When i installed realtek audio driver, dolby digital plus home theater was installed instead of dolby home theater v4.

I started using my laptop with Windows 8 and everything was working fine. But then Windows upgraded to 8.1 and now I cannot get the Dolby Home Theater v4 to start, I always get the error message about driver.

I reinstalled the driver from the website, and from the d:/ (LENOVO) drive, but I still do not see it. I also did not see Dobly Home Theater listed on the drivers/downloads section of the website. How I can get this?

When I go into the dolby tab it says I have dolby digital plus, and I can press the blue power button to turn it on, but I cannot select movie, game, or music as they are not there.

This phenomenon just started popping up since I upgraded from W7 to W8.
Dolby Home theater came with the Ideapad so is there a W8 update for this issue? Or perhaps I should just uninstall Dolby, but what are the consequences when I do so?

My father just bought an Acer Aspire 2930z for me, it came with Vista Home Edition in it and every thing was working cool but I wanted to install Windows Vista Ultimate, so without thinking a second, I formatted the computer and installed Vista Ultimate,
I got the drivers from web and every thing works perfect, only Small problem I am facing, the Acer Aspire 2930z comes with Dolby home theater feature, which is one of my favourite feature, bufore formatting I thought that this feature will be implemented automatically when I will install my sound driver but this is not the case, the sound is working OK but no Home theater feature "effect".
I went to net and tried to find, but have not found what i was looking for, what I have to download and install in order to have my Home Theater effect back with my play back.
Is there any way the sound can be increased so we can listen to the laptop as a family. The sound on our small tablet is twice as loud!

I want to upgrade my hardware by replacing my current hard disk with an Solid State Disk. The problem is that in windows 8 there is not any program except the OneKey Recovery which obviously it isn't a Microsoft's official recovery application (such as the one in Windows 7). If I create a disk with OneKey then is there any way to use it to install windows 8 on the new SSD disk? How the pc is gonna recognize a backup disk created by an application which is not installed on it?
I have Acer V3-571G, windows 7 drivers are old, but ok, all work. I today buy and intalled Win 8.1 Pro, downloaded the lastest drivers from Acer, but the Dolby Home Theater dont work... Found there others who asking for this problem but nobody from Acer cant repair this problem??? 1 YEAR are out the 8.1 and nobody programmed for this anything??

Suddenly my keyboard seems switched to a different layout.

So it looks like my Ideapad Z580 has suddenly adopted the settings of another keyboard layout. How I can restore the correct settings?
I have just done a restore using OneKey. And Windows 7 has updated itself.
Now, After I log in to windows 7, after 20 seconds, before it initialises all the programs on the laptop, it restarts.
What can I do to stop the laptop from restarting?

I tried to to recover from onekey recovery key I use system recovey mode but at that time i got error:"The program cannot find service partition. This function currently unavailable ."

My new Lenovo Z580 runs windows 8 64bit, core i3 3rd gen, 4gb RAM.
The problem is, since day 1,every few minutes the internet stops working. It shows as connected, the router is working, other connected devices run as intended and everything's fine. But internet doesn't work on my laptop. It says "Could not connect to the network". I have tried doing the "keep wifi on during sleep" etc. but nothing works. It just stops working after a while even though I am using the laptop, it just suddenly stops. It even shows as connected, and packets are being received but internet or any application over the internet will not work untill I disconnect and reconnect.
I have a problem with my TouchPad , the scrolling of right side has been stopped working ... I've installed all drivers that belong to touchpad , but it doesn't work as well as before , mean it doesn't work even ( the right side ) , i just can use my tow fingers for scrolling, but the right side was so much better ..
View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically, i recently purchased a Lenovo Ideapad U410 blue from Canada Computer & Electronic. Everything was good until recently, I am having trouble connect to my home network!! It was fine, but two days ago, it just frequently drop out from my home wifi( keep saying limited access, no internet connection, then identifying.....no network access)
The problem is, all other devices i got are fine! My other laptop, my phone, and my ipad are all good to connect to my home wifi!!! And what's more confusing is that, my U410 is OK to connect to other network like the hotspot I set up from my iphone(just trying), my frds' wifi......And what's even more bothering, is that it happened two days ago, and yesterday the problem just magically disappeared!! I used it surfing internet for the whole last night with my home wifi and no problem with it.
However, i woke up this morning, problem popped up again,, can't connect to internet! I mean, the signal is super good!!!! no problem with detecting network, even connecting, it just wont identify or whatever. Drivers all up to date! I mean is a brand new computer....
SO is it my laptop's problem, or my network adapter's problem , or is it my router's problem!!!
Recently I purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad S510p with DOS installed in it.
Then I installed Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x64, and downloaded all Windows 7 drivers from the lenovo support website.
But the left two USB 3 ports don't detect at all. They are not working.
The fan on my IdeaPad Y570 has suddenly stopped switching on. It does not spin regardless of temperature, and as a result, temperatures reach 90C+. The dedusting mode works fine, the fan spins up as expected for the cycle, and sounds normal. So the fan is not physically broken or clogged. I have also installed 3rd party software CPUID HWMonitor to check if the temperature sensors are functioning, and they all show temperatures at expected levels, and more than high enough to warrant the fan coming on.
I don't think I have installed any new software that might interfere with it. I have tried re-installing the Lenovo Energy Management software. I have also tried starting the laptop in safe mode, to no effect.
I've installed win7 64bit on my Ideapad S410p. The problem is 2 USB3.0 ports can't be used, only 1 USB2.0 that can be used. The driver was installed and nothing wrong. In order to use USB3.0, I need to plug in the device and then restart my laptop. I must do that every time plug to USB3.0.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Ideapad Y560 laptop, I had some issue with the battery yesterday. It worked fine until I shutdown the laptop last night. The laptop just powered off when I unplugged the AC, with battery installed. And of course I cannot boot the laptop without AC now. I installed power manager, and it says no battery installed. The battery worked fine until yesterday. When I plugged AC in, the meter shows it is charging, but the power volume is not going up. Is it a battery failure?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI just got a my brand new laptop from Lenovo but only the integrated graphics card is running and to make matter worse it crashes from time to time. The laptop has windows 7 installed.
Here's what happened:
Google sketch up test
1) install google sketch-up
2) run it for a while and then the screen goes white
3) error pops up stating that the integrated graphics has crashed
4) restarting sketchup is needed to continue
I tried the following to fix this:
1) reinstall the graphic card drivers from nvidia site
2) charge power management to max
3) set google sketch up to only use nvidia GPU (nvideo control panel)
Next I figured maybe it's sketchup with the problem so I downloaded a PC bench mark program - Maxon's Cinebench. this didn't work either
1) Does not see the nvidia card as an option to test
2) Setting it up to run only nvidia grpahics had no effect
3) I'm getting a crappy 17 frames per second - at least the ingrated graphics didn't crash this time..
I recently bought an IdeaPad Z570 and re-installed Windows 7 completely. I installed all the necessary drivers and software available on the Z570 drivers download page, including the Lenovo Energy Management Software.
The following software were not installed as I do not have any use for them:
Intel Matrix Storage Mgmt, Bluetooth, OneKey Recovery, McAfee, SRS Premium Sound
Everything is working fine except the One Key Theatre button. When I press it, nothing happens. I did some research and found out that the key should be enabled by the Energy Management Software, but it is not the case.
There were also some posts regarding a stand-alone One Key Theatre driver, but I cannot find any such thing on the Z570 drivers download page. Just to confirm, I do not have any "unknown device" in the device manager and the version of the Energy Management Software I installed is the 6.0.1.6 from 2011-03-29.
It is not working, I try many times. When I click the onekey button, the onekey recovery window is transparent, after I click any button, then it dead. I didn't changing partition size and I didn't created a set of recovery DVD from the One Key Recovery. The onekey recovery not work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had a problem with my IdeaPad U310 for quite a while now (about a year), the problem is the touchpad, it work all the time, but the features of the touchpad, such as two-finger-scrolling and features like that, stop working everytime I open a Microsoft Office program.
It works fine again when the computer has been restarted, but as soon as a Microsoft program has been opened the problem is there again.
I have tried to solve it as described under the topic: "IdeaPad U310, U410, U510 - Touchpad stops responding while using Microsoft Office", but the problem is the same.
As you see below the one with the icon of mic alone is the built-in microphone[the second one], I have the default drivers that are installed during installation of windows 8.1 pro 32bit.

The Headphones are working fine but the Inbuilt speakers that are Awefully situated inbetween the hinge and the base of the Screen aren't working.
First i thought that this was a issue with the headphone jack assembly that might have cut off the internal speaker circuit due to improper removal of the headphone jack but thats not true because I noticed that Its an Issue with the angle I keep my Screen's tilt.
On moving the screen to any angle above 90 or 100 degrees the speakers get cut of and are activated once its below 80 degrees.
Using Lenovo Ideapad U310 Ultrabook !
