View 1 RepliesMy wireless adapter needs to be constantly reset. My wireless constantly goes out, at least every 10 minutes or LESS and it has to reset the adapter. It's VERY annoying! I've already updated all the drivers and even tried re-installing the adapter.Bluetooth is NOT on.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs there a replaceable network card in the HP2000 Notebook? Almost every time I go to use it, I have to run the troubleshooter to reset the network adaptor. My signal srtength from the router is a full 5 bars, but the connection drops every few minutes, and then resets just fine. I LOOSE WHATEVER I'M WORKING ON.
I'm running Win8.1, and a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter.
I've tried turning off the power saving feature under power management, and adding the network address under advanced settings. Neither change worked. I've also installed the latest driver. Also, this is a wireless connection, so I have disabled the Realtek Lan adapter....
i cant install wireless network adapter i tried several drivers Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter Intel Wireless Drivers for Microsoft Windows 7 Intel Wireless Drivers, Intel PROSet, and Intel My WiFi for Microsoft Windows 7 Intel PROSet/Wireless WiMAX Software for Best Buy i tried installing them plus more but they dont seem to work so finding the suitable one?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI lost wi-fi internet on my Inspiron 1545, running Vista (6 or so years old). The network adapter was showing up as not installed or not working. I tried returning to earlier restore point. No good. System restore no good. Finally I reinstalled the Vista OS from disk that came with the laptop. But still no network adapter showing in Device Manager. When I insert Resource CD, the WLAN mini-cards are showing up as installed on the system, but no sign of them listed in Device Manager.
So my question is: how do I install the network adapter, or get the system to recognize it if it's there? There is nothing on the resource CD called "network adapter" to install, and I don't see anything like that to download here on the Dell site. Any thoughts?
Oh, I ran the system diagnostics on the Resource CD. In addition to the battery needing replacing (which I already knew) I got the following:
Error code 4400:011A
Msg: SCSI-0-000_DISK_GENERIC_MULTI-CARD-Target not ready
I've had my Inspiron N5030 for about 10 months now. I've been using the same wireless router for about 8 months with no problem up until a week or so ago. I started to intermittently have the limited connectivity issue. It would come and go. So I tried to unplug the wireless router and modem. After that it seemed to work okay but the next day I turned on my computer and it wasn't connected at all. It shows my network but when I try to connect it says that windows cannot connect to my network. I'm the person that set up the network so I have the correct key and code and it's worked fine for months so I'm not sure what's causing the issue. I've also tried resetting the router but that doesn't seem to work either. I have a ipod touch that's able to connect to the wireless fine though so whatever the issue is it seems to be with the laptop.

I just reinstalled windows 7 on dell inspiron 1525 and the wireless adapter isn't picking up any connections. When i troubleshoot the error it says 'turn wireless capability on' the switch on the laptop is on but the light isnt showing up on the laptop.
I checked device manager and there is dell wireless mini-card and it says it is working properly.
I got a second hand Dell Inspiron 1525 about 2 years ago, it was working fine till the hard drive stopped workinga few months ago. i got a new hard drive and put that in and loaded software and Vista OS.Now the wireless card won't recognize the adapter.I have tried all different ways and adapters and it still won't work.

When I go to the device manager I couldnt see any wireless adapters that need drivers.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI bought a new Dell D830 about three days ago for school. I connected to my schools wireless network just fine, and I did this for about two days until I headed back home.
Here we have a wired network and it even worked fine here for about a day. Now I cannot seem to connect to anything here.
I checked the modem, different cables, and I tried to run through the repair option but I still got the same message, 'There might be a problem with one or more network adapters on this computer'. I do have Vista on the computer but besides that the only things Ive loaded are Trend Micro and Mozilla.
Will it effect both wired and wireless networks on this computer?
This morning, i turned my laptop on, and i went to go onto facebook, but i cam into a problem. My wifi wasnt working. I searched around for a solution but couldnt find one. I found the problem though, [URL] .... there is a link to the problem. it seems that the problem is that the broadcom 802.11ac network adapter's drivers cannot be loaded.
I did a recovery from the 30th of january, when it was working, i reinstalled the drivers multiple times.
lan adapter disappeared (wifi is working fine) after w7 x64 fresh install.. I tried to: install all possible drivers; reinstall w7; ubuntu.. but the leds are just blinking and device manager finds nothing. Also i am missing drivers for:

i bought a acer laptop @ bestbuy and it came with preinstall vista home. i used the computer fine and all and the internet connects to my router find and was surfing the internet. i then decided to install a fresh copy of my own vista ultimate because i dont like the preinstall stuff that they did because it just clutters up space. after i finish my install of vista ultimate, my laptop doesn't connect to the internet. i know this is simply but i dont see network adapters under the device manager in the computer management screen. i am worried because if i have to install the driver, then i would see some icons with a yellow exclamation mark, but i dont see NETWORK ADAPTERS AT ALL. i dont know how to solve this? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks all. i've tried to press scan for new hardware changes but still i dont see the network adpaters. i thought if you install vista ultimate, then it will install the wireless drivers for you too.

View 3 Replies View Relatedtryed everything to get my network adapter to connect to my network cable. I reinstalled my network driver but the problem remains the same.
how to fix this network adapter issue?
Support guys told me to restore the computer an to earlier time using the System Restore feature, but I'd like to know if there's someething else i could do before that.
Recently my hard drive started to fail. I purchased a new drive, installed a Windows 7 ISO onto a flash drive, installed it etc. I have an HP G60-237NR. I was reinstalling everything, and then I went to the drivers page for my laptop. I started installing stuff, by that time I was bored so I was going sort of from the bottom up if that order matters, I can give more details on that if I need to. I downloaded the BIOS update, since I thought "Okay, it listed it for my computer, I probably do need to update it since my laptop's like 6 years old".
Flashed the BIOS, my computer shut down, and then didn't restart like I thought it was supposed to.I turned it on and got " 104- Unsupported wireless network device detected. System halted. Remove device and restart." I tried to look up what to do, what I found said remove the network card, downgrade bios, plug it back in and you're good. Well I unplugged my network card and the two snap on wires that attached it, did all the stuff, and restarted it. I got the same error.
I meant to say I plugged my network card back in, but still got the error. In case I had gotten the snaps on wrong, I switched the snaps and double checked the card connections, but still nothing. Everything I found said that should have worked, I'm on the same BIOS version I started with but it won't recognize my network adapter.
This is not "battery pluged-in not charging" issue. That issue is software related and can be easily changed the option whether Life or Health of battery you concerned by LEM. I'm one of Y580 owner that facing that issue that the laptop cannot detect the AC adaptor anymore after performing the Battery Guage Reset".
For example: URL...I was tring to search for the solution, but as you know there is nothing without send it back to service center. The tempolary solution I was using is,
1. Remove the battery (if laptop is powering on, then shutdown it first).
2. Remove the AC adaptor from wall ac receptacle.
3. Once the laptop is completely powered down, plug AC adaptor to your laptop and wall AC receptacle.
4. After a few second, insert battery back into the Laptop. And then, the battery will be chaged as usaul.
5. You need to repeat step 1-4 above every time you unpluged the AC adaptor.
By the way, I have been living with that issue for almost 2 years, until it was already out of waranty in June 2014. So rightnow, I can do whatever I want without worrying the waranty. I was trying to teardown my Y580 to find the dead components. I gusted that the issue may be from charging circuit. Afetr opened the chassis, I found that the Y580 uses BQ24737 from TI to be the charging controller.
I cannot found the BQ24737's datasheet, but I was using BQ24735 instead, since, they have the same pinout with difference in optional functions. I found it. The dead one is the input MOSFET. It's shorted between Drain and Source!. That lets the voltage from AC adapter directly connected to Battery. And then, the AC adapter will be tripped with over current protection and the voltage is held to near zero. That's why we cannot plug the ac adapter with battery inserted for this case.
So far, after I replaced it with the similar rating MOSFET from old laptop, it works!. So, I can plug to charge my laptop as it should be without problem.the actual circuit shound not be exactly the same with datasheet. For the Y580, the input MOSFET (Q1 in datasheet and PQ302 in Y580) is P-Channel (AO4423), and it has the external circuitry to dive that MOSFET instead of U1. send it to service center to replace the new motherboard. If not, and you have electronic/soldring skill, you can do it by your self.
Tools needed,
1. Soldering iron (it will be easier for removing part from PCB, if you have 2 of them).
2. Equivalent electrical rating MOSFET.
3. Multimeter.
The different model, different location. Anyway, you can check whether it is the right MOSFET that need to be replace by,
1. Disconnect battrey from labtop
2. Using multumeter (ohm function) to measure the resistance between pin Drain and Source of the MOSFETs. The dead one must has very low D to S resistance (near 0Ohm) for both direction (D(+)<-->S(-) and D(-)<-->S(+)).
3. Search for the dead MOSFET's datasheet and then find/cross the new one from local supplier.
4. Just replace with the good one.
I've downgrade my pc from windows 8 to windows 7 professional 64 bit. I found all the drivers except the one which controls wifi. I need that driver so my pc can recognize the wireless card..

Other devices do connect. If I change my router to 802.11g, but change no other settings at all, the HP doe connect. But if I flip the router back to 802.11n, the HP sees the network and correctly identifies it as an 802.11n network, but will not connect. The Router is a D-Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4ghz).
