HP 2000 Audio :: Laptop Windows 8 Sound Keeps Going Off
Jan 2, 2014Over the past few weeks, my sound has been going off and I don't know why. Rebooting makes the sound work again. I tried adjusting the power settings to never enter sleep as one person suggested, but that didn't work. So just now I rebooted and then plugged it into my tv using the hdmi and the sound stopped and I had to reboot. I am connecting it to the same tv using the same hdmi cable as many times before.

HP 2000-2312TU :: Laptop Overheating Running Windows 8
Jun 12, 2014i am using a Hp 2000-2312TU laptop. It is just about 15 months old. I use it with windows 8. my laptop was getting heated up a lot. i used sppedfan to test it. temperatures were showing around 83 degree celsius. I took it to a shop and they said some error with heat sink IC and replaced it. Now the temp is ranging between 65-70 degree celsius. is it okay? HDD temp is ~40 deg celsius. I use my laptop always on bed or lap. is a cooling pad must?
P.S. the reason why i took it for servicng is that it showed thermal shutdown messages everytime i was rebooting it.

When trying to play a dvd a message appears---------- " Windows cannot access the specified device path. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access this item. "
I have uninstalled the drive thus it being reinstalled on windows restart. I used to get a flag asking what program to open with. Now to see "cd" must open in my computer. I am using Google chrome.

The monitor and hdmi cable work fine with other computers. I have disabled/enabled the HDMI device, and also updated drivers (Windows says my drivers are up to date).

I reformatted the computer and get into Windows with no problem. I got all of the driver updates that the HP Update Center said it needed. I then proceed to get updates for the Win8 OS itself.. they download, install, and upon reboot I get the message...

So I reformatted the computer again (very time consuming with Win8 IME) and the same thing happens all over again....

Aug 18, 2014In November of 2012, my husband bought me an HP 2000-2b09 laptop (Windows 8 came with it). Anyways, a few months after my husband bought the computer, Windows 8 began slowing my computer down causing it to crash. A friend of ours had a copy of Windows 7, so I out that on there. It worked fine for almost a year until about a week or so ago. My computer somehow got Trojan and Malware viruses that I couldn't get rid of it no matter how hard I tried. That slowed my computer down dramatically.
So bad that I can't even play games on it anymore (I'm a huge Sims fan). I recently tried putting Windows 7 on it again. It worked, but the only issue is, it won't allow me to connect to the internet. I need to install the drivers for it, but I need to be connected to the internet to do it. Is there a way for me to get Windows 8 back on it without buying it? I don't have the money to buy that either. My sister purchased a "Windows Recovery Disk" for my father a few months back. I want to borrow it, but I'm not sure it would recover Windows 8.

Jul 25, 2013We have purchased an HP Pavilion G6 2300st to our parents with Windows 8 installed. Unfortunately, they are having diffuculties to use Windows 8. So I thought that we need to downgrade to the windows 7.
I tried to install Windows 7 last night and I wasn't be able to do so because of Legacy Support and UEFI etc.
After that, little search on the web and I think I will be able to install windows 7 now. However, when I was searching on the web I realized there are many people have the same problem includign drivers problems. Then I find out that G6 2300st does not have W7 drivers.
I found someone here downgrade the G6-2306el to W7 in link. [URL] ......
