I don't know how to move a PDF document from the Windows 8 Reader to the printer? If I download a document from the Internet the Windows 8 Reader takes over and there is no choice for "print document" in the Reader. How do you have documents not go to the Reader automatically?
I have a HP 2000 Notebook PC Windows 8.
I have a user with a v515 printer connected by USB cable to a Latitude 5530 laptop. He's running Windows 7 32-bit.
His printer will print one document, and that comes out fine, but it won't print anything else until he reboots the computer. The second document goes into the queue and says "printing" but nothing happens. I tried restarting the print spooler, uninstalling and reinstalling the software and updating the firmware but nothing has worked.
I have to setup a finger printer reader to sign in to windows 8 through finger print authentication.
I have installed the finger print sensor driver version 4.4.234 . Hp simple pass version 6.0.100.276.
I thing All drivers and sample pass software are upto date.
But i am trying from three days. its giving an error

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a couple issues with moving Win7 Pro from my HD to my new mSATA. I have an E520, 1143 FU3 (?), 500gb hd, Win7 Pro. I added a 120gb mSATA SSD.
I first thought I would clone the drive to the new one, but had trouble getting the used space small enough. Then I thought I would do a factory install, but can't seem to get that to work either.
First of all, I made recovery disks back when I first got the computer. But I can't find a way to use the data on the disks. They are not bootable. So If I remove my old hard drive so I can install to the new one, how do I boot? I made a boot disk from Lenovo Recovery, but it doesn't boot to a command prompt, just into the program, which doesn't seem to be able to use my recovery disks, it wants something else. How do I restore my computer back to factory defaults? The recovery system won't let me make new disks, its says this can only be done once.
Also, I have been removing things from the hard drive so it will fit to clone to the new 120gb drive. I seemed to be unable to get the drive to be less than 130gb, even though I had removed almost everything except Windows. I was checking the size by looking at the drive properties in Windows. Now I noticed that if I check the properties of each item, directories and files, on the C:, the total size is only about 60gb. Does that mean I can clone the drive, and the drive properties is reporting the used space incorrectly, or am I missing something? Even with the "Q:" (Lenovo_Recovery) added on, I should still be well under my 111gb on the new drive.
I have just purchased a Yoga 2 13.3 with 500GB HD and a 25GB SSD drive.
I have noticed that the system is a bit slow because the Window 8.1 is installed on the mechanical Hard Drive instead of the Flash SSD drive.
How can I move the Windows 8.1 installation to the SSD drive. I have a 25GB empty drive.
How to move your Users folder to a different drive in Windows 8 (very straightforward) and Windows 7 (a bit more difficult). You need two drives or one partitioned drive.

I performed a windows 7 clean install on my vaio (VPCEB11FX).
After that i installed the drivers properly.In Device manager i am able to see the MMC card reader and SD reader with respective path letters.

Just purchased an Inspiron 15 laptop with Windows 8. I removed the hard disk drive from our old Inspiron 6000, installed it in an enclosure, and hooked it to the new laptop to be able to access the document files. (The hdd from the old computer is a Western Digital 250 GB and was newly installed six months ago).
When I plug in the enclosure, the power light comes on and it shows up on the new laptop as local disk E. When I click on disk E and go to documents, the only documents shown are three that are saved on the new laptop, and none of the hundreds of documents saved on the hdd from the old computer. What I can do?

I have a Dell Inspiron 15r and a Dell v313w I purchased in November 2010, both are wireless and connected through a gateway/router that have been very great over the years but about a year or so ago I noticed each time I would try to print out multiple documents I could only get one document to print out, it could include one sheet or many sheets . Any others documents would be stuck in the print queue listed as " printing " but would never print out unless I restarted the computer then it would print out all documents one after another just as they had been entered complete with all sheets per document accounted for and in correct order.
After the printer had finished printing all the documents if I needed to print another document I would have the same headache all over again and the document would remain in the queue until I restarted the computer again.I'm not a spring chicken by any means and have to think logically went operating the computer or installing software so many of the technical jargon is something I really don't understand.
I am trying to set this laptop up with win 7 64 bit. cant get drivers for it. got it down to missing sm controller.

I tried adjusting the power settings to never enter sleep as one person suggested, but that didn't work. So just now I rebooted and then plugged it into my tv using the hdmi and the sound stopped and I had to reboot. I am connecting it to the same tv using the same hdmi cable as many times before.

I use it with windows 8. my laptop was getting heated up a lot. i used sppedfan to test it. temperatures were showing around 83 degree celsius. I took it to a shop and they said some error with heat sink IC and replaced it. Now the temp is ranging between 65-70 degree celsius. is it okay? HDD temp is ~40 deg celsius. I use my laptop always on bed or lap. is a cooling pad must?
P.S. the reason why i took it for servicng is that it showed thermal shutdown messages everytime i was rebooting it.

It is labeled in Device Manager: 1-STD HDMI TV (AMD High Definition Audio)
The monitor and hdmi cable work fine with other computers. I have disabled/enabled the HDMI device, and also updated drivers (Windows says my drivers are up to date).
I moved from Windows 8 to WIndows 7 Home Premium (64 bit) early-on and I've managed to get everything working EXCEPT my built in web cam.
