Just installed Windows 7 64 bit and now i've discovered that nightmare, I8kfanGUI won't install! (I need it to turn my fans to full when im gaming)
I've found the 64 bit version on the website but when I install it I get the following error
had anybody successfully installed i8kfangui on 64 bit vista ?
I just reinstalled my system and i can't seem to install since fanio.sys driver refuses to install. I've tried the suggested solution (Ready Driver Plus) but windows didn't even boot with it.
Question to owners of XPS M1710 - does I8kfangui works fine with this laptop ? Can I use it safety ?

1730 users, do you use this program on your laptop? i used it on my 1705, installed on my 1730, and i had to reinstall my audio drivers, dont know what happened there. anyway, does the bios (a03) do a good enough job on its own of keeping the temps on the sli cards down? or do you guys recommend using this program or any other? also, do you know which fan cools the gpu? the first or second?

I had it on my i9300 and since the hard drive failed on me, I no longer have it. I don't even know of a working location to download it from.
I have recently installed Vista x64 and downloaded i8kfangui correspondent version but I just can't get the darn thing to install.
I've already tried to disable driver signature enforcing both via bcdedit prompt command and gpedit.msc option, but Vista x64 keeps blocking the installation of the fanio.sys driver wich is used by i8kfangui.
How do I get I8kfanGUI to work with vista 64bit? im having heat problems and i cleaned and re applied the thermal paste and still my cpu fan dont come on until my cpu is at 74c and that dont take long for it to hit that temp. gpu also is always between 54c to 64c on idle.

I could not install windows 7 because of the above subject. I tried to load drivers for RAID installation it says the specified location does not contain information about your hardware. Although i have downloaded the driver from intel website (the link you have provided).

I have an acer laptop e1-571 with windows 8. the mb failed ordered a new one installed it. on boot now i get no bootable device. The bios shows the hard drive and its the first in the boot order. If i hit f12 after powering on to access boot options the 3rd choice is efi device windows boot manager. If i select that it boots normally and runs fine. is their a way to boot the machine without having to hit f12 every time and selecting efi device to boot to windows? i tried updating the bios as well.Â

But unfornately i have failed to install OS (XP) on my laptop which came with pre-installed Windows Vista.
