Is corrupted in my Acer 5313. From What I understand it is part of Vista and I cannot delete it out. So I am thinking about doing a restore. This laptop did not come with a restore disk.
I'm unable to play the MP3 songs thru windows media player in Windows7 and I'm using Dell Vostro 1500, while trying to play the songs its giving error message as "server execution is failed"
I have a Yoga 13 and have been avoiding the 8.1 update but was forced upon me yesterday. Media player stopped working but found the update on this site.
However all old videos now play fine but new ones taken today will not and just says 'Windows Media Player has stopped working'.
I have a desktop HP Envy h8-1417c 64 bit PC and I recently updated to Windows 8.1 (from Windows 8 - which came loaded on the PC). After the update, Windows Media Player still works fine, but it will not accept new album art and information when I try to rip one of my new CDs to the music library. It searches the internet, and finds the correct art and information, but when you click accept, nothing happens. The CD selections simply stay blank. I can still see the older files info and art (prior to the update) so I know it has retained what was already ripped. I also have a music editing program called Gold Wave (which works with Windows 8) and it can no longer find album art. I also have iTunes loaded and have no problems finding album artwork and info with this program.
I've got a lot of unorganized music and I don't want to play it with iTunes as it adds to music and this will clutter up my organised iTunes library. What is the best media player apart from iTunes?. Similar to Winamp for Windows.
When I open an audio file with Windows Media Player, it takes about 3 seconds before it plays. The same thing happens whenever I jump to a different part of the track. It has been like this since I first got it.
I downloaded the newest driver for the nvidia 8600..Which is like a year old now..Sometimes I would get the old blue screen crash and dump when viewing certain dvds..So I checked nvidia's website and got this driver and now I can't even watch dvds in the windows media player 11..I like to use it and other players work like the built in Quickplay..
I thought it was the codec but I am not sure what to do..I have tried a couple things installing codec packages and what nOT..Downloaded the new Divx 7 package and it gave me back avi and some files will now play..But some are s till a green blank...Also the dvd playback won't even do that or play sound..It kinda starts and everything freezes and its just black..The WMP locks up and becomes un responsive...Have shut it down and start over..I was thinking of going back to the old nvidia driver that I had but now sure how to do this..
i have recently bought acer aspire 6930 g laptop but when i play song with windows media player it play normally but when it turn on wow effect and tru bass of windows media player i found that the sound of song stop although it is still playing and when i turn wow effect off the problem continue but when i turn wow effect off and close windows media player and play the song again the song paly normally as this problem does not occur till i turn on wow effect of windows media player also i notice that when i turn on laptop its vista boot time is slow ..is this slow boot time is normal in acer aspire 6930 g and you should know that my model of acer aspire 6930g has processor core 2 duo t6400 2 ghz and 2 mgb cach and 4 gb ddr2 ram and has dobly home theater and 1000 gb hard disk.
i finally got my instant-on media player working on my laptop but it will not play mkv files or bluray discs. this is the main reason for using the software.
I have HP Envy dv6 7350se , the audio is nt working at all, when i play an mp3 file Windows media player says "Windows Media Player encountered a problem while playing the file."
I have an i9300 with a pinmodded 1.7- 2.26 processor, Nvidia 7800 GTX running stock clocks, and a 2 gb of aftermarket ram.
I have recently started to have the laptop crash on me while gaming. The computer boots fine, but after 15-20 minutes of playing Command and Conquer 3, i received a blue screen of death:
" A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer
Some more stuff about removing new hardware, trying new drivers, contacting system administrator, blah blah
beginnging dump of physical memory physical memory dump complete"
the computer restarted fine after that, but the computer crashed again after starting windows with that same blue screen error message, but with the the technical information different:
the computer booted again after that, but went through the full POST sequence.
Once the computer booted to windows normally, i ran ATI tool, and received the blue screen again roughly 17 minutes into the scan for artifacts test. No artifacts were detected at all. I have not yet run prime95 to test for processor stability
The computer booted fine after that, running through the normal shortened POST. It booted to windows fine and where im typing this post.
Some more information:
The 7800GTX was purchased used from a forum member. I previously overclocked the card to 440core and 1250 mem. I kept the overclock for a week or so, but noticed no differences when playing C&C 3 (the only game I play). I also applied ZALMAN's Super Thermal Grease to the card (reviews say it works as well as artic silver 5). I then dropped the clocks back to stock. That was roughly two weeks ago.
The 1.7-2.26 pinmod was not stable at stock voltages. The voltage was increased via pinmod, but I can't remember the exact amount. Two jumper wires were used in the volt mod however.
At idle, the processor reports a temperature of ~35 degrees. The 7800 idles around ~55. Underload, the processor jumps to around ~65 degrees. The 7800 was at 77 degrees when the computer crashed running ATItool.
I am currently using the XPS2 BIOS A05 and the laptop2go 92.91 nVidia drivers.
Recently got a hand me down laptop. My brother did a reinstall of Windows 7 and formatted the hard drive before handing it over.
Its having issues - I'm trying to play FM 2013 but keep getting crashes during games. When I looked in Device Manager there were a load of yellow !. Most I solved by just right clicking and updating the drivers. The 540M graphiics were not showing up a all - so I had to download these from the website myself - but now have the Nvidia centre - which seems to work.
But still the SM bus controller still shows a yellow ! - and the game continues to crash, sometimes it forces a system shutdown.
When I click on the yellow ! and get a hardware ids i get:
I bought this laptop 1 WEEK ago. 2 Days after purchase it crashed. Unable to get back in... tried turning on and off numerous times. Finally able to reacess, but system completely reset itself to factory settings. Thought it was a glitch..Its a brand new computer.. 3 days later, same problem. Finally able to get back on, through system repair, but all data is lost AGAIN. System update search states that "there has detected a serious problem loading language files and cannot continue. Please contact Lenovo Support Center" Also, touch screen no longer works. This is a brand new computer!??
I am trying to restore a corrupted M5 to factory defaults. Since the HDD was corrupted, the Acer eRecovery would not work. I purchased the Recovery Media CD set, changed BIOS to boot from CD, disabled secure Boot.
The System Disc comes up, i selected Restore Operating System to factory default. I get prompts to insert Recovery Disc 1, and after a few seconds get a message that the is no sufficient disk space to copy temporary files.
The HDD is 500GB, C: drive is 450GB and 415GB free.
I had a hard disk fail and had to reinstall Windows 7 on a new disk, but I could not read the COA. I ordered the recovery disks and now have a slight problem. When I try and boot to the System Disk 1 I get a no bootable media on disk message. I installed Windows 7 from a DVD I have for another computer and it works fine, but I can not validate Windows. How can I make the laptop run System Disk 1?
I Installed Windows 8.1 on my HP Pavillion g7 and now my DVD player wont work for some reason. I tried troubleshooting and it detects that there is a problem with the driverfor USB-IF xHCI USB Host Controller...
I'm thinking about getting a D630 and installing the 64-bit version of Windows 7 on it. Is there any reason that this won't be an easy process? Do I need any drivers from Dell?
I read here (http://www.sevenforums.com/sound-aud...-no-audio.html) that someone had a problem with audio from a docking station, but apparently it's fixed by installing vista drivers from the Dell website ...
Is anyone else out there running Windows 7 RC that just came out?(please don't whine about the fact this isn't production software, I work in IT and i purposefully installed this to start tinkering).
Whenever I close the lid on my m1330 and it goes in to sleep mode when I open it later I find it is turned off.
When i turn it on it boots up and says windows shut down unexpectedly and give me the safe mode prompts, etc
my friend has the old 15.4 in MBP, the one with the 8600gts....he recently has been having weird video crashes in windows and OSX, and he got apple care.
It has occurred to me that there's an issue with either my Dell Inspiron 3520 Laptop Computer or my Windows 8.1/Windows 8 OS. Occasionally, running the computer (sometimes when it's overheating or just when unplugging the laptop), the computer just crashes, i.e. Screen goes black, power light and HDD light stays on for a about 2 seconds before powering off. No blue screen, no warning, no updates. There's was no reason for it to go off, but it did. It's frustrating because:
1.) When I'm working/playing a game/hosting a multi-player server, the computer tends to crash in the middle of it causing my work to go to waste.
2.) I believe it will damage my laptop and cause further problems in the future
I've researched a bit about this issue before and people have said that it's due to overheating, but I have proven that this is not the case for me as I have placed my PC beside a fan where it kept a steady temperature of about 50-65 Degrees Celsius and I've still faced the issue.
I Just upgraded my 5672 to Windows Vista with a clean installation, installed all drivers from Acer's site. When I am using skype with bluetooth headset (Samsung WEP200) it crashes my computer to a blue screen does a memory dump and reboots. This happens every time after about 10-20 minutes of skype usage. Everything else seems to work fine for hours on end.
Secondly I still have an unknown device in device manager after installing all the drivers from Acers site, anyone know what device that could be? The hardware ID is "ACPISMCB000"
