I downloaded Keyconfig since I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to move to the next or previous tabs. And it's not in the list.
So I want to add in a new shortcut but I need the code for next tab and previous tab.
I am doing a lot of work with excel spreadsheets and I was wondering if there was a keyboard shortcut in Numbers that is similar to Ctrl-Shift-down in excel. Basically a keyboard shortcut to select a full column of cell entries that have a value in it. I can't for the life of me find it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe right-click on the touchpad requres a great deal of pressure, is there another way to access the context menu that I normally open with a right-click of the mouse? Or, is there a way to program the touchpad on the dv6 3134nr so that I can tap to open the context menu instead of using the cumbersome right-click? My touchpad sensitivity is set as low as it goes, but this does not seem to affect the click pressure required.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got my first mac (mbp 13") and I love it, but I'm a firefox user. Everytime I do two finger scroll, the browser lags. Its pretty annoying.
Also when I'm typing fast, the browser can't display the text fast enough, and I'm not even a fast typer.
I've installed Flip4Mac and I still can't listen to music that's using the WMP plugin on Firefox. I can't see the play, pause, etc. controls on the website. Sometimes, the music would play, but most of the time it won't. If it does play, I still can't see the controls for it.

how to get ALL my data from firefox to safari? (Passwords, History, Bookmarks, Cache...etc) I tried foxmarks but that doesn't bring all my data.
Usally when you start a new browser it ask you if you want to import any thing. But Safari 4 didn't. If I can't do this I will not switch, witch suck because I hear it's good.

View 7 Replies View RelatedThis afternoon, I erased the hard disk of my Macbook Pro 13'' with the idea that I had carefully saved all data on my external hard disk. After OSX Leopard was installed, I attempted to restore my Firefox profile to only find out that I had copied the wrong data to my external hard disk. Namely, the Firefox cache data instead of the profile itself.
The Firefox cache data can be found in 'user name' -> library -> caches -> Firefox -> Profiles, whereas I apparently should have copied the profile that can be found in 'user name' -> library -> application support -> Firefox -> Profile.
Now it seems that I didn't format the system properly as there are several files in the trash bin that I deleted before I erased the hard disk - even though I did erase the disk through the Disk Utility.
Therefore, I want to know whether there is any possibility to retrieve the profile that I need in order to restore my bookmarks/configuration for Firefox.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my MBP for about 4 month now and have been having problems with its keyboard since I bought it. First, the "Z" key sank in (I think there was a problem with the spring). I took it to the Apple Store, and they "fixed" on the spot (it's much harder to press and only registered a key press 70% of the time). The lower right corner of the "E" has noticeably sunk in, and I need to resort to pressing the upper left corner. Also, the left side of the keyboard feels "mushy", not hugely so, but definitely noticeable after typing a few sentences. Can I request that Apple just replace the entire keyboard instead of just individual keys?

I get this "error code 0" when I try to copy the files larger than 4gb. Now I heard that this is because it is a fat32 drive or something like that. Is there a way to fix this without buying a different hard drive?

I've tried googling but figure this would be a better place to ask. For some reason the VAIO Control Center won't let me map Snipping Tool to one of the keys.
Not only does it not show up in the explorer but it also wont recognize it as a program when typed in manually.
Its an .exe and it exists in the System32 folder and I just don't get why it won't work

If you want it to point to other programs, simply
1. copy and paste onto notepad
2. Change "wmplayer.exe" to something else the reason I don't use the full path is because wmplayer is in C:Windows and the shortcut can automatically find anything in C:Windows.
3. If the program is in Program Files you have to use the full path eg."C:Program FilesXXXXXX.exe"
4. Change the Label and description (although it doesn't work as in display the word Windows Media Player when you click it)
5. Save as backup.reg
6. Double Click then Confirm and you are done.
7.There are other keys however I don't recommend modifying them as they are pretty useful like battery saver mode and Wireless Shortcut.
8.To Locate other shortcut keys find the executable path and trace it to the specific keys.
9.LManager (LaunchManager) always hold the key data.

First is while I'm docked in at work I use a normal key board and it has a right click botton on it. When I go home I do not have that button and know for previous models there is a short cut that you can do to "right click" rather than going to the track pad and right clicking.
Second is for the F1, F2, F3, etc... to work I have to hold down the Fn button. Is there a way to turn around the keys to where when I hold down the Fn key and press F1 it actually mutes the sound. I guess im trying to say is there a way to switch the primary function of the F row?
The SSD in my laptop (HP Pavilion dv7t-6c00 CTO Quad Edition) recently died, so I got a new 120GB SSD and installed a non-OEM version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (this is because my SSD apparently isn't large enough for the Recovery Disks HP sent me -- long story). The past few days I've been installing all the necessary drivers, and just about everything is working like it did weeks ago. However, there is one problem: my TouchPad can no longer be turned off by double-tapping in the top-left corner.
I've tried three different Synaptics TouchPad drivers. The one found on HP's website (v. 15.3.11.0), the one I get when I click "update driver software" in Device Manager (v. 15.3.29.0), and the one found on Synaptics' own website (v. 17.0.19). I've checked out "TouchPad Properties" for all of them, and they've not been of any support.
For my current driver, however, when I click on "settings" under "Tapping," there's an area called "TouchPad Disable Zone Settings," that has a checkbox that says: "Double Tap to Enable or Disable TouchPad". However, the entire area is grayed out, and I can't check or uncheck the box (though, for what it's worth, it is currently checked). I candisable it manually in the "TouchPad Settings" tab of "Mouse Properties," but I'd prefer to just get the shortcut functionality back.
Does anyone have the wired full size apple keyboard w/ the numeric pad?
I got it a couple days ago and it definitely takes some getting used to. But that phase is over now and I love this keyboard. The build quality is amazing and typing feels just like my MBP keyboard.
i'm experiencing weird behaviour while using firefox, when scrolling using the mouse it stops for a sec every now and then, when right clicking the menu doesn't always show up and the most annoying when loading a webpage, it takes ages.. that is until i learned that if you move the mouse pointer after clicking on a link, its instant!
anyone else having weird problems like this?
