HP 15 - G029wm OS/Software :: Built In Shockwave Flash Player Not Working

I can't play most games as it says shockwave flash player needs installed / update, this player was built into my computer when I bought it. I've tried updating doesn't work. Try fixing it and the shockwave player is enabled. The Media Suite is up to date and I've updated the BIOS today, still can't play games, only a few. ( Games from AOL, Pogo, I can't play hardly any games like bingo newer versions and no casino games on the other sites).

Also how can update the Adobe?

As the thread title states, certain websites that use Flash player *consistently* cause my browser to crash on my Sony Vaio VGN-Z27GN.
This happens whether I use Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome. I know the problem is specific to my laptop because those sites load just fine on my FW .....

I keep getting an Acer pop-up that says "Please Download Latest Version of Flash Player". I have updated adobe flash player and that didn't work? Its an Acer Aspire 5733 purchased new less than one year ago.

when i click on the link to play the jvc everio demo video , it keep saying i need adobe flash player 8.0 or higher , but i have installed the latest version 10.0.32.18, 3 times and i still get the message.
I have tried firefox and safari and still get the message to upgrade.

i installed a logitech speaker for my sony laptop, and when i was installing it, i think i accidentally deleted the program that works the built-in speaker. I was wondering if there's anyway i can get my built-in speaker working again.

I have an HP laptop.
Model: G72-B6OUS
Serial: SCB1012PGL
When I put a DVD into the laptop it doesn't play. I tried Windows Media Player, QuikTime and Real Player with no success.
When I go to Device Manager I see Device Status: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

I have a late 2007 MacBook Pro - 2.2ghz C2D (first gen with LED backlit screen). I have problems running internet games. Particularly, I have bad performance with Pogo.com and iSketch.net.
Pogo.com uses Java for its web-based games. I like to play WordWhomp, but it's annoying on my MBP. When I type, there is so much lag that half the time certain keystrokes get dropped. Also, all of the animations on the page are very slow.
iSketch.net is a Shockwave game that is very similar to pictionary. I notice two issues when playing this game: 1. when I'm drawing pictures, if I try to draw a continuous line I get a spinning beachball, which makes it difficult to know exactly where my cursor is, and 2. the game causes my battery to drain in about an hour, versus the usual three hours I get doing various tasks, and causes the computer to become SCORCHING hot.
I know this seems ridiculous, but I'm concerned because my 2.0 C2D PC laptop and 1.6 Pentium M PC laptop both run these games without a hitch and do so with MINIMAL impact on battery life and heat.

I recently downgraded my Windows 8 HP 15-g029wm Notebook to Windows 7 Ultimate. Of course this has caused issues with drivers, and the Windows 7 64-bit drivers listed on HP's website for my laptop do not work properly. Currently the laptop does not recognize any USB device and I am unable to connect to the Internet, making it difficult to run any diagnostics to obtain information needed to find the best drivers for my system. Where can I find drivers for my laptop that will allow it to function properly?

I received a e6410 laptop through ma company. XP is installed on it. My problem: the webcam is not working.
So, first I download and install the latest driver from the dell website. But there was an error during the installation.
Then I look in the device manager and no webcam is present at all. So it's seems to be an hardware problem.
So I go to the bios and look for an option to activate it but there is no option in the dell bios...
a way to have my webcam detected by the system)

I have a Yoga 13 and have been avoiding the 8.1 update but was forced upon me yesterday. Media player stopped working but found the update on this site.
However all old videos now play fine but new ones taken today will not and just says 'Windows Media Player has stopped working'.

The built-in camera on my T-530 is not working. I made a thread about it on Microsoft's support site, but I haven't been able to resolve the issue. [URL] ....
When I try to capture video with a program, All I get is this symbol:
It does this with every program I've tried including Camera, Windows Movie Maker, and Skype. The programs can still record videos and save them, but the only thing that appears in them is this symbol.
I've tried changing my permission settings. I can give skype permission to use the built-in camera, but it doesn't work. For whatever reason I don't have to option to give permission to Camera or to Movie Maker.
I've also reinstalled the driver for my camera. Then I ran the Lenovo Solution Center and Lenovo Thinkvantage System Update and updated everything I could.
Based on the advice I got from Microsoft tech support I have run the hardware trouble shooter, installed all the Windows updates I could get, reinstalled the built-in camera driver in compatibility mode and updated my BIOS driver.
After all of that, it still doesn't work.

Applied 7CCN35WW over the 34 firmware. Veriface stopped working, says there's no camera present even though camera is present in Device manager. Skype is not working either, says camera is used by another process even after a fresh restart.

I have a Compaq Presario CQ56-115dx and an HP 16gb flash drive that will not work with the computer. The flash drive works with my HP Pavilion laptop, but not with the Compaq. I have a 4gb HP flash drive that works with the computer just fine, along with a few SanDisk ones. I don't think that it's the USB drivers because my other flash drives work with the computer just fine. I really need to use the flash drive to back up information from the Compaq computer.

Got an Acer Aspire 8920, bought last august,I got it hooked up to a Sanyo hdtv via hdmi at the highest resolution, Ive played one blu ray before just to test it [ the incredible hulk] and it worked fine, but that was the only time i played blu ray..... yesterday was the first time i bought blu rays for it though [pitch black and chronicles of riddick] excited i put it in asked me for updates which i did and bam played it but when id go to full screen it would startlike flashing [like the screen goin on n off... you could still see the image but it with the flashin in between] n then it crashed so when ibooted it up again it wouldnt play it would just stay in a black screen
So reading around and people were talking about the area changing it from A to B so i did, and seemed to be reading the disc again, but the flashing kept happening...its like watching a video game goin at a lower framerate, it just keep flashin n jumping from scene to scene
so i kept reading and found that the acer arcade delux might be the problem so i read that powerdvd is the best player...went, bought it installed, not only crashes on me sometimes, but when it gets to play, again when i put it in full screen, gives me the same flashing tried at a lower resolution i get the same thing

I have a dv5 1010tx (Vista Ultimate 64), which has an Optiarc BC 5500s Blu-ray player/ DVD burner combo. I have found the burner has trouble reading DVD'S it has burned, especially DL. Have tried different media, even Verbatim. My toshiba laptop seems to read these disks with ease, so I suspect it's a firmware issue. Has anyone else had this problem, & has anyone found a solution. No reply from my enquiry to HP as yet, & the firmware updates provided on the Optiarc site are said to be not compatible with drives installed by HP, Dell ect. I also note this was a problem with the BC 5600s, for which HP provided a firmware update earlier this year.

problem with my Dv9000. When I go to play a DVD it plays but very choppy like a scratched disk. I have tried many other DVD's and they all play this way. The movie seems to be going and stopping constantly. I have checked the processor and ram and they are not even being put under and load so I know it is not that. At least I think. I have also tried to use different programs to play the movies and the same thing. Could I have a bad dvd-rw drive?

I have heard the TEAC's are a decent upgrade.

My Acer Aspire One (AOD150-1165) came with Windows Media Player 9 installed.
#1-Can I update that to Windows Media Player 10, OR, Windows Media Player 11?
#2- If yes, which one? (Would 10 be better?)
#3- Or would both, either, of them be too large for this AAO?
#4- If I can update to 10 (or 11), where would the best place to get the download?
#5- Would 10 or 11 OVER-WRITE version 9 (which is now on the AAO)?
#6- Why was such an 'old' version 9 installed on this AAO?

I bought a new Dell Inspiron 3520 in November 2012 with Windows 8. Since then, I have been trying to use the CD/DVD player but unable to do so. When I insert a disc in the drive, nothing happens. Whether it is music CD or data CD, nothing happens. Am I supposed to do anything different?

when 3G for the Acer Aspire One is finally offered, new models, of course, will have 3G capability built in. Does anybody have a guess as to what kind of modification or accessory we will be able to use to get 3G on existing AAOs.
I would rather not have to go the route of the ATT USB DataConnect thingy, but will if I have to.

I have a dell inspiron e1705, and my dvd player is not playing the dvd at certain points on it.
i tried playing it in another dvd player of mine, and it worked fine. is it my computer, or hardware/software?...
it makes sounds like it is trying to read it... made sure to clean off the disc {did it several times}. this is not the first time that this has happened either...
