View 1 RepliesWhen friends send videos I cannot always watch them as the screen turns green. The sound continues to play but there are no visuals.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've noticed when playing vidoes, the video frames update at a slower pace to the point where it feels that movie is being played in slow motion. Sometimes this conditions stays longer other for few minutes. It does not make any differene if I am streaming or playing a movie stored on the HD (machine doesn't have CD drive).
I've ensure there are no other apps running that might seep power away from main processor/RAM or video processor. All the drivers are latest & greatest and I don't see any warnings anywhere in the system manager.
It has Win 8 and Intel HD Graphics 4000 with 1.6G of video RAM which seems decent enough to play a video file smoothly.
AMD Athlon 64 X2 L310
ATI HD 3200
4GB RAM
Everything is up to date... drivers, flash, etc... all the latest.
I can't watch 720p videos on youtube... 95%+ CPU usage.. stuttering.. etc...

How does that guy with asus 1201n netbook outperform my laptop? I realize my laptop's specs aren't the best, but with flash 10.1 it should be able to handle youtube hd without any problems right?
Whenever I play HD videos in youtube, they lag a lot on my dv5t. The lagging is even more obvious when it's full screen. I noticed that everytime I play a HD video from youtube, my CPU usage shoots up to more than 90%. Does anyone else have this problem?
My brand new dv5t has a 526 MB GPU, 2.4GHz CPU and 3 gig of RAM. I do have quite a slow internet connection though. But I let the video load completely every time before I play it, I don't see the internet connection is the reason for my problem. And why such high CPU usage?
I've noticed lately that embedded YouTube videos aren't working in Mobile Safari. Now, I know that the iPhone doesn't have flash, but there is an embedded video player that works with mpg videos (HTML5 sites seem to work fine) as well as YouTube. That way you can just click the video in a website and it will open up the standard video player. But none of those work for me on the iPhone.
I also know that not all YouTube videos are properly encoded for the iPhone. But these are videos that work fine in the YouTube app, their thumbnail just won't load in Mobile Safari for me to click. I get the gray box with the line through the play button instead. What's worse, is there are now sites where this happens that I know for a fact used to work fine. But now I can't get a single embedded YouTube video to work on my iPhone. Is anyone else having this problem? Maybe you could go to a site on your iPhone where the embedded video does work and I can check to show you the problem.
I'm using a 3GS with 3.1.2.
I am using a PC Pavilion G6 on Windows 8 and I am having troubles with playing sound. I use Youtube regularly to watch vidoes, and when I press play, it takes about 20 seconds for the sound to work. I thought it could possibly be Youtube, but I'm experiencing the same issue on other sites.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIve had my Hp 15 notebook pc for about three days now. The first day i watched a youtube video and netflix perfectly fine, but i cannot say the same for the last two days. The second day i tried to watch something on youtube and it showed a green screen. I thought it was just the video so i clicked on the next video, it was also green. I turned on my NFL sports videos and same thing there, so i think it may be the Notebook.

View 5 Replies View Relatedi have recently purchased and HP Envy 17 laptop and have been trying to backup all of my iphone 5s photos and videos onto thelaptop however everytime i try to play videos either through the photos folder or the photos library app nothing works. In the photo app the app just freezes and crashes and in the photos documents folder media player just comes up not responding. This hapens with the vast majority of my videos i have seen that other people have had the same issure and i have installed the VLC video app as suggested and still nothing works.
there has been an IOS update since i started taking videos however this makes no diffeence as the handful of videos that do work are from both before and after the update so it can not be an issue with my phone and the videos i have taken in the last few days dont work.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter playing a game my screen remained stretched, horizontally stretched out. Normally my screen went back to normal after closing the game(Rollercoaster Tycoon 3), but this time it somehow got stuck or something. I checked the resolution: it's 1024x768 like it always was, so that's not the problem. When I "print screen", the image is just normal on other computers, so I think it may be the driver? Do I have to download NVIDIA Driver? I tried that, but it says the driver is not compatible with my hardware.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought new Dell E4300 with 7200 rpm harddisk. Notebook is nice except one problem I have - every 2 seconds or more (this differes a lot on resources usage) movies or music stops playing for a very short time ... simply said playing isn't smooth.
I think it could be a HDD problem so I run HDTune benchmark.
Here is the result ... while I didn't make 15 posts I can't post a link (!@#$@$@#) anyway I think the result shouldn't look like this:

Almost in every low point of the graph the video or music stopped playing for a very short time (300-600ms) and that is very annoying.
I think it could be a hdd problem or maybe CPU problem that affects the hdd results as well, because the mouse pointer also stops moving for a while.
I'm interested to hear from those who are experimenting with Windows 7 on their Studio XPS laptops have you had any issues with drivers or anything, is everything working ok?
Also what program do you recommend for dual booting say vista as your primary os and then a partition for windows 7?
I'm new to experimenting with beta OS's but I most certainly will have a look into windows 7.
I bought the Mini 9 with only 512MB of RAM because Dell wanted $25 for 1GB, which is the price of 2GB. I'm just waiting for prices to drop/rebates before ordering 2GB.
I am running the bloatware infested stock software and I noticed stuttering when playing YouTube videos via IE. IE takes up 50%-70% of CPU time for some odd reason. I fired up my Dimension and my Studio 15 only to find at MOST 20% CPU time using either IE or FireFox.
Does anyone else have the same problem? What did you do to fix it? I plan to do a clean install of XP SP-3 once I get a IDE/USB adapter to run an optical drive

The Red panels on the lid are actually colour changing.
I've recently purchased an Acer Aspire Timeline 1810TZ. I've removed all the bloatware, updated all drivers (including graphics, chipset, sound) and upgraded to latest BIOS.
It plays 1080p videos stored on the network absolutely perfectly, but it is jerky when playing YouTube 1080p content. It just about handles 720p YouTube. (I've tried both Flash 10 on IE and 10.1 on FF/Chrome). It runs iPlayer HD and Vimeo HD fine.
Has anyone else who has an 1810TZ managed to get YouTube HD working smoothly?
If not, is there anything else I can try and do we think that the final build of Flash 10.1 will improve things? Would a fourth gig of ram help?
I've purchased a HP Pavilion 15-n011tu Notebook. I'm unable to install display driver for WIndows 8 (64bit). I've tried all 3 drivers given on HP site.
1.NVIDIA Graphics Driver (2013-10-02 , Version9.18.13.1170, 318.33M)
2.AMD High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver (2013-08-16 , Version12.105.9.0, 204.81M)
3.Intel High-Definition (HD) Graphics Driver (2013-08-16 , Version9.18.10.3224, 136.34M)
I noticed the display automatically adjust its brightness when I open different webpages with different color background, which I'd rather it not do. How to disable this dynamic adjustment?

My new VAIO Z crashes on Youtube vids that are 1080p...
When I first got the Z and tried some vids on YT it crashed right away (leaving me with a blank screen and awkward noise).
I then did a clean install of windows 7, but no luck, still crashes on youtube 1080p vids.
I really dont understand it, but e.g. Avatar in BD quality (14 gigs) doesnt crash whatsoever.
I use my laptop almost everyday, and it has been fine up until today. I have an HP Envy dv4. I rarely shut it down--I usually just close the lid and leave it like that until I'm ready to use it again. Today, when I opened it and logged in, I went to Youtube. However, no sound will play. I didn't have this problem the last time I used the PC, and can't figure out what's wrong. I don't have any sound with headphones plugged in, and I don't have any sound when I try to use just the PC speakers.
I've already made sure the sound is definitely on--I have muted it and unmuted it several times, raised and lowered the volume by using the f9 and f10 keys, and nothing happens. I've tried playing media that is stored on my PC, and no sound there either. I've also tried using Rosetta Stone, and it won't open because it says it can't find any sound output.
I have restarted the computer several times, scanned for viruses, and scanned for updates. Nothing has worked.
