View 3 RepliesAfter booting from the XP SP3 disk, I could format the Vista partition and the laptop re-booted after copying the installation files. After boot-up and the Windows XP screen, came the installation screen. The laptop stut down after about a minute on this screen. I tried again but to the same effect.
The disk is ok and there is no disk read error.
My windows package died on my hp nx6325 recently, and as I had purchased the machine secondhand, from a private seller now unavailable for comment or advice, I stripped the partition clean, then installed another windows xp build...
I have re-installed the drivers for the touchpad, graphics, broadcom wirelass card...but the audio drivers fail to install and give me sound, because they all get stuck at the end of the installation routine and present me with an error of
'unable to find HDA ausdio bus driver'
To remedy this problem, i read that I should install a separate HP driver called
sp26334. But when I try to install that, i am connected to the HP area online, and then told that as I do not have the same XP operating system that my laptop was originally sold with, that the installation process is now aborted.
I format my laptop and installed Windows XP Pro. But I coudnt find drivers for Audio. Where to Find the Sound drivers.

i just bought a fatal1ty headset and now im experiencing some minor problems with my sound. obviously the soundcard makes them since i installed the newest software and drivers for the headset.
until now i was using the driver i got from my notebook's download page by HP, version 5.10.1.5220 from 05.02.2008.
now i looked through the net and found quite a lot of these soundmax drivers, but im not sure which one to take..
i learned that the 6.### drivers are for vista, and the 5.10.02.### drivers are for xp x64. so i need a 5.10.1.#### one, preferably newer than 5220. now on the page i found them (www.versiontracker.com), there are quite a lot of these drivers (218 to be exact) and sorting them by the release date confuses me a bit, since the newest 5.10.1.#### driver is 5.10.1.5860, but a bit earlier 5.10.1.6110 was released. so which is the newest one?
and all are from 2008.. are there really no newer ones? on the official soundmax page there are none, even no support section.
the device id is HDAUDIOFUNC_01&VEN_11D4&DEV_1981&SUBSYS_103C30C5& REV_10024&1D8C0F4E&0&0001, since one cannot identify the exact device from the name...
My computer is HP Compaq 7900p small. I bought new graphics card which is Asus AMD HD6450. When I test it I saw problem - no sound.
When I click on Sounds tab, I see that AMD HDMI Output-AMD High Definition Audio Device - not plugged in and I couldn't change it to default device. When I troubleshooted it, problem was that one or more audio devices isn't running.
I was searched in google for solution, and found it that I need to change in BIOS from DVI port to HDMI port, but in my comp BIOS version is 7.11 and I don't see where it would be changed.
Only what I did was that I swapped integrated audio to enabled then I get sound from my speakers, but AMD High Definition Audio Device still isn't plugged in. How to change it to default!
I have updated all my audio and video drivers and when I play a game my audio is great with the subwoofer, but when I play a movie it has very bad audio.
It began with media center, then media player, and finally power dvd. What should I do?
I'm sure it has nothing to do with the storm.
I'm looking for audio drivers that have stereo mix and hdmi audio output.
I'm currently using an old sigmatel audio driver meant to for windows XP on windows 7RC.
I'm looking for a driver that will work in basically all versions on windows (I have XPPROx86 VistaUltimatex64 and Windows7x64 installed)
i downloaded the xps m1330 drivers as the audio is the same but when i try and install says not supported.
is there a inf file that doesnt list the 1530?
or has anyone found a work around?
i had to go to vista so i could get some sound. otherwise everything else installs
Been trying to get some audio drivers for a 4315 with XP Pro OS.
One's tried so far are,
Audio_Realtek_v6.0.1.5413_R167_XP_Vista
Audio_Azalia_v.5.10.0.5443
downloaded these from the acer site still not working, pretty sure it needs a realtek driver, is there a patch or something else needed?
Recently 2 weeks back I have bought HP 15-R074TU laptop free dos. I have installed windows7 64 bit. And other required softwares, I have problems with audio which is very low. Video display is not proper, movies are not comfortable to watch without any reason get stucks. I have installed HP recommended video and audio driver but still having problems.
Audio and video drivers for HP 15-R074TU model....
I can't play movies without them making distorted audio. All my drivers are solid, and I use powerdvd and media player.
if you try to play it in media center it does not know there is a dvd in the drive.
When updating to Windows 7 the audio drivers look like the right ones for the studio 15 or any with the IDT,
it is not it is generic and you will need the updated driver from the Dell support site, it adds the surround and bass that will be missing and I noticed a big difference.
Hi, I posted a thread a few days ago about a freezing problem my computer had. Thanks to some advice from someone on this bored, the problem is fixed.
I re-formmated my computer and re-installed windows. Now I don't know how to re-install my drivers (audio and such...) or re-connect to the internet.
The laptop is a TravelMAte 7250.

I just had to reformat my DV1000 due to a corrupt Windows XP installation. I downloaded the drivers from the HP website but they will not install, it just says FAILURE at the end of attempting to install them.
The p/n of my laptop is ED338AV.
I have an ACER Aspire 9413 (9410 Series) laptop..
After a little problems i decided to format everything and reinstall Windows XP Service Pack 2.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI've been working on this issue on my own for about a week now. I'm not entirely sure how to start explaining, so I'll just do a rundown of the noticable issues.
Hovering over the speaker icon gives me the text, "No speakers or headphones are plugged in." I use the internal speakers, and I always have my headphones plugged in. Audio playback troubleshooting doesnt give me anything (though at one point during my progress, it said that my audio device was disabled.)
Device management has been confusing at best. I can't seem to get the Realtek W8.1 drivers to properly download, even after finding the Acer-support driver.
I just recently had to do a clean install of windows 7 64 bit on a pavilion 15t-n200 notebook pc and discovered to my distress that the drivers page for this model doesn't have all the drivers such as display, ethernet, audio, and a few others that aren't installed. Support assistant doesn't recognize the missing drivers but they are shown as missing in device manager and don't come up with any Microsoft updates either.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an HP Pavilion Sleekbook Touchsmart 14-B132TX. My sound disappeared while I was working using it about a month ago. I phoned HP Hotline and the Tech Support told me to just uninstall it from Device Manager and upon restart, the driver will install automatically. Which I did.
The sound did come back but again it disappeared after about 15 minutes of use, so I called tech support again and they gave me links to HP Support for drivers to download and install which I did and restarted the computer and the sound came back again. BUT AGAIN, the sound disappeared. I phoned tech support and they told me to just do a system restore which I did and the sound came back again. But it again disappeared after about just 7 minutes of use.
These are the drivers I installed from HP's website: sp60642, sp64082, sp60464 and sp64031. After so many reinstallation of drivers. I cleaned my notebook with CCleaner and went to HP Support Assistant in the hope of getting a solution, there was an instruction there to download the QUALCOMM Atheros driver, and I installed again the said driver..The sound reappeared after restarting. AND AGAIN, it disappeared after just using the laptop for just about 3 minutes. This laptop is quite new, just bought it 10 months ago. I'm using the Windows 8 OS.
I had to reinstall windows because of a virus. Windows 7 Home Premium
I am unable to load the audio and card reader drivers. I've ran all the windows updates and use Dell's support for finding the correct drivers. The system analysis identifies the drivers I need, but they refuse to load.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64 on my HDX 18t Notebook which I received this week. I am having problems with the Audio, it slugish and makes my PC very slow at times, pushing up the CPU Resources to 100% and freezing up the PC. I've googled the problem and MANY people have the same issue with the IDT High Definition Audio CODEC Driver.
I've also tried to download the latest driver (sp43288) without any success, I still experience the same problem. I've read on this forum [url]
that some people had success with the sp42549.exe driver, at first it worked for me, but now I experience the same problem.
Ever since I have had my HDX 16t I have been plagued with problems with the audio acting weird in different ways.
For example, like several other users have probably experienced is the 50% CPU usage from the STacSV.exe process, which is related to the headphone jacks.
I have gone through so many different driver version of the audio drivers trying to fix the problem. I have also tried the generic drivers that come with Windows, however none of those drivers works flawlessly. I have tried reinstalling Windows many, many time but that makes no difference.
I have even though through some massive threads such as this one [url]
I started having this problem recently after changing some things from starting up using services.msc and I think I disabled something I was not suppose to, before I did any changes when I lowered the volume on the HDX I would actually see the graphics for it, but now I am not able to, and also I don't think I am able to control the Bass & Treble using the touch controls, so anyone using and HDX can you tell me what services I need in order for this to work,
