I got a second hand Dell Inspiron 1525 about 2 years ago, it was working fine till the hard drive stopped workinga few months ago. i got a new hard drive and put that in and loaded software and Vista OS.Now the wireless card won't recognize the adapter.I have tried all different ways and adapters and it still won't work.
View 5 RepliesI just reinstalled windows 7 on dell inspiron 1525 and the wireless adapter isn't picking up any connections. When i troubleshoot the error it says 'turn wireless capability on' the switch on the laptop is on but the light isnt showing up on the laptop.
I checked device manager and there is dell wireless mini-card and it says it is working properly.
im having a problem with my 1525 inspiron laptop, which i have had for a couple of years. The problem started when installed windows 7. My wireless minicard stops working anytime i try playing an online game. The mouse starts freezing and then the wireless card would stop working. The only way can it working again is to reboot the laptop or put it to sleep the start it up again.

Stupid thing, I was told the graphic card in there supports OpenGL. The thing is, it supports it "partially".
I just purchased an Inspiron 1525 Laptop it came with the 1505 Wireless N-MINI card. I have a wireless network with the Linksys Model# WRK54G. This network is secured.
I set up connection as WPA-Personal with TKIP, this mirrors my Dell desktop that connects, however it is a G level wireless card. I can not connect to the network even though the signal is excellent.
It may be obvious the fact that the wireless card in the laptop is an N an the router is a G. Will this work or do I have to get the 1395 802 11G Mini wireless card
So I've had this laptop for over 5 years now (Dell Inspiron 1525) & about 2 years ago I put Windows 7 on it(the laptop came with vista). I haven't had any problem with it up until November of 2012. The problem I'm having is my wireless connection get's dropped constantly. Randomly & especially if I'm watching a video online. It does it on every browser. And I cannot reconnect to my WIFI without restarting my computer or putting it in hibernate mode & resuming windows.
It actually stopped for a month & is now back worse than it was before. I contacted Dell & they ran a diagnostic with me & said I needed to change my hard drive. So I have(this was 4 days ago) & the problem is still occurring. I've taken it to geeksquad even & had them run diagnostics & they said they found nothing either. I can't seem to find a solution.

The stuttering sound happens when I'm playing any kind of audio. If I'm not playing audio, the stutter wont occur but the wireless signal will drop. I've also looked into the device manager & I found this.
I have Inspiron 1525. I want to add a graphic card to it. Is it possible to add a graphics card? If possible mention which graphic card will support. I want to play fifa 13. with out graphic card it is not possible.

While I tried to install the drivers, the drivers suitable, as identified by dell software, was for ethernet and none of the wireless/bluetooth drivers where selected as suitable. View 6 Replies View RelatedI have an xps12 that doesn't recognise its adaptor, runs fine on AC but batter is now totally dead. I tried a different Dell 45W adaptor (borrowed) and it charged the battery, I then bought a cheaper 3rd part adaptor - which also worked for a week or so.
Now am back to unrecognised adaptor, no charging. BIOS is version AO8 but even if there is an update I can't install since my battery is on zero. Battery utility (Fn F3) indicates my battery is healthy and performing normally, but charging is disabled and I don't see any obvious way to enable it.

I didn't notice until the low battery warning came on that the computer had stopped recognizing the battery or the charger. I rebooted and went on BIOS, I don't know much, but I noted that it didn't see an adapter plugged in and it said that the battery is functioning normally. I've plugged the adapter into other laptops and it worked so it isn't the adapter.

Due to some problem with its internal wireless device, I decide to buy a DLink DWL-AG660 wireless cardbus adapter from the net..
When the card arrived, I try to install it & unfortunately, it cant fit in...I google the net & just found out that the AG660 is using a 32 bit pcmcia card bus adapter & my inspiron 1420 is equipped with (maybe) an express card slot..

It recognized the intel wireless from the beginning under hardware however even after installing all those files and rebooting I can't get it to recognize the switch is turned on for the wireless. In smartwi it says they are turned off. Is there a software way of turning them on?

My workplace installed a router a few months ago. It's a Cisco E2000. My laptop will not recognize the wireless signal from the router. It recognizes about 10 other wireless signals from other locations outside the office. My phone also recognizes the router and can connect to it no problem. I've installed all the updates for Windows 7 and for the HP laptop. I've also installed the latest driver for the wifi card in the laptop.
Why the laptop does not recognize the wifi?
My Dell 1505 wireless N card is a constant headache, If I hide my ssid the card detects and connects to my router but I can never access the internet. It may work sometimes but most of the time my SSID has to be on.
I have tested this with two different routers and the results were the same, vista shows local access only

my new T440p with built-in WWAN Ericsson N5321gw doesn't recognize the SIM-Card. I'm running Win7 64 Bit and in the device manager, I can see the Ericsson device showing up without any errors. Once I launche Access Connections, I receive the error message there's no SIM card inserted and I should insert the SIM and try again. The SIM is inserted as shown next to the slot (although I tried other ways, too). I tried two different SIM-cards just to be safe, both SIM-cards are working in my phone.
