v2 when booting from the (fresh) Windows installation on the SSD. Right after booting or trying to start the application there is a Windows error message telling me that the Dolby-driver cannot be run and I should reinstall the application if the error continues to exist.
When booting from the original HDD there is no problem with Dolby Advanced Audio v2, the application just works fine. Whenever booting from SSD the error message comes up.
I know that this is a known issue and I've read all the information that is out there on the internet. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling from the DRIVERS folder on C: multiple times, installed everything in different orders and tried almost every combination of using the SETUP in AUDIO, the SETUP in DOLBY, the UIUa64 and so on. I can't install Dolby Advanced Audio v2 on the new SSD properly. The installation finishes and Dolby Advanced Audio v2 is shown in the list of installed programs, but immediately after finishing the installation the error message also occurs.
(I exactly followed the reported solutions for other systems, but none of them worked for me. In which order I have to run the driver setup(s) for my E540 if you think this is a possible error source.) I really do not know what could cause the error message while the (seemingly) exact installation still works while booting from the original HDD?
(I am not referring to Dolby Digital Plus but Advanced Audio v2! The Dolby Digital Plus user interface is accessible on SSD. The sound quality varies tremendously between the two Windows installations on HDD and SSD and the loss of sound quality is unacceptable for me.)
I have a HP Pavilion G6-2252sa Notebook running Windows 8 and I have just installed 8.1. All is OK, except the equalizer function in Dolby Advanced Audio V2 is no longer working. You can still move the equalizer sliders but the actual sound quality remains the same. It just sounds flat as if all sliders are permanently set at zero.
I just updated the Realtek Audio Driver this morning when I saw the update available in the Update center. The driver went from v 6.0.1.6914 to v 6.0.1.7040. Now, the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 won't work. It forgot my previous EQ settings and when I make a new one, it doesn't change a thing in the sound. Is there a way to roll back to the previous version?
This is really bad as I'm listening to lots of music on this laptop while I'm working and without the Dolby EQ, the sounds is not very good...
I have Acer V3-571G, windows 7 drivers are old, but ok, all work. I today buy and intalled Win 8.1 Pro, downloaded the lastest drivers from Acer, but the Dolby Home Theater dont work... Found there others who asking for this problem but nobody from Acer cant repair this problem??? 1 YEAR are out the 8.1 and nobody programmed for this anything??
The V3-571G has the worst Bass what I have notebooks, a EQ from Dolby Home Theaher works a little, but from today this little missing too? -.-
I have recently upgraded to windows 8.1 on my Acer Aspire and unfortunately since then, Dolby Advanced Audio V2 refuses to work. I have uninstalled my audio drivers, and re-installed with the latest versions, I have uninstalled DAAV2 and re-installed, and it still does not work. I'm not really sure where to go from here. It launches properly and you can turn it on and off, but ultimately, it does not show any difference between having it on anymore or off. As well as the fact that the little panel you open where it shows the bars while you play music, doesn't move at all. I use my Acer Aspire mainly for music and youtube videos and the like, so this is rather important to me.
I have updated my HP Pavilion G6 2242sf to Windows 8.1 and the sound quality is not as good as in Windows 8 : In the Dolby control panel the equalizer works but switch the Dolby Advanced Audio checkbox has no effect so there is no more surround virtualization and the 3 effects "Movie", " Music", and "Voice" are not working anymore. Now my laptop speakers sounds choppy.
How I can update the BIOS so I can be able to access advanced options such as memory config, enabling turbo boost, overlocking, changing the boot order (HDD, CDROM, USB, etc)
Currently the BIOS is a very simple and doens't give me advanced options and information.
I just updated my G780 to Windows 8.1 this morning. every time I boot up the computer, I get an Error message stating" Dolby Advanced Audio - Unable to start the Dolby Audio driver. Please restart the computer or reinstall the driver if the problem persists. I have restrtaed the computer and I do not know where the driver is for this or where to install it. Computer is just over a month old.
I tried to recover my PC to factory settings using the CD's that I had created with OneTouch Recovery software. However the recovery failed - perhaps due to scratches in the disk.
So, I have B590 Lenovo Notebook with Windows 8 and the Wi-Fi doesn't work well.
When I try connect at home, my Wi-fi works fine. Not problem. But when I try another one - e.g. In School or somewhere in the city, the others wi-fis don't work. Windows 8 tell me something like "It's not possible to connect" .....
Basically, i recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad U410 blue from Canada Computer & Electronic. Everything was good until recently, I am having trouble connect to my home network!! It was fine, but two days ago, it just frequently drop out from my home wifi( keep saying limited access, no internet connection, then identifying.....no network access)
The problem is, all other devices i got are fine! My other laptop, my phone, and my ipad are all good to connect to my home wifi!!! And what's more confusing is that, my U410 is OK to connect to other network like the hotspot I set up from my iphone(just trying), my frds' wifi......And what's even more bothering, is that it happened two days ago, and yesterday the problem just magically disappeared!! I used it surfing internet for the whole last night with my home wifi and no problem with it.
However, i woke up this morning, problem popped up again,, can't connect to internet! I mean, the signal is super good!!!! no problem with detecting network, even connecting, it just wont identify or whatever. Drivers all up to date! I mean is a brand new computer....
SO is it my laptop's problem, or my network adapter's problem , or is it my router's problem!!!
I want to do a clean Vista install on the above notebook, and if the time comes, restore the setup (OS) to the default config with minimal effort. Read a lot of threads on how to do this, but just need some help/advice on the following.
Currently the HDD partitioned as: 110MB (EISA Config), FAT16 Pri 10GB, RECOVERY (D:), NTFS Pri 136GB, OS (C:), NTFS Pri Act 2.5GB MEDIADIRECT, FAT32
Discs supplied with laptop: Vista Reinstall DVD, Dell Drivers & Utilities, Roxio, Dell MediaDirect
What I want is to do a clean Vista install to the OS (C:) partition (formatting it), but still keep the other partitions in case I have to resell my notebook. My main concern is not being able to restore the factory image back to C .....
why is my installation of vista freezing on the last step? its either freezing or taking a very long time. its been at the last step for about 20 minutes so far. It did this last time i tried to do a clean install with a dell disc without knowing about installing vista on hp machine with a dell disc. but now i have used vlite and made a anytime upgrade disc and took out the tell stuff according to this tut. the green progress bar isn't moving either. at the bottom of the screen where it says the upgrade may take several hours to complete, my screen doesn't have that.
